FACTORYTALK LOCKS'UP

2 posts in this topic

I have a powerfull Dell Optiplex 755, Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.2GHz, 2GB Ram, HD 150GB. The computer is linked on a network ethernet 10/100 with a server using Windows 2003 Server with a especific domain. Problem Description: The software was installed on domain and after ~20 minutes run an application on FactoryTalk, it lock-up and not respond for 40 seconds when some command at screen was executed. Are there some configuration that I want to modify? Like Windows Security, Firewall, AntiVirus or something at Rockwell Software on Security or something more?

Walk us through how your system is structured. It sounds like you have a PLC out on your network, and you setup FactoryTalk's data server to pull data, and the data server locks up? Allen-Bradley markets FactoryTalkHistorian (data server) and FactoryTalkView (control - HMI), as well as other FactoryTalk modules.
