E-stop testing requirements

Where does it layout the requirement for the testing of e-stops. I have read somplace that they should be tested daily, but I cannot remember where. TIA. Moltra

depends where you are for the exact law but in the UK everything depends on risk assessment so that if you have a well guarded machine that runs continuously with minimal human input once a week or month or even year might be OK but if like the rest us you have machines where the operators and maintenance people are in and out all the time and there is a lot of operator involvement then once a shift might be necessary
