Is there such a thing as small CoDeSys PLC?

9 posts in this topic

What is the smallest PLC platform that is available on the CoDeSys platform? Is there anything equivalent to a 'brick' plc?

The closest thing that I have seen to a brick style PLC with CoDeSys is the Rexroth Indralogic L10. http://www.boschrexroth.com/business_units...CFQa-sgodIU_otg There may be others!!

How do prices compare to a 'brick'? I'm guessing that's at least £500s worth?

I've only ever used the Turck Programmable gateways, they come in both inside the panel and outside the panel versions, both modular IO systems. They are the BL67 and the BL20. Lists in the US for around £420...

Check out the Beckhoff BC9100. Uses their TwinCat software which is essentially the same as CoDeSys. Base is around $300US and you can add what ever IO you need. Has ethernet built in!!

Look at this: http://www.abb.com/product/ap/seitp329/cf4...de0030b6b4.aspx I think that this is the closest brick PLC. It's price is around 200 € for a bare PLC.
