  1. Hello i'm new in all things about plc, i do a project for school and i use a festo fc 34 plc. The plc is programmed via serial port RS232 my pc not support a serial interface and i use a RS232 to usb adapter. when a try to download the program to plc give me a error: "ERROR: Cannot access controller".  What i do wrong.  Thank you in advance and sorry for my English. I have an error message during install GX developer software in my computer "Assign the folder to the network drive or copy from the network to the hard disk when installing the folder from the network (assign the folder shallow hierarchy)" my operating system is win 7 ultimate 32 bit while same program installed successfully with another computer.  
  4. Looking for Socket TCP/IP communications program examples for Mitsubishi PLC iQ-R R04CPU using GX Works3, to compliment the Mitsubishi Ethernet manual Socket commands instructions. Unfortunately, the manual is missing real application ladder logic illustration examples of these commands. For example, the Socket Open Connection command, does not describe in what order or format to enter the IP Address.   For example, to enter IP Address 192.168.1.100, does the most significant octet 192 is entered or stored first in the lowest memory storage register (Big Endian format) or does the least significant octet 100 is entered or stored first in the lowest memory storage register (Little Endian format)? I am trying to write a simple Socket TCP/IP communications command that will write about four registers from an existing Mitsubishi PLC R04CPU (Socket Client) to an Allen Bradley PLC ControlLogix (Socket Server). .
  5. I'm using Controllogix L61 redundancy system as a slave with DCS using ethernet tcp/ip socket programming. The communication between master and slave will fail after a switchover. Kindly give solution for this. Thanks and regards, Rasu

    Hello, I am working with e5cc-t programs, for heating application. I need to find a way, to start program, when temperature reaches set-point of first (no. 0) segment. I think that, there should be some kind of setting, but i cant found it.. I've done this with PLC, but this is not an solution for this application. in conclusion: After program starts, it has to reach set point temp, and then hold temperature for certain time.  
  7. Hi! I'm trying to download program to an e1001 but get errormessage "Unable to connect to Panel". After erasing the applikationprogram in the panel everything works fine. I can connect and download the program. Anyone knows why I couldn't connect or if I could have done differently? Is there some kind of program lock?   BR Asp

  14. Im having some trouble with a PLC and looking for a some help. Whats happening is output number 3 is stuck on. I thought maybe it was just the PLC. I pulled the program tried it on a new PLC with no luck. I checked for faults and the handheld shows no major faults. The output that is stuck on is for a door, its telling it that the door is open. Any help would be great.

    Hi everyone, I need some help with my PLC programming. I am currently using a twincat 2 software and a Beckhoff CX 8090. Basically, the gist of my program is to send and receive data and datalog the input data received from the sensors and timestamp the received data for every 1 second. I want to create a boot up counter where it will count the number of times my data logging program has restarted(if it did). This boot up counter serves as a health monitoring check to ensure that my program is running perfectly and thus, not restarting randomly when it shouldn't. I am more familiar with structured text so if you have a solution, kindly post it in structured text form. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Best regards, DeadPool

  17. I am in the learning phase of HMI and PLC programing and am trying to use some of the hardware that has been donated to me. I have an AB panelview 300 micro terminal and a Micrologix 1000 Plc (they are not tethered yet). I have constructed a small test board with everything mounted to it and have successfully written and downloaded a simple project to the plc with timers, etc.   Now I need to find a way to program the terminal to make changes to the program.   I am looking for some free panelbuilder 32 or anything that will allow me to program the terminal and use it.   Can anyone help me? All help will be greatly appreciated!

  19. I have read that it is possible, in CXDesigner, to download the program from the computer onto a memory card, and then download from the memory card into the HMI terminal. Is a similar thing possible with CXProgrammer, and PLCs? It would be quite useful, for the purposes of updating the program on a customer PLC that is located overseas, when the customer does not own a laptop with CXProgrammer installed.

    I need help with a program I wrote for school that didn't work quite right.  I have to make a chasing light program that will freeze the lights when a PB is engaged and reverse when PB is engaged on light 1.  The assignment has already been turned in but our instructor ( if you want to call him that) has told us a similar sequence will be on the final.  Can anyone help me out??

    Dear Sir, I need to update the PLC program offline with online, so I tried to compare the program blocks but I got the error that The comparison of the two blocks in STL showed that codes are identical.
