It had some electronics in the cable, so it's not something you can easily make. You should talk to wholesalers, such as plccenter.com to see if they have one.

Good morning, Basically the cable you need is a RS232/RS485 converter. Here is a drawing to make such a converter : http://mbrochand.chez-alice.fr/cable_tsx.pdf It could be used as well for the new Modicon PLCs (TSX 37, 57 etc.). If you can find a cable for the new series (TSX PCU3030 by example) it could be used with the 17 by making an adapter. JC
