I have successfully downloaded the HMI program into NB7W-TW00B, but there is no display on the HMI because the communication indicator which is connected by the RS232 cable doesn't light up.  I have verified the wiring and pinout of the RS232 communication cable. What else can be done to troubleshoot this issue?

Hello there,   I am using Schneider HMI for the past few years, it's very versatile and easy to design graphics.   Now i started using OMRON HMIs and found that is weird to draw graphics in Omron NB-Designer.   I have Example, Look at the attached screenshot of both software, in the case of Schneider if I stretch a button or any object it will remain in the same good shape. but in the case of Omron, if you stretch any object it doesn't remain in the original shape. (check the attached images.)   Please suggest Ideas about designing a good Omron Hmi, Sample backup is always welcome.   3. Hello everyone,  Someone know, how to read timer data from omron PLC CP1E in HMI NB3Q-TW00B? I tried write macros for HMI program, but I have some error about macro in program. How I understand, this HMI model don't support data reading from plc timer TIM in cx programmer? But how I can write macros and set it for recognizing in HMI?   

  4. NB DESIGNER Number Input

    Hello,  I done connect HMI NB7W series to PLC CP1E and just using input and output (0,0 and 100,00) and i can send data from weighing scale to PLC CP1E with RS232 communication. My Question is, if i want to send data from HMI NB7W to PLC CP1E but must input the new data first using number input in HMI NB7W, can i send a new data with RS232 communication (like send data from weighing scale to PLC CP1E)? so i can save the new data to memory in CP1E. I use NB Designer Software and CX Programmer software. If possible, can you tell me how to do it?  Thank you Riandanu
  5. I have a NB7W HMI connected to a CPIH over RS232. I'm connected to the HMI over USB and when I try to download my project, it starts the downloading GUI process and fails at a random time and shows a popup that says "data reading error". The HMI is locked up at this point and needs to be restarted. This is a fresh HMI and has not previously had a program on it. I created a blank project to make sure I didn't do anything weird in my program, but got the same result when I tried to download. Has anyone experienced something like this before? Its made it as far as 50%, and has also failed almost immediately.   Thanks in advance.

Hi.  I'm running a Windows 7, 64-bit machine.  I have NB Designer 1.4 installed.  when I plug in the nb7w-tw00b, it shows up as "MTP USB device", and that the driver install failed. so I opened Device manager and find the item, I right-click "MTP USB device", and "update drivers".  I click "Browse for my drivers" and navigate to "C:\programfiles (x86)\omron\nb-designer\driver".  I check "Include subfolders".  then click next.  it does not find the drivers.  says "MTP drivers are the best" So I try again: right click the "MTP USB device" but this time I click "browse for drivers", then "Let me pick from my device drivers...".  i navigate to C:\programfiles (x86)\omron\nb-designer\driver.  I select the bulksub.INF file, and i get this error: "The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device.  If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with WIndows for x64-based systems" NOTE: I just tried this on a Windows 7 32bit machine. same problem.  Except the message says "Make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x32-based systems"   Any thoughts to get this to work?

  9. NB7W-TW00B Print Error 7300-FFFB

    Good day lads, we encountered an error on a NByW-TW00B HMI, showing "Print Error 7300-FFFB". Checked already on the manual, which mentioned this : "Driver & UI Printer Settings Disable" (V106 manual, Section 7-9). What's worse is that NB manual doesn't give any workaround for any printer error. The NB is not connected to any printer. The "Enable Print" tickbox is unselected (checked both in the program and in the System Setup Screen). Also there is no button/macro which triggers any print function. Any of you have encountered this? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you
