*.fwd problem

i got a *.fwd file and i can not open it. I looked on internet and found out that it it an ProTool RT file. but when i tried to open it, the program gives me a message that appears while starting ProTool/Pro Runtime, saying that the structure of the configuration file "*.fwd" is incompatible and I should generate the configuration file again does anyone have any ideas?

What version is your Protool Pro ? Maybe the fwd file is made with a newer Protool Pro. Or maybe the fwd file has nothing to do with Protool RT. This would explain why Protool RT complains when it tries to load the file. What else can the person who sent you the file tell you ? I find it odd that you have to find out how to use the fwd file by yourself.
