  1. Uploaded a program from a micrologix 1400, I added an integer data file. Went to download it, and the processor types were different. I suppose I am just going to change it to match what is on the machine, but why did this happen? The controller was password protected. so maybe it did not get the processor info for some reason. Even when online with the processor, it reads incorrect.
  2. Motion Control

Hi Everyone.   I have been tasked with changing out an older Flex Drive servo drive to a more modern Micro Flex drive in a machine that has an Omron CQM1H-CPU51 PLC.  I'm having a few issues but hope that i can gain some clarity around at least one of the hurdles Im facing from here. Biggest issue for me at this moment is My work hasn't yet purchased a programming lead for this PLC (or even the bits required to make one myself) but i have a feeling the control for the Servo is done via motion control in the PLC.  Question here is, if changing from one servo drive to another type, will the motion control code need to be updated to work with the new servo drive?  I have very limited experience with motion control itself at this stage so I'm a bit lost when it comes to these sort of details. 3. Hello I am not sure if anyone know how to select cable cross section for 5KW AC motor? Thank you
  4.  I am very green at this and learning online as I have purchased a brand new Micrologix 1400 1766L32BXBA. I am pulling my hair out as I cannot even power an LED or for that matter get any 24 volt reading from the outputs via program. I have even forced them on so shouldnt I be able to see something? I am connected via Ethernet ,Rslinx in concert with using Micro starter software (not lite) and the unit does not show any faults and is in the run mode. I can see the bits forced on the software and on the unit's LCD screen in I/O status. Is there a way to trouble shoot if the unit is bad or I am overlooking something incredibly simple. I do not have any floating inputs or outputs with the common from the power supply and the unit is properly grounded all nice and tidy on a din rail. Like I said I am very new at this so I am sorry if this is a bad question.
  5. Hello everyone, I am a newbie with PLC. I have a Micrologix 1000. The last time I connected with RSLinx easy, however, I change it to DH485 (I do not remember exactly). And now I can not connect it to RSLinx, I tried many times for all types of drivers. Please help me. Thank you very much.
  6. Can someone please suggest a Control Panel Builder that is located in Germany?   I work for a company in Australia and due to Covid 19, we are struggling to meet an onsite date for a project in Germany.   This project uses Siemens PLC gear, Danfoss drives, and mostly Schneider electrical gear. The enclosures are custom and stainless steal.    I have electrical schematics and enclosure drawings for quoting.

  11. ello I have a powerflex 400 of 25HP for a 60amp 25HP motor, the motor have a belt that move the clarifier of milk. It is a process that requires strength to move.So I try with the motor without the clarifier the vdf works well with a constant amp of 12 to the max of 50hz that is set up with a ramp of 600 sec. Then I try with the belt that move the clarifier... The vdf start the ramp with a wird amp behavior like 10 sec 100 amp and then 13 amp for 10 sec. When it gets to 50hz (the max) it starts the same behavior 13 amp when it reach the max RPM and when it decrease a little bit it gets 100 amp to get to the max RPM again. In this vdf powerflex 400 I didn't see the % of torque options that the last one Fuji had.Someone told me that powerflex 400 is not for power processed, they are focus in pumps and blowers more alike, and that I need a vdf vectorial like a powerflex 725.What do you think...PD: as the 100 amp is like 10 sec the protections dont show up. PD: I made a try with water and hot water, in that point with the max hz  (and 6800rpm) when the hot water start to flow the amp gets constant in 75 amp, but the motor dosnt get to the 6800 rpm again it just keep trying in 6700rpm and it mantains the 75amp triggering the motor protection for overload.
  12. Anyone know what could be missing to be able to import this stepper motor to sysmac? This is one of the supplied xml files for the stepper motor.     FASTECH_Ezi-SERVO2_EtherCAT - OMRON.xml
  13. I have 23 Micrologix 1400s and I want to take the same register, N100:99, out of each one and put in a single array in a CompactLogix L18ER. From what I have tried, it only seems like I can only map a range of integers, N100:77-N100:100, to the array and not an individual register to a particular element. (For example, mapping N100:99 from machine 16 to Selected_Model[15]) Can you map to individual elements in an array? If so, are there any instructions on how to do so? Thank you in advance for reading my post!
  14. Good day everyone, First post here so hopefully I'm not violating community guidelines in anyway. I've got a system that has some 50 odd Micrologix 1100 and 1400 in use and I'm currently working on setting up an auto timesync for all of them using just 1 of the PLCs that will be my master time PLC. So far I've put together the logic for all the message instructions with the corresponding IP of the slave devices. I'm running. Into an issue with not being able to terminate/break the message connection on a PLC that I have already synced. Is this even possible to do on the ML1100. Once I get to 16-17 messages DN it starts to ER and will not complete any further messages. What I have is a message instruction ladder with a timed trigger to activate a MSG and write the RTC data then time down and connect and write to the next and so on. When it triggers the message instruction of one PLC it also fires an OTE to trigger the BK of the previous message instruction. However it doesn't seem to be actually cutting the message connection and holds it persistent until a power cycle/download event.
  15. Hello to all  We have a problem with starting CPU. In GX Developer we click "Diagnostics" and see Error 2400 File set Error. What causes this error? 19. Hi everyone, To explain the problem a little bit: I have 2 systems that are equal, they have 1 PLC, 1 Inverter and 1 Servo Axis (Image01). The devices are connected via EtherCat. The thing here is tht in these systems the PLC and Servo Axis is the same but the inverter is different. My goal is to have the same project on both systems and depending on the inverter detected use the correct program. What worked: If I add the 2 Inverters and 2 Servo Axis on the project on different nodes (Image02), I can detect which is present using the variable _EC_EntrySlavTb[n]. My issue is that if I want to make more replicas of the systems using different inverters I will eventually hit the Axis Number limit for the PLC while in reality I am only using on Servo Axis at a time. What I wanted: I would like to be able to control 1 Servo Axis with 2 different inverters (only one active per PLC) (Image03). What I tried: The axis parameters can be set using a variable of the type _sAXIS_PARAM, however it seems that the option to change the axis basic settings is not available (Manual: NJ/NX-series Motion Control Instructions Reference Manual (W508) page 5-58) (Image04). The axis basic settings is where the definition of the output device plus control words are set (Image05). Is there a work around to solve this issue? I would really like to avoid having to manually change the output device for the Servo Axis every time I make an update on all the systems.   Best Regards, BR
  20. Hello everyone! I would like to connect a Micrologix 1100 with Citect 7.5 via ABMLXEIP (updated to latest version). I tried everything and it is still not working. The Citect and the PLC are on the same subnet and the ping works fine. All the configuration is done as the manual says (I attach the pictures). I have one NIC card and is connected to the PLC. The role is setted to “Server and Control Client”. The kernel has this error: [ERROR] [CORE] [0x07fc] [IOServer] [(GLOBAL)] [ErrorLog()][errlog.cpp] [266 ] Error: Channel offline, cannot talk CINIT 0015 PORT1_BOARD1 IODev_1100 Error_in_CMD-2 16 Generic 000021 Driver 00000020 (0x00000014) Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks, Gustavo.
  21. simple motion cam curve

Good afternoon, I have a problem in an application for a rotary knife, I'm using a MR-JE-B servo to make this movement, while my material is powered by an inverter connected to a modbus rs485 network, with a 5v encoder connected directly in motion. I'm having some problems and I think it's my cam curve. I have a very high refeneration, and the system doesn't obey the size of the length I want the cut. It always cuts the same size, regardless of the configuration I use, it always cuts to 245mm. Put some photos, how are my settings. Grateful in advance, if anyone can help me. 22. Would someone be so kind as to document a method to clear a fault on a Micrologix 1000. Does one need programming cable and software or is there another method to clear a fault to see if it returns? regards.
  23. communication

i want to communicate ml1400/compact logix L24ER to simatic s7200 via ethernet. Please help me with it i am new to it and dont know how to do it.
  24. Hi All, I'm new to using PLC, and my background is majorly programming. I am learning how to control a PLC over the internet using HTTP or TCP/IP. I have a Mitsubishi PLC Melsec FX-5U 32MR and my requirement is, I want to send create a setup where the PLC works more like a Client on the network and reads values from the server (which is a computer). The outputs on the PLC are controlled by the values on the database in server.  So, lets assume I have a value like this on the server "1,0,0,1,0,1", it should translate like below: Y0 = 1 Y1 = 0 Y2 = 0 Y3 = 1 Y4 = 0 Y5 = 1 Is there any guidance where I can read through and learn how to do this. I would prefer doing it by ST programming and not Ladder.
  25. Hi , we have Fx3U-128MT and a Hybrid Stepping Motor 2 Phase (17HS4401).   Do we need to install  FX3U-2HSY-ADP to control the stepping motor or we can program it no problem using  PLC User's Manual - Positioning Control Edition? Do we need  a Driver?
