  1. Good day  I require some assistance with the configuration setup (GX Works 3) for FX5u PLC inter-communication (PLC to PLC), over Ethernet (using the built-in Ethernet port). The purpose of the inter-connection is data exchange. (Values stored within the PLC storage registers such as words and bits).  Does anyone perhaps support files on this such as a procedure or example? Thanks
  2. I have Omron CP1H PLC with Ethernet Option Board Installed on Slot 1. I want To communicate PLC to SCADA software through Kepserver OPC. But I am Not ABle to communicate with PLC on Kepserver OPC. Anyone Know Solution For This? Architecture is attached for more details.
  3. In general, this control PLC program is written in GX Works. I did a simple visualization on TIA Portal v14 (WinCC RT Advanced) and I would like to now test it on Mitsubishi FX3U driver with ENET Module. I do not have much experience in this kind of thing, I'm still learning. I know that someone previously made a visualization in LabView and downloaded the tags from the PLC using NI OPC Server. Someone also did visualization in iFix and also downloaded tags through server opc. I do not know just how or what program to download tags in PLC so that I can no longer use it in visualization in TIA Portal. Unfortunately I still have a connection problem. The driver is connected to the router. From the connection options with RT Advanced I chose in the connections tab Mitsubishi and entered the appropriate IP. Still nothing. I do not know if the lack of a connection can be related to a virtual machine (VM Vare Workstation 12) on which I have TIA Portal installed. The driver pings but can not connect. I also tried using KEPServer EX to connect and unfortunately also failed. (I have information about the can not connect). Anyone know what program I should use? or had contact with such a problem?     I need to connect cx-simulator to Exor JMobile runtime, this runtime have ETH fins protocol to communicate with Omron PLCs. And with real PLC it's works. But I need to test programms with cx-simulator. And here I have problem. Googling and reading cx-simulator's documentation said me, that I need FinsGateway application. But it's old software. And Omron said that new is cx-compolet. But I can't find nor Finsgateway nor Cx-compolet. Does anyone have this programms? Or mayby knows how to connect cx-simulator with my Runtime.

  6. Good afternoon fellow members,I once again ask for your help to know if any of you have struggled with similar issues. For the past year and a half, Every 1-2 months we seem to be losing communication with one of our PLC's/racks. We have in the rack a 1756-EN2T card (revision 3.006) that will flash as if it is communicating and status OK (green LED), yet we will be unable to ping it and our operator interfaces go into error. We could also not open the web browser page of the EN2T card, nor connect to the PLC/rack through RSLogix5000. As this happened over the weekend, the local electrician was called and he tried cycling power to the rack and there was no change after it came back on (not sure how long he left power off to the rack though). The problem seemed to be fixed after we told him to pull the EN2T card out of its slot and then re-insert it.We verified the CIP cinnections for this card and it is around 98 to 101 CIP connections out of a max of 248, so not too high. the card's CPU usage is 24-29%, so no indication of problems there. EN2T Card is set to auto-negociate, just like all the other cards we use at all of our plants. Has anyone ever experienced a similar problem?Thank you in advance for all your help and knowledge-sharing!
  7. CONVERT FROM CQM1H TO CJ2M

    Hi there, I would like to ask you regarding the conversion PLC. Usually, it is not a surprise for us to get the errors occurring for the PLC conversion especially if both PLCs are not in the same compatible programming software. What I mean, currently, we have a lot of older version of PLC such as C20, C40H, C60H etc and these version needed to be converted to the newer version. However, lately we have problem converting the CQM1H to CJ2M, whereas both PLCs using the same programming software, CX-ONE software (ver 9.6). Most of the errors are displayed like this: ERROR: Step at rung 161 (6, 1) - SBN not defined - 4 There are 4 errors are listed referring to the same type of errors, that is the SBN not defined.  Is there anyone here ever experienced this? And why is it these two PLCs also got problem for converting? Thanks all.

Hello, attached below is what i have attached above is what i have done so far for the ladder logic when controlling a pump stroke but i cant seem to get it to work  Im using an OMRON CP1LE-EL with CX programmer i use an analog extension board and its only capable for 1 analog device which is my pump  is there something wrong with my ladder logic? pls help    sorry if its lacking in information i'm new to this so just go ahead and ask me what u need to help me out

    Hello.  I have a D word number 0-990. I would like to convert it to 990-0. So i need a function which shows me 0, when the D100 is 990, and shows me 0 when the D100=990. And of course for the between values also. Calculating continiusly. Help is much appreciated :)

  12. Hello, I am hoping I can get some assistance configuring an Allen Bradley PanelView C600 (2711C-T6C). All a long I have been able to communicate with the HMI using Ethernet protocol, but after I switched communication settings to what my Professor recommended by using the Panelview software, the Ethernet connection seems to have stopped working. The HMI has now been reset to the factory settings (by pressing ctrl + shift during start up then selecting F1 when prompt appears asking if the user desires to return to factory condition of terminal). Once the terminal resets I am able to eventually get to the configuration screen. When in the communication settings Protocol says "*", Status says "Unavailable", I've changed the device name to "plc" and the Node Address says "0". When I click on the "Ethernet" option the IP mode says "DHCP" then the IP Address, Mask and Gateway all read "0.0.0.0". I get into CMD/DOS PROMPT on my laptop while the terminal is connected to my laptop via an Ethernet cable and type in "ipconfig" to see if my laptop is communicating with the terminal but it is not. The lights where the terminals are located are also not blinking. After plugging in several different Ethernet chords from the terminal to my laptop I am convinced the issue is not the cable. I've tried resetting the terminal several times as well and I'm having no luck. Can anyone assist me with regaining Ethernet communication with the terminal or some work-arounds? I see there is an option to use the USB but it looks like AB no longer provides the drivers on the website. If it helps, the manuals I am using are 2711C-UM001 and 2711C-QS001.
  13. I have the Ultra 5000 Intelligent Positioning Drive for lifting purpose. Now currently the only way i am able to go online with the drive is through the Serial Communication cable (db9) and till the time i am online with the drive the movement of the lifting operation has to be put on hold.  So is the anyway possible to go online with the ultra5000 drive on the wireless network?  need some suggestion on accessing the drive parameters over wireless network instead of conventional serial communication cable. Thanks

Please I need a little help with a CQM1 plc and a DA021 because I need to control a sysdrive 3G3EV with the DA021, i dont know exactly how configure too 4-20ma and what address send the data to be converted to Analog output, i see something about APR function but I dont see any practical example. In the application i have to change the speed of a motor from a hmi, I sink on a variable in the range from 0-100 and convert this too bdc and then send to the DA.

The application consists of   3 parts : - TCP_IP_connection.apk - works on the smartphone and is intended for control and      monitoring of equipments; - Server_Send_Receive.exe - the management server located  on the computer and   execution  action on the transfer of  information from the smartphone to the   controller and   back; - Server_controller.exe - located on the  same computer and execution tasks   of  controller. Communication is linked directly with the controller via Ethernet or     Ethernet/IP. As the controller for management purposesused controller family   OMRON (CS1,CJ1,CJ2,CP1H,CP1L...). Note. As a controller you can use the other type of controllers, for example, Yaskawa, Siemens, ABB and  other. They require rework program Server_controller.exe only to  interface of exchange with controller. So for Yaskawa controller family 2300Siec this interface already developed and used in industrial conditions. 2. The application includes the following controls: A. Smartphone – computer - controller. - modes  read/write of memory cells and  bits of the controller OMRON      (DM,W,EM,CIO,HR); - continuous cyclic polling of the memory areas; - the formation of Alarms in the event of errors of control system; - Display Gauges for 6 variables in real time; - Display Scopes for 6 variables in real time; - formation of statistical data on the operation of the equipment.     Hello everyone. In my project I have to communicate Omron CJ2M-CPU34 PLC with TRANE chiller via Modbus RTU protocol. Unfortunately, I never use this protocol and I have no idea where should I start. I'm looking for examples and advices. If someone has experience in this topic please help me.   17. Hello, We have this SCADA system Vijeo Citect 7.2 running in Windows 7. Primarily used as generator's alarm history & monitoring. PLC: OMRON C200HG All communications are good but DIGITAL data (alarms, bustie) from OMRON is not updating in real-time. (Need to restart the Vijeo Citect to make it work).  While BCD & LONGBCD datatypes (voltage, speed current) are working good and showing real-time *OFSVIJEO: INT datatypes are also working good. Starting to find my way around Cx-One, running a CJ2M-CPU33, logic runs a rotary indexing-table destacker weldcell.  I am trying to figure out a way to prevent changing the value stored in UDINT TOTAL_PART_COUNT D31 when I upload a revision. The D31 increment line is section Main_Operation:40 It is a cumulative count of all parts run to date, so there is no conceivable reason I am ever going to want the TOTAL COUNT saved in an old revision to overwrite the current value.   The cell runs all day every day, so for a revision I'll open the last *.cxp file, connect to PLC, compare PC to PLC, if same I'll "Save", disconnect, make changes, save .cxp as new Rev#, and upload. When I upload a new revision, I usually (but it seems not always)  overwrite the value stored in UDINT TOTAL_PART_COUNT D31 on the PLC (which of course is bigger than whats in the newer revision since the machine has been running). Usually I remember to write down the TOTAL_PART_COUNT in the PLC before I upload and just manually change it after uploading the new Rev, but when I forget to and realize a week later, I get to have a lot of fun reading paper production logs. Is there a way to protect certain memory-areas like TOTAL_COUNT from being over-written by a Revision upload? Maybe I need to use a different memory area or instruction set? Next revision is going to be adding data-logging of faults, I'd like to create 2 arrays per fault, one for fault timestamp and one for # of minutes before the fault was cleared, and I'd certainly wouldn't want those arrays over-written with older values when I upload future revisions. Are the EM Memory Area values implicitly protected from overwrite? PS. The 13.15 "Trash Bit" contact everywhere  is from the integrator, not me, I have at least figured out the P_Off flag AS-260 IL100 LASER PARTSTCK REV23 2.27.17.cxp
  19. Hi everyone, recently we got a complain about UM password protection in the CP1L. So our user intended to apply password to a CP1L PLC which doesn't have battery installed. They were testing to turning off the PLC for about a week. In the 8th day, they turned it on again and tried to upload the program from the PLC. But after they input the password, and error shows up which indicates whether the password is wrong, or already inputted wrong 5 times in a row. Further checking shows that A99.12 memory was turned on which indicates that wrong password has been inputted 5 times. This was not the actual case since we make sure no one was using the PLC in those 7 days. A99.12 by its nature is not a non-retain memory. Is it possible that during Power On, the memory is unstable that it turned On by itself? I know it can be the case on some areas like DM / WR and also the RTC memory. And since A99.12 is a Read-Only memory, we cannot use P_First_Cycle to ensure it's turned Off as what we used to do with A500.12 (Inhibit Output). Currently I'm testing it by myself, for 3 days had left the PLC Powered Off. If anyone had inputs about this please advice. Thank you
  20. Hello,  I am a newbie to the Omron world. We have a new machine come in made on Omron PLC, we are trying to get it connected to our OPC server so that the server can read and write tags via ther Ethernet/IP protocol. We have given out ethernet card 10.14.9.187 IP and the NJ501-1300 controller is on 192.168.250.1. But still our OPC server cannot see the tags/variables. I dunno if we have to add the ethernet communication card to the network configurator and add the tag sets ?  We are also getting a tag resolution error on sysmac studio while being online.    Thanks Pratik

  22. Hello,               So i am trying to use real numbers input from an Omron screen and compare them with a bank of numbers to enable a bit like a password. We currently use Mitsubishi and we have a memory bank we can store numbers and when a code is input on a screen the plc compares it to the entire bank with in the range we set. is there an easy way to do this other than putting a compare for every password we need?

  24. Connect SCU31 and NS5

    Hi everyone. I have a problem with adding SCU31 to my existing omron PLC CJ2M. I already modified my CJ2M PLC in IO table. I also already program my NS5. But NS5 didn't communicate with SCU31 and SD1 and RD1 indocator didn't blink. Can anyone help me? Is there any step that I missed? Thank you.

HI  , I would like to ask you for your opinion    THIS IS MY PROBLEM WITH THE kinetix 6500  The equipment was working fine , but now i cant make to servo move with the program, cant run the test or autotuning    Status in front of servo drives say running. Everything is green, no errors,     when I activate the MSO  I can hear a click  at servodrive, but the servo is not energized, because i dont hear the usual noise when the servo is energized, I have check the cables and conectors, everythig is fines, I check the servo resistence , no shortcuts or open lines, The wierd part is when the servos are in the running state i can move by hand, they are supossed to be locked.     after that I activate the home MAH, or test or autotuning , or a direct command ,and then it  fails  When i try to jog . move, test or  autotuning  the servo it says s55 velocity error or excess positon error, i can not get servo to move at all I can see the position from the encoder back to the plc. I have turned the servo and i see the position at actualposition     Before the equipment was working , moving , I just swith it off one day, and the next day I couldnt make it move   Best regards    I have added the programm as an attachment k6500.ACD
