  4. ello I have a powerflex 400 of 25HP for a 60amp 25HP motor, the motor have a belt that move the clarifier of milk. It is a process that requires strength to move.So I try with the motor without the clarifier the vdf works well with a constant amp of 12 to the max of 50hz that is set up with a ramp of 600 sec. Then I try with the belt that move the clarifier... The vdf start the ramp with a wird amp behavior like 10 sec 100 amp and then 13 amp for 10 sec. When it gets to 50hz (the max) it starts the same behavior 13 amp when it reach the max RPM and when it decrease a little bit it gets 100 amp to get to the max RPM again. In this vdf powerflex 400 I didn't see the % of torque options that the last one Fuji had.Someone told me that powerflex 400 is not for power processed, they are focus in pumps and blowers more alike, and that I need a vdf vectorial like a powerflex 725.What do you think...PD: as the 100 amp is like 10 sec the protections dont show up. PD: I made a try with water and hot water, in that point with the max hz  (and 6800rpm) when the hot water start to flow the amp gets constant in 75 amp, but the motor dosnt get to the 6800 rpm again it just keep trying in 6700rpm and it mantains the 75amp triggering the motor protection for overload.
  5. Anyone know what could be missing to be able to import this stepper motor to sysmac? This is one of the supplied xml files for the stepper motor.     FASTECH_Ezi-SERVO2_EtherCAT - OMRON.xml
  6. I have 23 Micrologix 1400s and I want to take the same register, N100:99, out of each one and put in a single array in a CompactLogix L18ER. From what I have tried, it only seems like I can only map a range of integers, N100:77-N100:100, to the array and not an individual register to a particular element. (For example, mapping N100:99 from machine 16 to Selected_Model[15]) Can you map to individual elements in an array? If so, are there any instructions on how to do so? Thank you in advance for reading my post!
  7. Good day everyone, First post here so hopefully I'm not violating community guidelines in anyway. I've got a system that has some 50 odd Micrologix 1100 and 1400 in use and I'm currently working on setting up an auto timesync for all of them using just 1 of the PLCs that will be my master time PLC. So far I've put together the logic for all the message instructions with the corresponding IP of the slave devices. I'm running. Into an issue with not being able to terminate/break the message connection on a PLC that I have already synced. Is this even possible to do on the ML1100. Once I get to 16-17 messages DN it starts to ER and will not complete any further messages. What I have is a message instruction ladder with a timed trigger to activate a MSG and write the RTC data then time down and connect and write to the next and so on. When it triggers the message instruction of one PLC it also fires an OTE to trigger the BK of the previous message instruction. However it doesn't seem to be actually cutting the message connection and holds it persistent until a power cycle/download event.

  12. Hi everyone, To explain the problem a little bit: I have 2 systems that are equal, they have 1 PLC, 1 Inverter and 1 Servo Axis (Image01). The devices are connected via EtherCat. The thing here is tht in these systems the PLC and Servo Axis is the same but the inverter is different. My goal is to have the same project on both systems and depending on the inverter detected use the correct program. What worked: If I add the 2 Inverters and 2 Servo Axis on the project on different nodes (Image02), I can detect which is present using the variable _EC_EntrySlavTb[n]. My issue is that if I want to make more replicas of the systems using different inverters I will eventually hit the Axis Number limit for the PLC while in reality I am only using on Servo Axis at a time. What I wanted: I would like to be able to control 1 Servo Axis with 2 different inverters (only one active per PLC) (Image03). What I tried: The axis parameters can be set using a variable of the type _sAXIS_PARAM, however it seems that the option to change the axis basic settings is not available (Manual: NJ/NX-series Motion Control Instructions Reference Manual (W508) page 5-58) (Image04). The axis basic settings is where the definition of the output device plus control words are set (Image05). Is there a work around to solve this issue? I would really like to avoid having to manually change the output device for the Servo Axis every time I make an update on all the systems.   Best Regards, BR
  13. Hello everyone! I would like to connect a Micrologix 1100 with Citect 7.5 via ABMLXEIP (updated to latest version). I tried everything and it is still not working. The Citect and the PLC are on the same subnet and the ping works fine. All the configuration is done as the manual says (I attach the pictures). I have one NIC card and is connected to the PLC. The role is setted to “Server and Control Client”. The kernel has this error: [ERROR] [CORE] [0x07fc] [IOServer] [(GLOBAL)] [ErrorLog()][errlog.cpp] [266 ] Error: Channel offline, cannot talk CINIT 0015 PORT1_BOARD1 IODev_1100 Error_in_CMD-2 16 Generic 000021 Driver 00000020 (0x00000014) Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks, Gustavo.
  14. simple motion cam curve

Good afternoon, I have a problem in an application for a rotary knife, I'm using a MR-JE-B servo to make this movement, while my material is powered by an inverter connected to a modbus rs485 network, with a 5v encoder connected directly in motion. I'm having some problems and I think it's my cam curve. I have a very high refeneration, and the system doesn't obey the size of the length I want the cut. It always cuts the same size, regardless of the configuration I use, it always cuts to 245mm. Put some photos, how are my settings. Grateful in advance, if anyone can help me. 17. Hi , we have Fx3U-128MT and a Hybrid Stepping Motor 2 Phase (17HS4401).   Do we need to install  FX3U-2HSY-ADP to control the stepping motor or we can program it no problem using  PLC User's Manual - Positioning Control Edition? Do we need  a Driver?
  18. NX1P2 Motion Control

Hi:       I need to change an old PLC  with NX1p2  to control 3 servo motor by means of Analog Outputs couple with encoders, My job is to change the PLC only. So the servo drives and drivers are untouchable (No budget and involve too much mechanical works).   I observed that Sysmac Sttudio Axes setting has this: Servo Axes, Encoder axes, Virtual Servo Axis and Virtual Encoder Axes.   I believe the Encoder Axes couple with Analog Output is able to to do the Job? If so, what function block should i use? If no, do any body have a suggestion of any function block i can use? Thanks
  19. CJ1M con CJ1W-EIP21 a ControlLogix

Hello I am trying to communicate a CJ1M with a CJ1W-EIP21 Card, with a Logix Control, but I have not been successful, what I am looking for is to read data, from the OMRON and see it in the Logix Control, but I have not been able to establish communication, I am looking for someone You will already have a functional example, with the backups of both PLC'S, to be able to observe how they made the configuration. Thank you for your support Greetings
  20. I'm having trouble with some Powerflex 525 drives. Right now what I need to do is run them manually from the keypad to test conveyor belts.  Is there a way to do this and if so how?   Thanks in advance.
  21. I'm trying to connect a SMC EX-260 to a Allen Bradley Micrologix 1400 PLC so  I can run some valves with it. However, RsLogix 500 doesn't allow me to just setup a generic ethernet device like I would on RsLogix 5000. Is there a way I can communicate these devices together so I can use the SMC Valve system with my Micrologix?
  22. home postion servo J3

Hi, I have a Mitsubishi Servo motor with its amplifier MR-J3-350T. I lose the home position. How can I set the value of the position to zero if I detect a home detector. I use gx developer. thank you
  23. Hi, I am quite newbie in the PLC world but I got my hand on a Kinetix 5500 (model 2198-Hxxx-ERS2) with a VPL-A0631E-C motor. I also have a CompactGuard logix 5380 to program it. I am doing a "for fun" project to experiment and learn how the devices work.  My first question is about power wiring. In my understanding from the manual, the Kinetix 5500 main power can be configured as three-phase or single phase (Using the L1, L2, L3, GND connector - think is called IPD). In my home I have a classic 220V (EU) socket. Is there a way to connect the Kinetix directly to my socket? I tried a few random stuff like L1 -> L , L2 -> N or L1 -> N , L3 -> L,  (GND -> GND) but every time the circuit would break. (Actually, I had one lucky attempted where the circuit did not fail with  L1 -> L , L2 -> N, and I managed to operate the motor, but when I reconnected it again it failed. Am quite buffled about the issue here. I am using a socket splitter if that something to comment on.) The second question is about purchasing an actuator. I found many interesting stuff like index tables or linear actuators. I requested a few quotes from some vendors but the price range they provided is a bit off budget for me (the majority was more than 2k). I am looking for some thing to attach to the motor in a price range of 1k - 1.5k. Do you have any suggestions for me? There are no load requirements. I just need to have a moving part so that I can for example put a barcode sticker on it and change the behaviour reading on that. I could attach something handmade but I am willing to put something extra to buy commercial equipment. As I am new to this, feel free to comment any inaccuracies or misconceptions. Happy to learn.
  24. Hello all, this is my first post. I am using an AB Micrologix 1400 (1766-L32BXB Ser C FW 21). I was trying to generate a pulse train using the PTO instruction. I have modified PTOX funct. file. The ladder is just a simple XIO followed by PTO, (The Quick Start ladder from 1766-RM001). When I looked at the output waveform on my oscilloscope, I noticed that it wasn't a square wave. I decided to run it at several different frequencies to see how the wave form would change. At 10Hz i got a square wave. As I increased the frequency the falling edge became sloped and almost horizontal. Is this how the output should behave? The data sheet indicates a max frequency of 100kHz, but at frequencies over 150 Hz. The wave form looks like the output of SMPS.
  25. I searched FX5 manuals and it appears that with the high speed inputs I can run a stepper motor without a motor controller. I have little experience setting up a new system with any motor but have made changes with servo issues. I sent a request for info from my supplier but I still have some questions/requests.   1. Can an FX5U control stepper motors without a motor controller? 2. If not then what Q/R series setup is required 3. Are there any document to help understand? (program examples are welcome)   Main objective is to run a sensor head to 3 or 4 specific points using a belt driven linear actuator with a nema motor.
