Communation FX - USB

Hi, Can somebody tell me if it is possible to connect to a FX1N sieries via USB port. I am using GX Developer V7.01B and have SC-09 cable, what do I need? please help

Yes. You can buy USB to serial adapter at any computer store but you need to configure port no. COM1 TO COM5.

You can also buy the FX-USB-AW. It's a standard USB cable with an small adapter for the CPU port.

Thank you for reply, I have tried a USB-Serial adapter and have tried configuring to various COM ports with no success I get "Cannot communicate with PLC. Execute again after checking the connections with the PLC <ES:01802007>" OR "An unusuable COM port was specified. Execute again after checking the COM port settings. <ES:01808009> Any ideas about where I am going wrong. I am using Vista Ultimate OS

Whose USB to serial adapter are you using? Are the drivers updated for Vista? Are you sure you're using the right COM port that matches your USB adapter setting? And of course, is RSLinx running? And most importantly, is this 64-bit Windows? Mitsu titles don't run on 64-bit Vista.
