  1. Hi all Thanks to everyone that's helped me so far, I'm learning as I go and my program is looking good, however I'm looking for suggestions on how to create a countdown timer (like a job completion timer) or a job progress percentage. Again any ideas are much appreciated.
  2. Add Delay to to the Analogue out

Hi all,    I have an FB (ST) which will calculate the UINT values that need to send to DA outputs. Currently i was requested to add a delay between the calculated output & DA units. I am not sure how to do it? can I just use a TON? Any sample ST code?
  3. Is there any instruction in Sysmac Studio Structure text to detect rising Edge (DIFU/DIFD) ?
  4. Dear all, Do you have some ready examples for Mitsubishi fx5u where you use PID ? I use two analog input from 0-10V and two PLC output and I want to head 2 heaters. So how can I use PID autotuning? As I see in examples in manual, there also have other parameters, which I must set, except PID function. Thanks in advance . :)
  5. Hello Everyone, I am looking for sample program which are compatible with Mitsubishi Gx Works 3. Program should contain some timers, counters, arithmetic, data conversation so i can see the instructions of each and every basic blocks... I am using iQ-F FX5U Plc with GXWorks3 Environment.
  6. Hello!  I'm learning how to use mitsubishi MELSEC fx5u-32mr-es and an hmi panel mitsubishi electric got2000 model GT2104-PMBD. I have no trouble programming the PLC and also I managed to display a layout on the hmi but I ran into trouble with: How to connect the PLC and hmi directly via ethernet. I tried to connect them but the hmi says there is a comm error.  How to run a simulation using gt simulator. I made a program in gx works 3 and a design in gt designer 3, started to simulate but it says that the PLC type of the project is different from setting gt simulator 3. I checked the gt designer there I selected the PLC model FX, which as the only logical choice and in gx works I use the correct PLC/CPU (fx5u) so I'm kinda in a blind spot.  I hope someone out there can help me troubleshoot this problem since i need it in order to compete on a national level.  Best Regards.
  7. Calling a Timer in ST code.

Dear all, In a state machine I have certain states which need to have a timer to handle timeout errors, that is, if the FSM remains too long in a certain state without getting the conditions to transition to another one, it will produce an error. My current code is using a TOF with an input variable that will be triggered upon entering the state, I call the function block, and then turn the signal off so it starts counting: TRIG_STOP_TIMEOUT := TRUE; TTO_GLOBAL_CYCLE_STOP(IN:= TRIG_STOP_TIMEOUT ,PT:= T#15s ,Q=> ERR_GLOBAL_STOP_TIMEOUT ,ET=> CLK_GLOBAL_CYCLE_STOP ); // TOF TRIG_STOP_TIMEOUT := FALSE; For some reason, the counter does not work. I don't know if I should trigger the signal on in one scan and off on the next. I thought about using the system 1s clock as a trigger (SM412) but the description of the TOF function block states whenever the input is ON, the output will be true, and the timer will only start counting once the input is low. The other thing I thought about was to use the TOF_E instead, with the clock as a trigger, and just set the enable signal when I'm in the state, but I'm not sure it'd work correctly, either. Any suggestions?
  8. Hi, I am new to this community. My intention is detect trigger action at D6 and D7 (using PLS and PLF one scan feature).  I am here to ask how to reset the data bits in Data Registers, e.g., D6 and D7, as shown in Expected.pdf. My PLC ladder diagram is shown in Ladder Diagram.pdf.   Best Regards, sengkai   PLC Flinken v8.25 extreme D6&D7 stay at 1 after it is triggered.pdf Ladder Diagram.pdf

  10. Sample blocks for S7 1200 plc's

Hi experts, please share the sample blocks for the EDITABLE TIMER block it should be editable from HMI(Siemens). And also motor run hour block. Actually i am having all blocks in tia v12 version and sadly i dont have the old software to convert it again. So please share the blocks that it shoud be work in TIA V14 for s7 1200 plc's. Please note that the blocks should use add instructions to calculate the time because i don't have much memory.
  11. Hi, I can’t find an answer to the following and I was advised to ask it here.I’m programming an Omron CJ2M with an MD212 high speed I/O card. I usually do all my programming in Structured text, simply because I like it a lot over ladder or sft. Now, if I want to read the hight speed counter (incremental encoder), I have to make a ladder section and use the PRV instruction to store the present value in a chosen location. The manual says the current PV is stored in A271, but I can’t get a readout there. Apparently the only way to read it is through this instruction.Does anyone know if there is an equivalent to the PRV instruction for Structured text? or another way perhaps? Again, when I check the actual memory adress, there’s no value there withouth the use of the PRV instr.
  12. Q03UDVCPU

I am new with PLC's and I am learning how to work with GX Works 2. I have two questions, 1st Question: Using a Q series PLC (Q03UDVCPU) Is it possible to convert the language of a project from ladder logic to structured text? 2nd Question: If I read a project from a PLC why is it always ladder logic? Is there any way to read out structured text?
  13. Hi,   I'm pretty new to allen Bradley and wanted to know if there was a function that could help me out. I have a rotation sensor which feeds back to the PLC via a digital input, once every half second or second once machine is up to speed - I want to record the off time of this DI (how long it is off between pulses, essentially how long it takes for drum to rotate once). Is there some way to record this time and use this value for compare logic? any help would be greatly appreciated.   PLC: Micrologix 1400 series B RSLogix 500 version 11.00.00 (CPR 9)
  14. Reinstall GXWorks3

Hi All i have tried to reinstall GXWorks 3 but i keep getting a message thats says other product needs to be uninstalled first.(as Attached) i have unistalled everything to do with Mitsubishi, GX developer, MR configurator, even went it the servers and deleted evrything there. Gone into program and programs(X86) deleted everything there as well.        Any advice
  15. Hallo.  Can someone shed some light on how much memory st takes ? does it use more that traditional ladder? i find that a routine with a couple of thousands of lines uses over 500kB is there any tricks to lower the usage? Or is it just what it is, and buy bigger cpu’s
  16. Sorry first up for what may seem like a simple post / question, however I am pulling my hair out with reading the programming manual and have had no help from Mitsubishi's PLC technical support team.   I have a Mitsubishi Alpha 2 (AL2-10MR-A) that I am using to count the starts of a jacking pump via input one. The intention is to have output one operate when the jacking pump start count reaches 5 within a 24 hour period. When the 24 hour period has expired, the count will reset to zero. The count will also reset to zero when a manual keypad key is pressed. I have been able to figure out the counting and reset via the keypad no bother, however, including the 24 hour clock reset is proving difficult. Has anyone had any experience with adding the 24 clock function at all, and can offer advice or examples? This is being programmed directly via the keypad.   TIA
  17. Good day, how can I send string data by buil-in ethernet. Maybe word 'TRIGGER,?
  18. MC_Power_LD_FX5SSC Power Up Error

I am using FX5U-32MT/DS, FX5-40SSC-S and the PLC Open blocks. I am getting an Power-up procedure error status signal. Any suggestions on how to track this down? Or should I do away with block and replace it with Un\G# codes. If so what should I use to make sure the drives are ready?

  20. Good day, I need help, how I read data from Balluff BVS001C Identification over ethernet? Thx a lot
  21. Hi, I'm new to both structured text and Modicon. I'm having trouble compiling this tiny procedure, meant to scale a number to an integer when the operator changes it. Although I can set the page edit variable to @localparameters.iLTemp_SPt1 with no problems, I can't get this function to compile as either a local or global procedure. What am I doing wrong?
  22. Time Input from NB Screen CP1L-E

Hi guys,     I am trying to make a controller for an oven using MODBUS with a CP1L and an NB screen. My oven program will have 10 stages in one baking cycle, and the parameters for each stage can be modified individually (temperature, blower speed and time). I have set my number input in the NB screen to be a unsigned int of 2 integers and 2 decimals, and it writes to H4 in plc H memory. I move this value from H4 to W4 in the PLC, and input W4 into a timer (T0000). I have tried data manipulation and still have no success in getting this to work properly. My CP1L timer is set to BCD mode, as I am using premade MODBUS function blocks which are programmed with timers in BCD mode. Does anyone have any pointers regarding this? In the screenshot provided, the number i inputed in the HMI was 60.00.
  23. Good day, I am new in mitsubishi and have a question about how build built in ethernet communication on fx5u fw 1.050 gx3 1.047 with smc ex260 sen1, where i need send 2 bytes and receive 4 bytes can u help me? I try to send data with this format 2#0000000100000001 and send by Ethernet Active Tcp connection library where I have added the external device configuration ip and port SMC EX260 SEN1, I think I needed use a CIP protocol and port 44818 or Ethernet/ip, maybe I need add a ENET module to use this communication between my devices? Thanks a lot for answers
  24. Hello, Completely new to Mitsubishi PLCs and I need to use a date and time stamp for data collection purposes. We have a Siemens PLC as well and this has the data type "Date_And_Time" which is what I need to replicate. I have been attempting to write my own data type but am struggling with how to go about this as it is not straightforward and I cannot find anything about how the Siemens Date_And_Time is made up so I have nothing to go off. Does anyone have an example of a data type they have made that is the same? Or is there a data type which does this already in GX Works 2 that I just can't seem to find?  Please help!
