  1. PAROCK1 for HMI/SCADA View File Now a software solution is available for your Modbus (MB) needs in Rockwell/Allen-Bradley Control Logix or Compact Logix (Clgx) family processors, instead of a traditional 3rd party hardware like Prosoft MVI-56, Molex SST-SR4-CLX-RLL etc.  It is an Add-on instruction (AOI) for PLC/PAC firmware v16 or later, (other solutions are available for pre v16 systems).  For hardware interface, use PLC’s channel 0 (serial) or TCP/IP Interface module(s) to have as many MB TCP/IP devices or serial devices.  (Some limits apply based on system configurations, Comm. settings depending on HW used.) Connect any MB Client/Master or Server/Slave device(s) to your CLgx PLC, including flow computers, analyzers, VFDs, Power Monitors, Level gauges, Smart I/O, etc.  All the MB public/native function codes are supported.  32-Bit integers/floats as single entity are supported with byte and word level swapping. A separate utility automates the data mapping to your PLC logic.  Features -Serial Master (BASIC required Option); TCP; Slave; Redundancy; More than 5000 accumulative registers; MB CFC (Custom/Private Function Code) Support; Data mapping too – Between PAROCK1 & your PLC logic; Packaged with Rockwell; TCP/IP Interface Module; Volume Discounts; Annual Support Requirements -Rockwell/AB-CLgx processor with v16 or later.  Contact PCI for earlier versions. -If using CPU’s Chan0, you cannot use Chan0 for any other user mode activity. You can use it for non-user mode activities -TCP/IP Interface Modules from Rockwell/AB supported, are: -1756-EN2xx ControlLogix® Ethernet/IP communication modules, firmware revision 5.007 or later -1756-EWEB ControlLogix Ethernet/IP web server module, firmware revision 4.006 or later -1768-EWEB CompactLogix Ethernet/IP web server module, firmware revision 1.002 or later -1769-L30ER, 1769-L30ERM, 1769-L30ER-NSE, 1769-L33ER, 1769-L33ERM, and 1769-L36ERM CompactLogix controllers, firmware revision 20.011 or later -1769-L24ER-QB1B, 1769-L24ER-QBFC1B, 1769-L27ERM-QBFC1B CompactLogix controllers, firmware revision 20.011 or later -1769-L16ER, 1769-L18ER, 1769-L18ERM CompactLogix controllers, firmware revision 20.011 or later Other Related Services/Items -Custom PLC Add-on instructions building -PLC upgrades, troubleshooting, applications -PC Windows, iOS5, Linux, Mobile devices Comm. 3. I am needing some help developing a string, and setting up communications that will be interpreted by a printer. I have thus developed my string, setup my com ports on my 1766 micrologix and setup com ports on my schmidt styliner scribing printer with win7e. Essentially this is plc to computer running software for a printer. the software has been setup to the best of my knowledge. My problem is creating a string that will be recognized as start/stop transmission at the printer. I have never done ascii so I am unfamiliar with how to get the two components talking. This is a simple application that only requires writing a string to the printer, but i have tried all that i can without any luck.
  4. I have a CP1L by Omron and a barcode reader by Honerwell. I want to activate the serial port 1, to connect it with the reader. The reader shoul read one of the 2 main barcodes. If the reader get the barcode 1, then it should read 3 times the barcode A and activate an output; but if it read the barcode 2, it should read 3 times the barcode B, and also activate an output. I want made my programm in ladder programation, How I can activate the serial port 1? How I set the the serial port 1 as an input to the function block RXDU? How works the FB RXDU? How I can set the codes? How I set the fb RXDU as an output?
  5. B&R PS465

I have a big problem to solve here We have an old PS 465 with four masters The PLC is driven by a linux operating system with a KDE graphical interface This machine was commisioned by an italian company about 15 years ago and recently it suffered a power outage Now its my job to reinstate this beautiful machine with no back up files from the linux program Now i am told i can get the back up files for the B&R PLC so my question is the following if I get the B&R PLC files does anyone have an idea how long it would take to produce a HMI from Automation studio How advanced is Automation Studio Can I generate an instant HMI from the ladder code Whats the best way to test Comms port Any help would be great

  8. I wish to send a temperature set-point from an Allen-Bradley SLC 5/05 (Ethernet) PLC to a water temperature controller and read back the actual value. [ PLC ]<---------->[ Temperature Controller ] The temperature controller RS485 comms supports protocols for moulding machines from Arburg, Battenfeld, Billion, Demag, Dr. Boy, Engel, Frech, Husky, KraussMaffei, Netstal, Sumitomo, Toyo and ‘Spezial’. They have given me the details for Engel’s Interface Protocol P2 which is 8-bit ASCII. Question: What's my best option for this? Buy a BASIC module? [ PLC ] [bASIC]<---serial------->[ Temperature Controller ] Use the serial programming port directly? [ PLC ]<---serial------->[ Temperature Controller ] Use an Ethernet message to some external programmable serial server? [ PLC ]<----Ethernet---->[serial Server]<---serial--->[ Temperature Controller ] I've modified and debugged A-B PLC code but I'm not very familiar with their hardware. Many thanks.
  9. Hi All, I have problem about programming serial module Mitsubishi PLC using QJ71C24N. 10. Motoman Support

I have a project that currently has a PC using C++ to send commands over to a Motoman Robot for palletizing. My customer wants to get rid of the PC since no one on the plant floor can troubleshoot if the PC goes down. They're asking that I put a PLC in in lieu of the PC, and control from there. The PLC and respective code is no problem, where I'm stuck is gathering info on what protocol I can use on the Motoman. My goal is to make the Motoman as "dumb" as possible and control everything from the PLC. Can anyone tell me what protocol I can use with the Motoman, details below: Robot Type: EPL80Controller Type: NX100Software Version: NS4.02 A(JP/US)-00
  11. I am trying to setup communication between an EIP21 and a AB Compactlogix processor. Setup both units with Network configurator and Logix5000. In Logix5000 I used the Generic Ethernet Module with the correct consumer and producer tags and instances. When I go online Logix can see the EIP and bring up the module information but the connection itself is in Error 16#0114 Electronic keying Error. Unfortunately cannot find a way to disable keying like possible on the Controllogix Ethernet module. Can Anyone help. An application example or some tips how to resolve it would be great. Kind Regards Rolf

Hello guys, actually I am new to this Omron PLC. but i have small project to transmit a command to the GSM modem via the RS232 port so it can trigger the modem to send text msg. Can you show me the steps/guide/sample program to accomplish this program coding? I already read some topic in this forum regarding to this PLC RS232 port but still cant get the ideas when to create the ladder program. PLC Type : CJ1H (CPU65H) - RS232 port First input to trigger the GSM send text msg: AT+CMGS="+YOUR HP NUMBER" Second input to trigger GSM send text msg: YOUR TEXT MSG CONTAINS (Ctrl+z to send) Many Thanks, AlexB
  13. ModbusRTUdemos.zip

    Version

    601 downloads

There are two Proficy ME projects in the zip file one for VersaMax and one setup for 90-30 CPU364 but is the same for all of the 90-30 processors, but read the Manual GFK-2220 to get the correct port information for your CPU and configuration. They are both working and well documented. They were done quite a while ago but I do not recall what version of PME is needed to open them. It is my recommendation that we all use the latest version. Good luck and have fun with it. R~ <))>(
