5TI help! PLEASE

Hi Guys, my first post.... I'm looking for anyone who has had experience with the old texas instruments 5TI sequencer. My customer has an machine with this thing in it and it just died..... I want to put a SLC in it, I have a printout of the ladder, but am having problems with some of the instructions, like why 2 lines into a timer/counter? or how can any output look like -(/)- is it a "not" output? if so then how will it ever turn on? I found lots of them but 99% have a -( )- with the same address. I think they work like a latch/unlatch or set/reset function. Does the sequencer scan like a PLC or one rung(network) at a time? Help please!!!! they are down and I would like to get them back up asap. Cheers Jeff
