  1. Hi, I have an old TSX 47 30 that has an I / O fault (red led on) green led on run and plc stopped. I'm writing to see if you can help me to establish communication and achieve the download of the program. I do not have the communication cable or the PL7-3 software under OS 2. So far I have done searches on the schneider page, forums and all the links are lost or deactivated. I have read your answers in plc of the same series and I observe that a converter rs 232 to current loop is needed. In this case here in Venezuela it is difficult to get this converter, however I have observed the black box model 232 CL-E, CL050A and I think it can be useful. I also have an old toshiba laptop with windows xp with a native rs 232 port to avoid another converter and I could make the connection cable DB25-DB9 to the PLC. Now I would miss the procedure to make an OS / 2 bios and get the software or make a virtual machine in which case I require the appropriate software .. thanks for your help
  2. Hi all, I am new here. I am also not very practical with PlC terminology. I never learnt any programming what so ever, only through, local dealer help and trial and error , have i managed to use the M810 and M820.  I Have installed quite a bit of them mostly M810. When i need to access for some kind of modification or diagnosis of the system, I have trouble with the passwords. I was thinking that maybe i have used different passwords or maybe a caps . Always managed to work around the problem as i could find the program on the pc and re load after a flash. However lately i saw that i had a password that i was sure about , i even had taken a photo before i stored it on the M810. However still it did not work. I don't know why this is happening. I have changed the laptop recently, but the local dealer told me it should not do such problems with the password. The concern is even worse because the latest M810 lets you know when giving it a password that it will be rendered useless without the correct password. So if this problem arises i would have to bin the controller.  Anyone had this problem before?   Thanks and be safe
  3. Hi everyone! I have a question to all of you guys - do you ever use any software or online tools to manage your automation/electrical engineering projects? I have worked in a number of companies and have seen various scenarios, from using excel tables to run multi-million dollar projects to using proprietary SW for every little tiny project. Unfortunately I do not have experience working for any major big integrator and am very curious how projects are managed at this level (and if every engineer likes the way it is handled).  Additional question - does anyone have ever used a software to automatically generate the PLC code? I know some companies develop products to generate the "skeleton" of PLC program and I think it is a great thing to have.
  4. I have been able to Jog the opposite direction from a Hardware OT with my 1S servos (using Sysmac Studio).  I reset the OT Fault and Job the opposite direction. What I am having trouble with now is, I have set Software Limits and I cannot Jog off like I can with the Hardware OT.  I have been told I should be able to do that, but it still does not work.  The fault returns immediately when I press the appropriate HMI Job button....which is the same HMI buttons and Logic used when I have the Hardware OT. Has anyone ran into this before?  It may be a setting I have not done right maybe?? Thanks,

    Good Evening everyone, I do realise that this has possibly been done before but quite a few years ago and the links no longer seem to work or links to Mitsi pages that are in Japanese, so please excuse me. I have soem A series PLC kit that needs replacing and I have bought all new Q series stuff to replace(where possible). I have been languishing a little on this project now for a few months but need to get moving. I purchased a GOT HMI and got a good deal on the HMI and the complete Mitsubishi Software Suite the local Mitsi guru said that was all I needed to get the job done. But afetr delving into what came inthe box it seems I need a A - Q Conversion Support Tool https://www.mitsubishielectric.com/fa/products/cnt/plca/pmerit/renewal/case/support_tool.html However I cannot find the software on any of the DVD's that I have and I cannot seem to find a download. So I am stuck now. Can anyone help point me in the right directon? Any Help greatly appreceiated. Thanks in advance.

  8. FX3U Stop Reading Channel Data

    Hello Everyone,  Need help with reading channel data of FX2N-4AD with FX3U Cpu. I have added all the logic and it works also. Problem is that, FROM function stop reading/fetching data from FX2N-4AD after some time i.e couple of hours and value just hang. Like 502 or something, untill you reset the whole PLC. What could be the problem. For the further info, -I have connected the FX2N-4AD on the right of fX3U-64M. -There are two extension blocks FX2N-16EX and FX2N-16EYR also added to the right of FX3U-64M -Order of mounting....FX3U-64M > FX2N-16EX > FX2N-16EYR > FX2N-4AD > FX2N-4AD   I have tried using the 2nd special module connected at the end, but It showed similar problem after few hours of running. THis shows that both Special blocks fx2n-4ad are okay. There is something wrong with PLC maybe? Please help

    Hi,  Anyone can help how to program a analog coming from a level transmitter? I have 8 analog inputs (2 unit of FX3U-4AD) to be read out into the plc program. how can this be possible.   10. Hi, i am currently looking for a software that can open .gop-projects so i can look in the code and upgrade some panels at my current customers place. This software and GOP2000 are ancient and have not had any reply from ABB for several days about this. The GOPs here is starting to fail and we only got 1 spare that are in service almost 24/7.  
  11. I am trying to program an analogue output on a Siemens S7-1500 unit from a 4-20ma sourced analogue input scaled over 0-250 degrees. The analogue input will have an adjustable setting in the software for when the alarm status should occur and at this point I want the analogue alarm output to start to process at 4ma, at 5 degrees above the initial set point I want the analogue output value to be 20ma I have no idea how to do this so any help from people is greatly appreciated and advice on which analogue output card to use would be helpful.

    Hello all   I have OMRON PLC CP1E-E10DR-A.  I installed CX programmer , where I unable to connect the PLC.Driver successfully installed. In the software , i unbale to connect, there is no option for choosing E10DR, Th software has option of choosing E20 and above. Can anybody help in this?   Thanks

    Hello all, I have a problem with PLC at work. I am working on historical code with a view to upgrading it for a roll out program to all site based PLCs. The code is to be downloaded using memory cassettes, and there is data on the PLC's which needs to be retained. I have re-worked the code and it performs as I would expect as per the following: 1) I download original code (V2.01) to PLC using CX1 2) The PLC simulates a cycle and various values are stored (the key variables are Installation Date and Service Due date). 3) I then download my code to the PLC and the variables have been retained. All so good so far.   The problem is that the factory production line uses PLC code saved using the PLC Backup Tool. When I download the original code to the PLC using this tool, I encounter various issues, but the main one is to do with real time PLC clock values. When I download the code direct from CX one developer,  I use the MOVD(083) instruction on A352 through four to give me a variable with the date, month and year. This morning (29/01/2019) the BCD values read as 41, 1 and 25, which translates to 29 (0010 1001), 1 and 19 (0001 1001). When I download the backed up code using the PLC  Backup tool, the values are totally different. I have run the backup files for both codes through a comparison program and there are no differences between them at all....... Can any one advise if they have experienced this before??   Thanks.
  24. First time using Connected Components Workbench and am modifying an existing program,  does anyone know why and how the original IO_EM_DI_ numbers have been changed and not just the alias'. When I right click and select properties for each tag it gives the address and says 'Read only cell' generated by the I/O wiring tool indicating the I/O channel to which the variable is wired' Any help would be great thanks!
  25. Hello.. I have hmi Proface GP-4301TW, USB type B cable and ethernet cable. I want to transfer the program to the hmi but I cant. When I turn on the power of hmi,  a series of test appears and finally it looks like the photo below and I cant enter the offline menu.. can anybody help me to solve the problem?
