  3. MR-J2S- Servo Driver to PLC

I have a test station to test MR-J2S Servo drivers,  I am looking for something unique in the drivers to be able to save data about that test.  First thought was the SN, but i am not seeing any way to pull serial number from the driver. Only found it on the side of driver and really don't want people having to type it in , cause usually they type in the wrong numbers.  Does anyone know of a way to get the serial number out of the driver? or at least where it could be found?  Or any other unique identifier in these drivers?
  4. CX-One for Windows 11

CX-One is currently listed as incompatible with Windows 11. Does anyone know what Omron's plan is with this? Apparently our IT is upgrading everyone (regardless of their job function) to Windows 11 after September. If there's a problem then I will have to argue with them to keep my Windows 10 laptop after September. Fun times.

  14. GX Developer/FX2 Problems

Good Morning Everyone I have a problem that I do hope someone can help me with. My work laptop is used only for PLC and VSD(Vfd) configuration. It is an aging Lenovo running windows XP and it has GX Developer, GX IEC and a few of the Mitsi configurator tools and Mitsi FX configurator for VSDs. I bought a couple of new VSDs and got a copy of the new FX2 for configuration of the VSDs. I installed the FX2, used it configure 2 VSDs and that was it. Yesterday I tried to use the GX Developer to make a few changes to one of our A series PLCs and could not get it to load. On loading, the first windows info block says "System Stop Failed. Please restart Windows" if I click the OK button the next info block states "Operation Ended Incorrectly. Restart the application" If I click on the OK button it appears to load, however when one selects the Project to open it crashes and comes up with another info block " Gppw.exe has encountered a problem and needs to Close." As we were a little under the pump to get the changes made yesterday I did unistall the FX2 program, this did not fix the problem. If anyone could shed some light on a fix for this I would appreceiate it. Thanks in advance.
  15. I wish to print from a Panelview Plus 7 1500 to a Konica Minolta 'bizhub' 4402P. The printer is not on the same network as the machine but is reachable through a router to the corporate network. I already have this working on one machine but don't know how we succeeded in setting it up. The setup that works is: Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard (it's actually a Konica Minolta 4402P). Model: Color LaserJet 3800. Port  10.xx.xx.xx (the WAN address of the printer). Driver: wt5hpspd.dll (v52.1070) We never had a Color LaserJet 3800 but we may have had a black and white HP laser printer that worked with this driver and now works with the Konica when our IT department replaced it. When using Add Printer the system tries to connect with the specified IP address and fails (even though we can ping it) and then the drive installation stops. Does anyone know a way to force the installation so I can try to replicate the working setup?
  16. Dear automation friends,   I just like to put some issue in the clear that I have seen no reported issues on yet, but it is killing me. Maybe some other people in the world also have this issue. We use Windows 2016 on FT View v10. All patched with all compatible patches (both Windows and Rockwell). We install this software a lot but we only got this issue seen/reported on windows 2016. I never had a Rockwell issue that took so long without getting it fixed. Support is also not really helping.   We just have a setup of Windows 2016 with 2x redundant FT View Servers and about 10x Clients with each 4x screens. The HMI clients run perfectly but every few days, 1 application (on 1 of the 4 screens) just crashes "DisplayClient.exe application crash...". That closes the HMI interface and then the users needs to click on the hmi.cli file to launch that screen again. Refering to ntdll.dll in the windows events. No additional info except for the windows error reporting that is unable to contact the internet to send the crash report. Looking in the FT Diagnostics, it happens while the operator is operating the hmi screen. Not when there is no activity.   We reinstalled 1 client completely from scratch, including the OS, domain integration, everything brandnew. And 10 hours later: crash on 1 of the 4x screens. In a control room with almost 30 screens, this is very annoying and unacceptable.   If you have a similar issue or got the issue fixed, please let me know. If you have a similar issue and don't have it fixed, we can share more detailed logs.   Best Regards,

  18. Wonderware DASMTEthernet Driver

I have a client who is duplicating an existing Wonderware SCADA/MELSEC Q Series with a Wonderware 2014 R2 configuration, which they want to maintain that version.  The driver they use is the DASMTEthernet, which is no longer available from Wonderware.  I'm looking for any lead I can find to get hold of this driver, or a good solution to resolve the communications.
  19. Siemens IPC477D Touchscreen Driver Needed

I have reloaded a IPC477D with Windows 7 64-bit and everything is working but since we do not have the original installation disk or ISO, we have no way to load the touchscreen driver. I am looking for any information that would lead me to the OEM for the touchscreen or if anyone has access to the IPC installation DVD, all we need is the touchscreen driver directory which should have both the 32-bit and 64-bit version. Siemens tech support indicated we must repurchase a installation DVD for $350.00 and it would ship from the fatherland and be here in about a week. Thanks in advance.

  21. Hello! I am beginner in PLC world, also in SIEMENS PLCs. I managed communication over private network. Now I have a problem that I get same values on all inputs. Picture below shows my configuration of driver and data monitor. First picture shows values when input I0.0 is in state 0. Second picture shows values when input I0.0 is in state 1. Physically on PLC only input I0.0 is forced to 1, input I0.1 stays 0. But data monitor shows both inputs as state 1. Where is problem? Is problem in PLC program, TIA portal? I saw some guys using DataBlocks but I am not skilled enough to use it. Third picture shows simple PLC program on my PLC. Please help. Thanks in advance!
  22. Hello! I am trying to connect my PLC with SCADA. I am using S7-1200 1212C CPU (RELAY outputs). My SCADA system is iFIX 5.8 with driver S7A. I am trying to establish connection via GPRS router (TCP/IP). Port being used is 102 (default by S7A driver). In my company we have private network, SIM card in GPRS router gets static IP (set by RADIUS server)  which is 10.247.XXX.XXX. My PLC has IP 192.168.0.10 set in Project. I am not sure what am I doing wrong. How to correctly set IP address in PLC to communicate in private network via GPRS router with static IP? I already enabled TCP port 102 in my router but I am not sure to which IP should I enable it because I am not sure if IP address set in PLC is correct. Should I use some communication blocks in program? I also enabled PUT/GET function (see attached pictures). Please help. Thanks in advance! :)
  23. Hi guys, So, I'm having an issue installing GX Developer on a 64-bit Windows 10 Laptop, the primary installer opens, at 99%, then disappears and the process eventually dies, I've exhausted all available compatibility options, does anyone have any advice?
  24. Good day to all, I am trying to establish DDE communication between my PLC (1769-L23ER) and MS Access via RSLinx Classic Gateway (3.9) over Windows Server 2012 R2.  On my developing PC (Windows 7), there isn't any issue at all. But when I port the codes over to Windows Server 2012 R2, MS Access is not able to establish DDE communications with the PLC.  I was wondering what went wrong. The error message from MS Access is "MS Access can't find the specified application and topic because it can't open the DDE channel, err.Number is 282. The code for getting the channel is as follow OpenRSLinx = Application.DDEInitiate("RSLinx","PLC-D") I was wondering was there anything I have miss out. eg. Configuration of the server, path settings, etc.. Any help is welcome. TIA Cheers CY

Hi Does anyone know of windows 10 drivers for the FX-USB-AW or if not best way to connect to it without using ethernet.
