Hello guys! A would like to set up a new inverter for my existing machine. I wanna follow the recomandation about the safety wiring. The only problem is I need one more, Z safety output. I checked, there is official expansion unit, and it says I have to only connect the EA, EB, EG, and EP terminals ? Do I have to connect again the X0, COM0 ; X1, COM1 terminals, because I want actually the same inputs, just I need one more safety relay output. I attached picture about it, thanks ahead.

We have an older Nematron system we are working on and requires some software. The system uses DOS 6.22 and launches Screen Ware 2 software and the Reliance DCS V1.01 to talk to the Rockwell AutoMax PLC that uses the Programming Executive Version 4.2. We have the Nematron parallel port keys (dongle) needed and are looking for installation media for editing. We also need information on the executables that open the screen files the ULTRA MAIN MENU is not available to us. We are interested in viewing the config for upgrade so even software that is newer and capable of converting and reading the program is fine. Any help is appreciated!!

Hello, Good Day All. I am facing this issue while I am going to copy old plc to new plc. but old plc having 4965 steps, once going execute this program to new plc its showing more than 8000 steps. please suggest on this. PFA. -
Hello fellow tinkerers, Inside our company we're expanding our IoT network with the replacement of CJ1G-H to CJ2M CPU units. When swapping models we are downloading the Datamemories back into the CPU. Our engineer warned us to not download all the DM memories: only up to D20000, so I did. When starting we had some inputs that weren't showing in the Data trace: and noticed that it were pulses shorter than 8ms. We found out the "Unit settings" were back to default and this is not unusual since we only downloaded range D0-D20000 but I'd like to avoid this in the future and look up what each datamemory means. I know D30000 to D31599 are the memories for the CPU bus unit settings (manual W473 section 4-5) but what range is the "unit settings" within these 1600 datamemories? I can't seem to find it in any manual I look into (W473, W472).. Also do you see any problems with downloading the full datamemory range? Kind regards!

I have an Ethernet/IP bus and system including Ethernet/IP devices with CPU 1756-L81ES ControlLogix. PLC is connected to the switch. Bus is built from the switch as a line. Can I connect the last device on the bus back to switch again? In thes case bus will be ring. Do I get problems with connection it this way. Switch is Stratix 2500, which is lightly managed switch. I believe it will increase the traffic in the bus. -
MY OMRON CJ1M CPU12 SHOWS UNIT NUMBER DUPLICATE ERROR. ERROR CODE IS 0X80E9. THE CPU HAS TWO NUMBER OF HIGH SPEED COUNTER IN A RACK SOME AND I/O UNITS. Hi All, I need some clarification on the PID instruction. The note states that if #9 is set for C+6 04-07, the I & D will be 0.1 to 819.1s. But I didn't understand this highlighted section. Does it mean that my I and D values will something between (1x τ)~(8191xτ)s?? All help is much appreciated, Stay safe and healthy. T J Sharon

Hello to all I have a mitsubishi electric plc Q-series (q02hcpu) with 2 Position card (qd75m4) for controlling 4 servo motor (mr-j2s-350b). I have a new problem with. PLC after working for a few minutes, The Error light on the CPU and position card turns on and the PLC STOP Working. Please help me fix the problem VID-20190806-WA0004.mp4

Cant call a STL written add-on instruction from an SFC main program

Hello folks, I am a rookie, self-training in PLC programming. I have written an SFC exercise (attached ACD file). I also try to call STL written subroutines and add-on instructions, from within the SFC main program. Calling the created subroutine works fine, but calling the add-on instruction fails from a reason which is above my level. I tried, tried and tried different solutions, with no avail. I am either wrong in writing the add-on (perhaps some missing but missing tag ?), or wrong is calling it. Can someone please give me a hint on what I do wrong ? Thank you, Radu PS . Hello all, i'm looking at installing a completely new network for our PLC system, using a ring topology. at the same time i would like to incorporate the IP cameras and VOIP into the same network. each system is on a different sub net, PLC = x.x.1.x, Cameras= x.x.2.x, VOIP= x.x.3.x estimated camera traffic will be 25 Mbps, PLC 10 Mbps, VOIP no more than 1 Mbps switches would be capable of 100 Mbps question: managed or un-managed switches? if it is possible to use un-managed without affecting operations then this would be a massive cost saving please only comment if you have practical experience implementing this many thanks Dan

Dear all Please identify me i am having one Issue in my PLC.When I changed the IP of my plc then suddenly its showing error ERH its mean IP address wrong but My CPU setting is same like previous means unit no=0, x16^0=0 ,Node=x16^0=1 and IP is 192.168.0.15 Mask add.255.255.255.0. but when I, transfer to PLC (in Program Mode) its not transferred(Failed to Transfer) please rectify me where I am doing wrong.

FR-DU04 (FR-A500) vs FR-DU04-1 (FR-V500). Programming unit differences. (A VSD question) What is the difference between these units? Why are they not interchangeable. (Other than the fact that the FR-DU04-1 is used for vector VSD applications, and the FR-DU04 is intended for standard induction motor applications. Is this a matter of firmware differences? -
Ring main unit switching devices have three position designs - closing- opening and earthing.. anyone know more about earthing ?

I have a problem when trying to download a program from a FX1S-30MT PLC. I am using a SC-09 USB cable. The software i am using is GX Developer 8. When trying to download the MAIN program the screen in the attachment appears. I tested the download from another PLC of same model and have no problems, therefore the cable is ok, and the laptop is ok. When downloading of the parameters and comments does not give error, just when trying to download MAIN. Also I tested connection with Test Connection button and says communication is ok. Anyone who can help? I have a doubt, how can i see the communication parameters on the PLC side? Thanks a lot

Good morning, I'm having an odd issue with CX Programmer and have hit a wall. I'm trying to upload a previous version of a program to an existing PLC (CS1G-H CPU42) and I keep getting the following error when I compile while online: "The read protection properties which are not supported by the connecting target PLC are set. Check the unit version of the PLC." This prevents the program from being uploaded. I have a first revision CS1, manufacture in 2005 from what I can tell. This exact program has been uploaded previously, but a modified version replaced it recently and I need to go back to the older version. Things I have tried so far. without success: - Removed UM Protection - Made sure Task protection is off for all tasks - Check DIP Switch #1, which is write protection, and made sure it is off - Used "Remove Password" and "Release access" functions from the PLC/Protection menu - Used the auto-verification to confirm the configured PLC is correct - Reuploaded a full backup of H & D memory, from the older program I am able to compile the program when offline, but it chokes when online. I am connecting to the PLC via a serial cable. I haven't found any help from the CX Programmer help, or the CS1 programming and operation manual. This error message is nowhere to be found. Anyone has a clue ? I'm at a loss right now. Thank you !
