Allen-Bradley CompactLogix 1769-L32E to Omron NS8-TV00B-V1 screen

2 posts in this topic

I was curious if anyone has an example using the NS8-TV00B-V1 (or similar NS screen) to an Allen-Bradley CompactLogix 1769-L32E (or similar CompactLogix or ControlLogix PLC). I can get the screen to talk to the Allen-Bradley PLC by mapping the tags to N7, B3, T4, etc. within the PLC software, but cannot use the actual tag for a screen button or numerical entry/display.

I was able to map tags in the Allen-Bradley software to communicate to the Omron touch screen (using B* for bit level, N* for integer level, F* for floating point level, and L* for double-integer level) . Unfortunately (but I was hoping it could be done) that the actual tag could not be used (for instance, in the CompactLogix software giving the name "PushButton" & addressing in the Omron touch screen "Pushbutton").
