  1. Good morning I have a problem with communication with a Yaskawa inverter, specifically GA500. The device communicates via the EtherCat network. Communication works, but when I want to change my PDO, I have a problem as shown in the screenshot in attachment. The problem occurs when I add the "Operation Command" variable. I have no idea what the problem is. I did not find a library on the Omron website that could support this inverter. thank you in advance for your help.
  2. Good day everybody!    I am having issues troubleshooting a machine which is controlled by a VIPA PLC. I must admit that I am not very knowledgeable with this brand so I am a bit hesitant to touch anything. From the machine's supplier I got a .wld file which I could load into an SD card and load into the VIPA PLC itself through a Master Reset procedure. Still, our issue persists so I was wondering if I could somehow extract this .wld file into Speed7 Studio (or another program) to visualize it and try to troubleshoot the issue. Or in another case, if there was a way to directly read the currently loaded program from the PLC.    As I said, I had never worked with this brand before so I am being a little overly cautious with what I touch in this PLC.    Thanks for your help!
  3. Hi everyone, I'm trying to change the frequency reference of a q2v Yaskawa inverter via EtherCAT. The inverter is equipped with Yaskawa EtherCAT option and I'm using an Nx plc programmed using sysmac studio. According to the YASKAWA EtherCAT manual (https://inverterdrive.com/file/Yaskawa-EtherCAT-Option-Manual) the frequency reference is not a standard mapped PDO (the standards ones are shown on pages 85 and 86), so PDO needs to be remapped by writing to map object 1A00-1A28 (a short description for them is on page 57). No other Infos are reported in this manual. Can anyone help me? basically, I need to write (what?) to these register (how? are they SDO?) to remap the standard PDO mapping. Many thanks in advance.
  4. Remote Omron and Yaskawa control

Information : On the websites - https://abrysshost.web.app (and https://abrysshost .firebaseapp.com ) detailed information about the construction of remote diagnostics and control (Iot) systems for control systems of objects based on OMRON and Yaskawa controllers. The information is presented in Russian and English.
  5. All of the ethercat servos I have installed are Omron. I have used many many brands in the past - over analog, pulse train, but not ethercat. I have one of the Yaskawa servopacks that can control two servos independently. The drive is all wired (POT, NOT, safety), autotuned, it's in RUN OK state, I have installed the ESI file, set up the axis, mapped the PDOs.. it's all working, but they do not move. I made a test program just with MC_POWER and MC_MOVEJOG/MC_MOVERELATIVE/MC_MOVEABSOLUTE along with the resetting of MC and EC and the servos do turn on, but ignore any movement command. They do not flare up with an error, and they give me their actual position, so the network is working. If I send the movement command the command position starts to differ, so the plc is/should be sending the command. I feel like there's something missing in the PDO mapping screen, but I didn't need to do all of this with Omron so I have no idea. I thought at first the servos needed huge units of movement and speed but the actual position value confirms this is not the case since it doesn't ever change.
  6. A new development is proposed - Sasha_Local_MQTT_Client.exe for remote management OMRON controllers (CS1, CJ1, CJ2, CPL, NJ...) and Yaskawa controllers (MP2300, MP3000,...). This development is based on the use of LOCAL freeware MQTT Broker - Mosquitto.org installed on the user's computer or on the organization's service computer, depending on the purpose and goals set during use. The app is designed for technologies : - IoT; - Remote control; - Remote diagnostics. - Start-up and adjustment works on the site, when the Adjuster   must be located away from the object's control cabinets; - Issuing technological tasks to different objects (PLC) from the same technological center; - Generating relevant information about the object for   service personnel and company management. MQTT Broker is implemented on a separate computer, and client computers communicate with the broker-computer either via a local network or via WI-FI. Client-computers exchange information with OMRON PLC via interfaces: - USB; - Ethernet/IP; - Ethernet; - RS232/485; Client computers exchange information with the Yaskawa PLC via an interface: - Modbus/TCP; Client-computers can exchange with PLC both independently (without connecting to MQTT broker) and together with a Central MQTT broker. You can connect up to 256 (or more) clients to a single MQTT broker. Additionally, for each client, the mode of information exchange with the PLC is  implemented by means of Android smartphone connected to the Internet. The exchange can be  carried out by a smartphone from anywhere in the world where Internet connection is implemented. For a description of an Android program for exchanging information between a client and an Android smartphone, see www.mrplc.com-omron-download-utilite-Omron_Control. The software package is written in Delphi XE 10.3.3 (Embarcadero) using several components from other developers. Note. For OMRON controllers, the development of the exchange interface is based on the use of: - or functions and packages of the CXServer program (OMRON); - or using a special DLL - Ethernets.dll; The basic version of this program includes a Central broker, client computers,  and Android smartphones can read and write words and bits of the entire PLC memory. The extended version of the program allows for many additional modes, and information can be exchanged between controllers from different manufacturers connected to the client-computer via different interfaces. If you are interested in using or upgrading the specified program you can contact its author, Dr.-eng., Alexander Ryss by E-mail : ab.ryss@yandex.ru

  8. Yaskawa U84S CPU in Stop Mode

Dear All, Yaskawa Memocon-SC U84S CPU is installed but it is in Stop mode,as its RUN indication is OFF and PLC is not generating any output. can anyone tell me how to shift it to RUN mode as P190 is also not attached with this system. Thanks
  9. Has anyone had experience with EtherCAT Communications using Sysmac, NJ5 PLC & Yaskawa SI-ES3 EtherCAT Comms board for A1000 VFD?  I have looked at the manual, but as I am still green on Sysmac & Omron programming in general.....not sure I understand what to do to simple Drive Status monitoring, Execute RUN/STOP & Speed Select... Thanks in advance :)
  10. hello,,,, i want to ask, is there a way to convert the yaskawa PLC ladder program to a Mitsubishi PLC? and what software is used to program PLC brand of YASKAWA?
  11. Good Day, I am seeing intermittent bUs (communication bus) errors on 3 VFD's simultaneously.  These are Yaskawa P1000's with CM092 Industrial Ethernet Cards. There are Stratix 5700 switches between the drives and the Controllogix 1756-L75 CPU.  Happens every day to every week -- intermittent. Reading parameter F6-98, it indicates a 'connection time out'.  I don't understand why I would receive this fault.  IGMP snooping and querier are enabled on all switches, if that matters. I do not have unicast checked but Yaskawa said that didn't matter.  Packet time is 100 milliseconds.  I welcome any input on what might cause this.  One Yaskawa tech said I should set speed to 100 Mbps (now set at 10 Mbps). Any help appreciated.
  12. hello.   I've been trying to communicate this omron plc CP1L-EM30DT1-D, with a yaskawa inverter cimr-vu4a0004faa. but i can't figure out how to make de correct mov or configuration in de DM. i need to run/stop, change frequency.    some help, please. :) 485PRUEBA.cxp 485PRUEBA.opt
  13. All, I have been trying for days to find a way to control a yaskawa v1000 over Ethernet. I have been trying to use explicit messaging but I cannot find the instance class  etc in any of the yaskawa literature. All I can find is to use EDS files with RS5000 but I have a micrologix 1400 and I don't have that capability. If anyone has any recommendations let me know. Thank You, Liam M.
  14. Hello. I am working on an a machine automation project. I come from an Allen-Bradley background and am new to the OMRON environment. However so far the difference has appeared slight.  My current issue, involves an MCH71 motion controller and an 'ORIGIN SEARCH' Routine.  I am using MECHATROLLINKS II for the communication. I have set up my Registers just fine in CX-Programmer and have successfully performed jogging and incremental move functions from CX-Programmer using ladder instructions with the required bits sent to the MCH. I am however at a bit of a hurdle with the ORIGIN SEARCH function. I have read the manual numerous times. I have not been able to determine where exactly the Limit Switch is to be terminated to become a 'point of origin' so i can perform an origin search command. I will be using a single point of origin (Limit Switch) I have included any relevant documentation that I could dig up. It would APPEAR to me that the limit switch must be terminated to '41' I do not know what that refers to in terms of I/O points. (This was an old demo unit that I am now to utilize for a 3 axis machine...) I might add that this is my first motion control project. (I am from process control background) Each servodriver unit has a break-out I/O terminal block. I find no reference to '41' on any of them. (The 'P-OT and N-OT' have been disabled within the system parameters as well.) I plan on using these parameters;  1 for P4AA01 1 for P4AA02 (could this be wrong) 1 for P4AA03(also unsure) 1 for P4AA04(this i am pretty sure about) 0 for P4AA05(this i am positive will be required for accuracy) P4AA07 will require tweaking once i have set this up.    It is all in test mode and the servos are just secured to a test bench....Thanks.
