    Hello! My name is Gabriela. First, I do not speak very good English. I have to do a project! I have a HMI (NQ3- TQ000B) to OMRON for a teaching platform. I installed NQ Designer for it. I did the program in CX-Programmer . But I have a misunderstanding. How can I connect the CX with NQ . How can I assign internal bits set from CX-Programmer in buttons from NQ-Designer? In the end, I would like that after I connected bits with buttons and I transferred the program to HMI, when I push the button on the HMI interface, the platform to do what I programmed in cx.

  3. Hello there. I have connected wireless module (master) to Vijeo Citect 7.4 using RS-485 to USB converter. My slave modules are supplied power from gird/generator and the master module is supplies from a UPS.    I'm reading Modbus registers of slaves modules data via wireless master. Every time we have a power failure from grid, I get #BAD from all slave addresses. The generator kicks off within 30 sec. That is the slaves are off for 30 sec. Even after the slaves are powered on, SCADA does not poll data from it until I restart the SCADA.    My current MODBUS parameters are:   Inittype = 3, TimeOut = 3000, WatchTime = 10, Retry = 2. Could you please assist me on which parameters to change in .ini so that SCADA reads Modbus registers of slave for more than 30 sec.   I tried increasing TimeOut to 30000 but it couldn't solve the problem. I would appreciate if some one could help me out.   Thanak you in advance.      
  4. I am working on project which is using Micrologix 1400 and AB Panelview. I am using FactoryTalk View Studio to build the HMI. The PLC needs to know which screen is displayed on HMI so some additional functionality can be activated. How would this be done? I was looking where could I write screen number to N7 location in the PLC or set a bit in B3 area but could not find anything. Thanks for your help.

    Hi there, I'm just a beginner in PLC programing and I'm just installed siemens step7 latest version on my laptop... but I have an issue with this program after I created rack and insert my ps, cpu and DI/DO modules... when I want start insert Symbol tables; this symbol editor doesn't exist under option tab... so for now what can I do with this, maybe sth changed in this version, I don't know...  how can I fix this problem??     Thanks.

  6. IFIX Problem

    I have restored a crashed IFIX to a new PC. The restore is ok and installed GE9 driver. With the GE9 power tools, we can observed that data transmits and recieve. The problem is that the screen scada is not updating i.e. no status/feedback, anything is happening. The LAN network TCP/IP was configured i.e. IP, subnet and gateway. Any remedies/advice is most welcome. Please provide a guide on the communication/configuration setup. Thanks

Hello there, I would like to add a "Print" button to my PanelView HMI screens that will basically do a screen capture of the current screen the button is on and then have that file saved in some format ("JPG, PDF, etc). The file could either reside in the memory of the HMI, saved to a USB drive or SD card so that an operator could retrieve the image easily. Transmitting the image over Ethernet to a PC or server would be ideal but probably a bit out there for the applications that I usually create. A local store and retrieve process is fine for now. Anyone got any advice on how to make something like that happen? Is that even possible on PV 700 or 1000 HMI units? Many thanks in advance!
  8. Dear Experts!!! I am facing one problem in FT View SE v8.0 : I have 15 screens : 5 "are replaceable" with full resolution and other 10 are popup displays with half the resolution of that of Monitor and are "on the top" type. I have a buttons to go to those pop up screens. Whenever I press any button to open any pop up screen the background screen (Replacable type, full screen) becomes shorten and pop up displays works like they should. i.e. whenever a pop up display opens, full background screen display suppresses automatically. Then i go to another full screen and then come to the main working full screen then it becomes ok. This phenomenon occurs whenever a pop up display open (not VBA controlled). Its a simple display open button ( not VBA controlled) As you can see in the picture the back image is suppressed :- http://postimg.org/image/c5um49c5h/ Normally it comes to full screen , its like :- http://postimg.org/image/vtli1bd7f/ when I go to some other replaceable type screen and come back again to this screen, it becomes OK.   9. Hello. We have in the company machine from China. Omron HMI panel NB7W TWOOB. When you upload a project program NB-desinger 1.36 Windows writes the program stopped responding. And then when decompiling .pkg file comserver.dat font_1 font_2 font_3 font_4 font_5 gui.dat ?????????.pkg ?????????.rcp servo.dat Error fonts. Error macro files. How do I install fonts And what problems Upload project I need your professional advice. Thank you
  10. hi i am using vijeo citect 7.4 i generate a report automatically using a triger but the report generated in the .rtf form which any body can change the values in the report so i want to either make the report in the read only form or convert it automatically to pdf + i ' ve another problem i am tring to write a string in the report using the form {tag_name:############} where the tag_name is a variable string memory where i store in it a word "starter" when the report is generated only two letters "st" is generated can any body give me a solution for these two problems , thanks in advance .
  11. Dear friends. I faced one problem of recipe working. Could somebody help me? I try to create recipe and use it in my program. Fisrt of all I decided to learn how it working and for this I used documentation NB-Designer Operation Manual. I created my test program, but it doesn't work as I need. Bellow I want to describe, what I need: I want to have 5 program with 4 parameters and download these program with parameters inside to the PLC. In attachment you can see my program. test.zip
  12. I am struggling with the following problem: We have a Momentum PLC running with a project downloaded from Concept 2.6. When I make a small change into the project and I download the change to PLC there seems to be no problem. But when I try to run a visualisation project in Vijeo Look then after any click in visualisation the yellow triangles with red crosses appear over every object on the screen. We run OFS to enable communication between PLC and Vijeo Look. We use non-allocated variables in the project and probably the Visualisation does not work well with those unallocated variables after project changes. Can someone please describe steps which need to be taken to compile or upload a Concept project so that it works well in Vijeo Look with unallocated variables?

    I want to put a Numerical Input on the screen to show a timer counting up. How do I make the display show whole seconds instead of tenths of a second as set by K in the timer? Is there somewhere that I can divide the input by 10? Thanks Denbo
  14. I have an interesting problem. On my NQ HMI, I am changing one bit of the alarm word to true. The first time I do this, one alarm becomes active, and appears in my alarm list on my HMI. Then when I change the bit back to zero, the alarm becomes inactive. Then when I make the bit true again, the alarm does NOT become active again. Nor does a new alarm appear at the top of the list. What do I need to do to make a fresh alarm appear in the list? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Hello, I'm from Poland. I would like to use the Sony Xperia Z to communicate with Omron NB screens using free software Omron HMI Remote Viewer. Unfortunately, I can not install this software. The attempt ends with the message "Your device is not compatible with this version". Android have software version 5.0.2. Does anyone in this matter can advise me something? Thank you in advance.   18. Hi Guys I'm new to Omron PLC's and the NB HMI series terminals. I have a question regarding the status of a currently logged in user. What memory area bit can I check to see if a user is actually logged in ? Secondly, where can I find a document that shows the memory areas and any system words/bits ? I found bits and pieces here and there but nothing that shows the memory area layout in full. Regards Steve

I'm new to Omron, and after several days of diving into manuals trying to figure this out on my own and giving myself a headache I've come to accept that i need help. my task is the following: Control of the discrete and analog inputs/outputs in a DeviceNet system using an Omron CJ1M PLC’s and PT’s. Use at least one thermocouple, one analog input, and one analog output for the DeviceNet network. Use a pushbutton and a light for the start of the process and an indicator for the started process. I have a Drt1-Ad04 input, a Drt1-ad02 output, and a Drt1-ts04t temperature control. My devicenet is Cj1w-drm21, The Omron system itself is a cj1m-cpu13 etn21. I have node addresses for my input, outputs and temperature control, those being 35 for input, 25 or 30 for output and for temperature control 5, 15, or 20. The ip address im using for this project is 142.214.143.9I'm using Cx programmer, Designer and Integrator. On Cx programmer I've managed to create an IO table but i have no idea on how to begin the program or even get a current reading from my generator.On Designer I've made what i believe to be the layout of the pushbuttons, I just have no idea of what addresses to enter.And on integrator i'm having troubles on figuring out how to make a routing table. I've went through many manuals and either i'm missing something really basic here or I just have no idea on what I'm doing. The only advice I was given was to dive into more manuals and find my addresses for my inputs, outputs, and temperature or to find the information from an outside source be that a forum or customer service. I am able to provide more information, and screenshots of what I have done if needed. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated!

  25. Hi All I'm tasked to create operator screens for the Magelis HMI touch panels, using Vijeo Designer(v6.2). I would like to animate an object based on information (metadata) from a variable. Typically "Variable_xyz.HiHi". How can this be achieved? I have gone through most of the help documentation but cannot find a way to retrieve metadata. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
