  2. stepper motor position control

Hello, I need to have a cx-programmer code which I can control my linear actuator position by setting 3 positions with timer, I am using a CP1L pro'skit
  3. Hello Guys, i have an issue with my powerFlex40; it's getting the F081 sometimes after a start. I have 4 pf40 and they are almost configured the same way and this working like this for years. the 4 pf are wired in the same way that when an emergency stop is pushed they are all powered off(400V); after acknowledging the e-stop they all start normally but that one brings sometimes(not always) the F081: Comm Loss. I can even not reproduce the issue because it is not happening every time.  Any Ideas what it could be? the network cable of the pf goes to a switch (all the 4 pf are connected on that switch) and from the switch to a 1794-AENT Ethernet adapter.

  5. Sample blocks for S7 1200 plc's

Hi experts, please share the sample blocks for the EDITABLE TIMER block it should be editable from HMI(Siemens). And also motor run hour block. Actually i am having all blocks in tia v12 version and sadly i dont have the old software to convert it again. So please share the blocks that it shoud be work in TIA V14 for s7 1200 plc's. Please note that the blocks should use add instructions to calculate the time because i don't have much memory.
  6. PLC occasionally going out of Run mode?

Has anyone had an issue with Siemens plc's occasionally going out of run mode? I was doing some research and found that it could be due to a bad analog input. Is there a way to tell which input or output is causing this fault? I know I can create a hardware diagnostics error organization block but that only correct from what I've read.     Edit: I've added a screen shot of the diagnostics report. The fault that may be the problem is: Temporary CPU error: Serious firmware exception  CPU changes to DEFECTIVE mode (system reaction)  This plc / system was installed 2 year ago and we've had this problem occasionally since. I'm guessing the wrong firmware was used during the install. Will try upgrading firmware this weekend.
  7. Sorry first up for what may seem like a simple post / question, however I am pulling my hair out with reading the programming manual and have had no help from Mitsubishi's PLC technical support team.   I have a Mitsubishi Alpha 2 (AL2-10MR-A) that I am using to count the starts of a jacking pump via input one. The intention is to have output one operate when the jacking pump start count reaches 5 within a 24 hour period. When the 24 hour period has expired, the count will reset to zero. The count will also reset to zero when a manual keypad key is pressed. I have been able to figure out the counting and reset via the keypad no bother, however, including the 24 hour clock reset is proving difficult. Has anyone had any experience with adding the 24 clock function at all, and can offer advice or examples? This is being programmed directly via the keypad.   TIA
  8. can anybody Know how to control stepper motor using PLC
  9. Hi all. I have a Kinetix 350 and an AB TLY servo motor. I'm using the drive's STO function. AC power is supplied into the drive, passing through an "M1" contactor. It makes sense to m e to keep that contactor open, preventing AC power to the drive, until the drive is fully awake.  Is that what you guys do? Someone suggested to me in another forum ( http://www.plctalk.net/qanda/showthread.php?t=121021&highlight=drive+awake ) that there is no reason not to supply power to the drive right away because the STO function is inhibiting power to the motor anyway.
  10. Hey, I have a 1763 L16BBB...when I plug the 1762IF20F2 analog card in, I get a 0189h error code. Any help would be appreciated. Currently looking at doing a bootp on the plc to get online...no ip
  11. Hi All, I have an AB servo TLY-A110T and 2097-V31PR0-LM Kinetix 350 drive. I thought that it was fully configured and ready for tuning, but when I issue a MSO it immediately starts to spin the shaft (no load yet). This lasts about a second until a Physical Axis Fault, Excessive Velocity Error occurs. I've double and triple checked the feedback and power wiring, and everything looks right. Is there anything else I can check? What can I do to trouble shoot this if I can't even give an MSO? Any insight is greatly appreciated.
  12. Bonjour, Hello, I use a l33erm automaton and a Kinetix servo motor . This servo motor drives an engine with a chain moving in steps of 100 millimetres (there are 15 steps on the chain ) At each top of a cell this motor advances by 100 millimetre. in reality it advances from about 0 to about 100. Sometimes it is 100,002 times to 99,997 (this is important further) and when I give it a top it goes back to about 100 (100,003 times to 99,996) And so on and so forth up to no problem, I use a MAM with an absolute type of movement. It works.     However, this does not work any more after a rearmament following an emergency shutdown. if it is a 100,002 no problem at the next top the chain advances one step But when the engine is shut down at 99,997 and I give it the order to go to 100 it advances only by 0,003.  This only happens after an emergency stop (or door opening). Thank you for the help you can give me excuse my English this is a machine translation Un séjour sans faille
  13. Mitsibishi Q restart automatic

At one of our plants we have problem with Mitsibishi Q (Q26UDEH) The PLC reset automatically by itself for unknown reason. The failure of the PLC causes a disruption in our production process. I have make  a counter in the software for counting the first-scan system bit voor analysing. I have exchanged the CPU, power supply, and basic rack, but the plc keeps starting up automatically. Does anyone have suggestions for solving this problem.
  14. faulted processor

Hi I'm a bit new to Siemens, we;re an Allen Bradley plant...until now. we just got a brand new used press and it has a seimens controller on it. The press doesn't seem to have any manual functions so I as asked to move the cylinder, but I can't until I clear this fault. it won't do anything.  I'm told I'm working with an older processor, s7 300?I don't really know seimens that well.  I saved the diagnostics buffer as a text file and pasted it below. in case that helps solve my problem. I'm thinking it's just having trouble communicating with remote IO, but I'm not sure. I might be trying to communicate to a robot that used to be there that no longer is.  Diagnostic buffer of module CPU 314C-2 DP Order No./ Description            Component                         Version                        6ES7 314-6CH04-0AB0               Hardware                          5                              - - -                             Firmware                          V 3.3.11                       Boot Loader                       Firmware expansion                A 37.12.12                     Rack:                             0 Slot:                             2 Serial number: S Q-EDU050142014 Event 1 of 10:  Event ID 16# 2522 Area length error when reading Global DB, word access, Access address:    262 Requested OB: Programming error OB (OB121) Priority class:  1 Internal error, Incoming event 10:36:07.052 AM  04/17/2019 (Coding: 16# 2522  0179  0024  0106  0000  0000) Event 2 of 10:  Event ID 16# 2522 Area length error when reading Global DB, word access, Access address:    260 Requested OB: Programming error OB (OB121) Priority class:  1 Internal error, Incoming event 10:36:07.052 AM  04/17/2019 (Coding: 16# 2522  0179  0024  0104  0000  0000) Event 3 of 10:  Event ID 16# 2943 I/O access error, writing P area, word access, Access address:     40 Requested OB: I/O access error OB (OB122) Priority class:  1 External error, Incoming event 10:36:07.052 AM  04/17/2019 (Coding: 16# 2943  017A  0020  0028  0000  0000) Event 4 of 10:  Event ID 16# 2943 I/O access error, writing P area, word access, Access address:     36 Requested OB: I/O access error OB (OB122) Priority class:  1 External error, Incoming event 10:36:07.052 AM  04/17/2019 (Coding: 16# 2943  017A  0020  0024  0000  0000) Event 5 of 10:  Event ID 16# 2943 I/O access error, writing P area, word access, Access address:     38 Requested OB: I/O access error OB (OB122) Priority class:  1 External error, Incoming event 10:36:07.051 AM  04/17/2019 (Coding: 16# 2943  017A  0020  0026  0000  0000) Event 6 of 10:  Event ID 16# 2522 Area length error when reading Global DB, word access, Access address:    262 Requested OB: Programming error OB (OB121) Priority class:  1 Internal error, Incoming event 10:36:07.051 AM  04/17/2019 (Coding: 16# 2522  0179  0024  0106  0000  0000) Event 7 of 10:  Event ID 16# 2522 Area length error when reading Global DB, word access, Access address:    260 Requested OB: Programming error OB (OB121) Priority class:  1 Internal error, Incoming event 10:36:07.050 AM  04/17/2019 (Coding: 16# 2522  0179  0024  0104  0000  0000) Event 8 of 10:  Event ID 16# 2943 I/O access error, writing P area, word access, Access address:     40 Requested OB: I/O access error OB (OB122) Priority class:  1 External error, Incoming event 10:36:07.050 AM  04/17/2019 (Coding: 16# 2943  017A  0020  0028  0000  0000) Event 9 of 10:  Event ID 16# 2943 I/O access error, writing P area, word access, Access address:     36 Requested OB: I/O access error OB (OB122) Priority class:  1 External error, Incoming event 10:36:07.050 AM  04/17/2019 (Coding: 16# 2943  017A  0020  0024  0000  0000) Event 10 of 10:  Event ID 16# 2943 I/O access error, writing P area, word access, Access address:     38 Requested OB: I/O access error OB (OB122) Priority class:  1 External error, Incoming event 10:36:07.050 AM  04/17/2019 (Coding: 16# 2943  017A  0020  0026  0000  0000)

  16. Hi all, Does anybody have experienced problem with communication while connecting  32k and 16k plcs to same SCADA via factory talk linx?   Does anybody have got problem with communication while RSView32 and FTView were used simultaneously with same plcs in different pcs with different shortcut names?
  17. Hi, Can someone provide information about function and interpretation of each flashing or steady LEDs on MLC 1200. For example where to look for when Fault LED flashes during normal operation and so on. Thanks in anticipation that someone will help. Regards
  18. ZCP Instruction

Hi group! I am struggling to figure out what I am doing with the Limit instruction (ZCP 088).  I want to turn on a permissive if the compared word is between 1 and 12.  Rockwell makes this so much easier!!! It looks like my "=" instruction is not correct but this is how they show it in the manual???????
  19.   Hi all, Iam currently working with a migration project from Rsview32 to FTView. I was able to convert the RSView32 SCADA to FTView successfully. Current scenario is like RSView32 (which was the existing pcs) SCADA is running in two stand alone PCs and Iam trying to line up the new Factory talk view SCADA in another system.Communication is taken from same ethernet switch to which all ethernet cables from 5PLCs in the field are terminated and from which RSView32 scada has taken itz communication. PLCs used there are 2 No.of  1747 L532E slc 5/03 OS302 Ser c Frn 10 & later and 3 Nos of 1747 L533E slc 5/03 OS302 aer c Frn 10 & later. communication taken via net eni (1761 NetEni) Ftview installed system is Windows 10 pro OS) Issue is while RSView32 scada is working properly, Factory talk view is not getting neither online tags nor able to play display for those linked with L533E processor. But everything is fine with L532E processor. I just tried with downloading L533E program to L532E processor and everything was getting. So am i missing something or what should i do to get proper communication with L533E processor.   plz help..Iam a beginner in this field.
  20. Trying to figure out a fix to a processor issue, I have 2 1785-L40E processors a series E and F. Both when inserted into the rack and powered up go straight to a solid red BATT and PROC light as well as a Solid amber Force light, they both wont even attempt to start a boot up sequence. When connected through DH+ and ENET there is no visibility to either of these processors. These are refurbished processors.
  21. Dear Friends, I am doing a pick and place project using stepper motor.programmed movement by PLS2 command and motion are running fine.I want to program origin for the stepper axis. Please help. i don't know how to origin with a home sensor input.I am using CP1E PLC and stepper driver DM860.
  22. Hi Guys!   There is a task. I have a motor, and I can monitoring the actual speed. The question is how can I to determine the average speed, if I know just the actual speed. If the speed is zero, it must be ignored. So I have to measure when the motor moves. Anybody have any idea? How can I solve this problem. RSLogix 5000.  Thank you.
  23. I want to soft reset a CP1E PLC by program itself via external input device. is it possible?i want all the bit memory should reset.
  24. This is my first time to the forum and I am still very new to plc programming. I just had to move all of our software over to a new computer ( kind of new) it's running windows 7 pro. The same is as the computer before. Same computer name, same I'm, same file directory. However when I add tags in studio 5000 and reference them in the HMI, it says it is unresolved in route to the processor. It only does this for the new tags. I used the same shortcut and everything so I am at a complete loss here. What do I do.
