  1. Problem with Stepper Drive

PLC : Mitsubishi FX5UJ-60MT/ES Stepper Drive : TROY TR22-2   My problem is, When I Jog it, the Motor will have noise and vibrate(Example at video). I already ask my supplier and they test with their kit, my supplier says suspect the speed may not enough faster, so will have this noise. But when I use PLC to trigger it, still have the same problem. Even I increase the speed, the motor still rotates the same as the video.   i changed PLC to Omron  CP2E PLC, don't have this kind of issue.    Please help me,Thank you WhatsApp Video 2023-05-25 at 12.53.32.mp4
  2. Motion Control Help

Hi Guys, I may need some help on how to program the stepper motors by using  FX5UJ PLC. This is my first time using it, not too familiar with Mitsubishi PLC. Anyone can share me sample program for reference? I have no clue what command needs to use. I only have experience in Omron Sysmac Studio programming servo using Ethercat. Other than that I can say I'm a new guy in PLC.   Thank you very much for helping me.
  3. hello everyone, I using stepper 17HS2408, microstep driver, modul motion QD75D2, PLC QD3UDV,, i've been trying to use program Absolute in axis 2. When I trigger the command to run absolute program the current value is running but the stepper motor still not moving, is there any suggestion about this?
  4. Anyone know what could be missing to be able to import this stepper motor to sysmac? This is one of the supplied xml files for the stepper motor.     FASTECH_Ezi-SERVO2_EtherCAT - OMRON.xml
  5. I searched FX5 manuals and it appears that with the high speed inputs I can run a stepper motor without a motor controller. I have little experience setting up a new system with any motor but have made changes with servo issues. I sent a request for info from my supplier but I still have some questions/requests.   1. Can an FX5U control stepper motors without a motor controller? 2. If not then what Q/R series setup is required 3. Are there any document to help understand? (program examples are welcome)   Main objective is to run a sensor head to 3 or 4 specific points using a belt driven linear actuator with a nema motor.
  6. HSPsO

I am using fatek FBs 32MN PLC. i need to run the nema stepper motor synchronized with induction motor's speed with some ratio. in my case the speed of stepper motor will change as the speed of induction motor changes its speed, may be many times in a second. Problem is that the speed of stepper will be constant as before until i have to disable and then enable again HSPSO function. is there any solution that i can dynamically change the speed of stepper without disable and enable HSPSO function ?
  7. PLC Panasonic FP0R Motion Control

Hi, I am using FP0R C32T, i use FPWIN GR to make plc program using jog operation instructions F172. I used the program exactly like manual, but still got error code 45? Did anyone know about this thing?
  8. Hello guys, I am very new at this. I am trying to make a Schneider PLC (TM251MESE) to send some serial commands (485)  to a integrated stepper motor from Automation Direct (STR-MTRD-17030RE, but I am lost. The driver has been program to receive the SCL commands. But not quite sure how to send those from the plc. Im using SoMachine V 4.2 Have any of you done anything similar? Any example will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks
  9. stepper motor position control

Hello, I need to have a cx-programmer code which I can control my linear actuator position by setting 3 positions with timer, I am using a CP1L pro'skit
  10. can anybody Know how to control stepper motor using PLC
  11. In One of my machine we using one stepper drive thatCTA2H328M-MB model made by Centrust Motors China running without pulse input.Direction and  Enable input only connected. My problem is motor running in low speed since drive is 2.89 Amps and motor is 4.2 Amps so its not supporting.I want change drive capacity but i couldn't found a drive with same concept.I couldn't able to reach the chinese vendor.I have tried many drives which is in my stock all are enable input used for enable/Disable the drive.I am bit confuced. http://www.centrust-motor.com/?c=msg&id=2337 Kindly help what type of drive is this? Which model will suitable for my requirement?
  12. Dear Friends, I am doing a pick and place project using stepper motor.programmed movement by PLS2 command and motion are running fine.I want to program origin for the stepper axis. Please help. i don't know how to origin with a home sensor input.I am using CP1E PLC and stepper driver DM860.
  13. I've been building a contraption with linear rails and stepper motors. It has an X, Y, and Z axis. I'm using Velocio PLCs to control the motors which seems to be work well so far. I understand these are not very common and my question are related to general motion control, not Velocio programming specifically. Since I'm new to PLCs, programming, and stepper motion I thought I'd ask for some input instead of trying to reinvent the wheel. I'm to the point in the build where I'll be adding emergency stop/limit switches and am wondering how to go about writing the program; if there's an "industry standard" way to go about it. I figure the PLC will check to see if any switch is active. If one is, drive the motor away from it till it's inactive and store the location. If one is not, drive the motor until a switch activates then back off a until it's inactive and store the location. Drive the motor to the other limit of the axis (the number of steps should be known) to activate the switch, back off and store location. Rinse and repeat for the other axes. Is my approach about right?
  14. Hello, I am Er. Nirav M. Madhvani Can you please me tell me about How Stepper Motor Controlling using Allen Bradley PLC Micro logix 1000 and also tell me about Which Instruction I can used in this topic and also tell me about how speed Vary and Pulse vary ?
  15. Hello I was searching the internet and I came up with this forum. Im excited to be part of it as a newbe I have a question on a micro 1100 with pto outputs to a stepper drive. The drive I'm using is anaheimautomation MBC25081TB - Stepper Drivers with DC Input. I was told that the sourcing output of the 1100 would work fine with the clock input on the drive. this is how I wired the drive and this is how the drive looks. Im not even sure what Im doing I have the plc set up and see it pulsing but for the life of me I can't get the drive to move. Can you please tell me the errors of my ways. Im very new to this and its killing me trying to get this running.
  16. We are currently using a SureStep STP-DRV-4850 stepper drive from Automation Direct with their bipolar STPMTR23079D Stepper motor rated at 1.1 ohm, 2.8 amp per phase and 1.8 degree per step. The setup is a 24 volt rotary encoder 600 PPR AB quad that is turned 1 revolution per 6” of measured travel of the machine. We have a large “clock” dial that shows 24” of travel that the stepper motor directly turns. It has been programmed for 9600 pulse per revolution AB quadrature following and seems to follow the movement quite well. The issue that we having is several times a day the power is shut off to the machine and the stepper upon startup moves to the closest full step which looks to be about 3/8”. We need to save its location or at least keep the dial close to its current mircostep if possible. Do I have something set-up wrong? Should I be using a different drive? Thanks in advance!
