    Hello !  I have a problem. i'm new in tia portal and all siemens PLC. I woudl like to connect my Siemens s7-1200 CPU 1215DC/DC/DC and HMI KTP700 Basic PN to a SCADA system. Can someone give me some advice? Thank you in advance. i use tia portal v17
  2. I have set up a timer in exostructure expert basic and am trying to get the contdown value from the preset of 20 to show in vijeo designer but it tells me the %tm0.v is read only and cant find the variable in Vijeo designer to show it. Does anyone know how to do this?  
  3. I am attempting to download a Vijeo designer application to a remotely situated Magelis HMI over the cloud by means of a VPN. Vijeo designer's built-in help indicates that this is possible and has provided an example.  BTW, I am using Vijeo Designer basic v1.1 & the HMI model is GXU3512.   However, I find the fields for router IP and TCP port nos. all deactivated. How to get pass this roadblock? I'll appreciate any suggestions.   Thanks a million
  4. I'm working on a program where I manipulate REAL numbers in Sysmac studio using an NX1029020 PLC. My problem is I am new to automation and I don´t know how to display those numbers when connecting to an NB HMI. I´m trying to send the data to a bar picture and a number display. My question is which AT Specification Attribute should I assign to my variables in Sysmac Studio and their corresponding Area in NB-Designer? I tried using the DM area but it didn't show numbers on the displays, only shows *****. Should I convert my real variables in Sysmac first? Or how can I keep decimal numbers and then display them? My current configuration in Sysmac: Name Data type AT Network publish ST1 REAL %D5 Publish Only ST2 REAL %D3 Publish Only My current configuration in NB-Designer Bar Picture Addr.   8. Hi Guys I have some issues with profinet configuration Siemens step 7 v5.5 Fanuc robot profinet card cp1616 I have 8 byte safety 16 byte DI16 byte DOI setup DI and DO. No error.But I have  safety comm error 1.1 I put Cp1616 at slot 0safety at slot 1DI at slot 2 DO at slot 3So far slot 2, 3 are ok, (no mismatch ) But safety are no ok, F number is matching between robot and plc side Is there’s anyone can help me on this, I don’t know what I miss. It’s the first time I am configure profisafe for robot Thanks  
  9. Hi All, need some advice on a system to Alternate Starting of 2 pumps:  1. When StartP is pressed, Pump No.1 would start. 2. By pressing StopP, it will stop the running pump. 3. When StartP is depressed again, the Alternate Pump will kick in. Am looking at using: I0.1 - NO Push Button I0.2 - NC Push Button Q0.1 Pump 1 Q0.2 Pump 1 to set it up.. Any kind advice how may i set this up? Any advice will be deeply appreciated. TYIA!

I am new to automation systems and devices and I just want to know how to connect two HMI's (each one would control different things) to one PLC using Sysmac Studio and NB-Designer via Ethernet. The model of the PLC is NX1029020 and the HMI's are one NB10W-TW01B and an NB7W-TW01B. I searched for info about this topic online but I couldn't find anything that worked for me, I saw an article from OMRON where they connect two NB's to the CP series, but in my case, NB designer doesn't allow me to insert more than one HMI in the same project, I also found something similar on a youtube video that gave me an idea about how to connect multiple HMIs exporting the pks file and importing it to another HMI project but I still can´t figure out how to add both to my PLC. I would thank you a lot if you could help me with this because I know it's not a rare implementation, just I haven´t found the right way to do it.   20. Hello, I have to make communication using Ethernet between omron CP1H and siemens s7-1500 plc. I was thinking about Modbus TCP or Ethernet IP using theese adapters: Modbus TCP - CP1W-MODTCP61 Ethernet IP: CP1W-EIP61 But I am quite new in Omron, and I am looking for some exapmple codes, FB. Do you anyone have experience with that?   Thanks for all responses.

    Hi all, My system is using PLC S7-300. Now, it is being SF fault. I followed the manufacturer's sf error instructions. I replaced the CPU Module, but it is still fault. Diagnostic of Simatic announced I/O can't access for reading and writing. Please give a solution, thanks Sincerely.

Do I need sd card or usb memory stick to save recipe or I can save it in inside memory of hmi?  Can someone told me how to do it step by step cause I only have errors when I want to save or load recipe.  Thanks in advie
