  1. Hi there, Im having issues controlling ATV 320 VSDs over Modbus RTU with a M221 plc, does anyone have any pointers for me to look at? I believe I Have set everything up correctly but when I run the program on the plc the atv's just stay in 'NST' state I have included screenshots if they are any use   My speed reference in this example is taken from the memory word %MW0 which I am inputting via a HMI   I have addressed all my ATVs accordingly in there setting with the correct Modbus parameters and selected Modbus under the FR1 configuration, am I missing anything?? Any help is appreciated as I am really struggling   Tom
  2. hello expert i want ask some help So i tried to communicate my Omron PLC (cj2m cpu31) with SCADA from Schneider (power logic) on my omron side the comunnication on PLC already take to communication to NB so i add communication module CJ1W-SCU41-v1 I want asking how to open the communication if i want the scada become a master and my plc become slave i got this from omron website is that program compete for my case? i need configuration for scu41 module also to communicate or if you have suggestion i really open i just need to open port RS232c from scu41 so scada can read the data from my plc  tahnkyou for your help MRTU_CPU_Slave.zip

  4. Hi everyone! I have a question to all of you guys - do you ever use any software or online tools to manage your automation/electrical engineering projects? I have worked in a number of companies and have seen various scenarios, from using excel tables to run multi-million dollar projects to using proprietary SW for every little tiny project. Unfortunately I do not have experience working for any major big integrator and am very curious how projects are managed at this level (and if every engineer likes the way it is handled).  Additional question - does anyone have ever used a software to automatically generate the PLC code? I know some companies develop products to generate the "skeleton" of PLC program and I think it is a great thing to have.
  5. Hello guys, I am very new at this. I am trying to make a Schneider PLC (TM251MESE) to send some serial commands (485)  to a integrated stepper motor from Automation Direct (STR-MTRD-17030RE, but I am lost. The driver has been program to receive the SCL commands. But not quite sure how to send those from the plc. Im using SoMachine V 4.2 Have any of you done anything similar? Any example will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks 
  6. I have been able to Jog the opposite direction from a Hardware OT with my 1S servos (using Sysmac Studio).  I reset the OT Fault and Job the opposite direction. What I am having trouble with now is, I have set Software Limits and I cannot Jog off like I can with the Hardware OT.  I have been told I should be able to do that, but it still does not work.  The fault returns immediately when I press the appropriate HMI Job button....which is the same HMI buttons and Logic used when I have the Hardware OT. Has anyone ran into this before?  It may be a setting I have not done right maybe?? Thanks,
  7. Hello, Do you know what is the difference between the PID controllers PIDFF, PID1 and PIDP1 in a Schneider PLC? I have to modify a PLC program with a new standard of coding. The new standard use a PIDFF function bloc. If I change a PID1 bloc for a PIDFF bloc, can I use the same parameters Kp, Ti, Td? If I change a PIDP1 for a PIDFF bloc, can I use the parameters Ki and Kd to calculating Ti (ti=1/Ki) and, Td (Td = Kd)? Thanks you for your help.
  8. Hello. I am trying to make a serial RS 232C connection between Schneider Magelis HMIGXU3512 and Omron PLC CP1E. However, there seems to be a communication problems between both of the equipment. I am using cable XBT Z9740 for the serial communication cable. The format used is 8.2.N for both equipment. The baud rate is 115200. No Flow Rate is choose. Anyone can help with this kind of problems?
  9. Hi, I've been having a problem with my Schneider setup, and I can't seem to figure out the problem. I'm using Machine Expert Logic Builder and Vijeo 6.2, and I can't seem to download to my PLC. I can download to my HMI just fine, but my HMI comes back with the message as mentioned in the title. Also when I perform a full download, machine expert comes up with the message "Could not connect to the device for item "xx", selected target system "PLC name" is different from the connected device "HMI name". The weirdest thing is that machine expert shows my PLC just fine, but doesn't show my HMI. I have no idea what to do, as I feel like I've tried everything. The IP range is fine, subnet is fine. The driver in IO manager in Vijeo has the PLC nodename in it, so that shouldn't be the problem either. Does anyone know what to do in a situation like this? Thank you in advance!
  10. i am trying to connect a gf+ flow sensor  through the signet 8550 meter loop for 4-20mA - i am unable to get  a reading from the sensor as i am connecting to tm3Ai8 input analog module.   please let me know how i can do this need for and urgency at a site.

  13. hello I have been forced to replace a TWDLMDA20DRT with a Schneider TM221ME16R. the plc is a slave but I am having trouble getting the Modbus data exchange to work like it did with the old plc. I have setup the serial port to use Modbus etc etc and I played about with the read_var FB but this wasn't required in the old plc so im confused as to why I would need to use it on the replacement. I have come across another FB send receive message but again i'm not too sure if this is required.  the master plc uses the msg2 and exch2 command. Hello everybody,   First, I used the BMX NOR 0200H module associated with a GSM modem, for the time stamp and the problem is at the level of data recovery (slave PLC), I received the value of the variable (it's OK), but instead of the modification date of the variable, I received the send date (from the master PLC to the slave PLC).   After this application, I tried to use Web Desinger to do the timestamp by recovering a .csv extension file, but the file does not generate in the memory card (I accessed the module's memory card by an FTP client).   At this stage, the BMX NOR 0200H module, does not respond to a new configuration or a modification (either by Web Designer software or by Web Server, even these last two confirms me by a dialog box that the module has accepted the change).     Thank you all for your attention.

  17. Hi, i am currently looking for a software that can open .gop-projects so i can look in the code and upgrade some panels at my current customers place. This software and GOP2000 are ancient and have not had any reply from ABB for several days about this. The GOPs here is starting to fail and we only got 1 spare that are in service almost 24/7.  
  18. I am trying to program an analogue output on a Siemens S7-1500 unit from a 4-20ma sourced analogue input scaled over 0-250 degrees. The analogue input will have an adjustable setting in the software for when the alarm status should occur and at this point I want the analogue alarm output to start to process at 4ma, at 5 degrees above the initial set point I want the analogue output value to be 20ma I have no idea how to do this so any help from people is greatly appreciated and advice on which analogue output card to use would be helpful.  
  19. Hello, Currently, I have Schneider PLC- LMC058 - LMC058LF42 which support Ethernet communication. I want to collect data from this PLC to Database "MySQL". In order to do this I have below options: ** I can use Kepware OPC to gather data, However, there are 2 issues am facing. ________[*] this PLC appears to be Telemecanique PLC instead of Schneider .. which is what I don't understand. ________[**] Kepware OPC doesn't support Schneider nor Telemecanique PLC ... that's what I found but not sure of it. ** I found Somachine SQL gateway which dumbs data to MySQL, however: ________[*] I can't find enough resources on how to use it. ________[**] It's asking for License, Is there a way to crack or bypass it? ________[***] Has anyone used Somachine SQL gateway to directly connect Schneider PLC to MySQL database. My preference is using OPC server as it's the easier way, Hope I can find support on any of these 2 directions! Thanks. AK

  22. Hi, I'm new to both structured text and Modicon. I'm having trouble compiling this tiny procedure, meant to scale a number to an integer when the operator changes it. Although I can set the page edit variable to @localparameters.iLTemp_SPt1 with no problems, I can't get this function to compile as either a local or global procedure. What am I doing wrong?

Hello,, I have motion controller A series A172SHCPUN,, I have written the program ladder into the CPU, but I can't write the motion program.. i dont have the program to open file the program motion and I want to ask if I have the software SW3RNC-GSVE, my os computer is window XP, Can it be installed? and is the cable transfer used the same as the ladder transfer program cable (SC09)?
