  1. I have a setup the contains the following components that are locally connected through an Ethernet switch: FX5U PLC ------------------------ IP: 192.168.10.10 GOT GS2107 -------------------- IP: 192.168.10.18 2x DAQ LabJack T7 pro ------ IP: 192.168.10.13     and      192.168.10.15 My laptop ------------------------- IP: 192.168.10.11 I am using the DAQs to be able to read many Analog signals. The DAQs working as servers, which the PLC is the client which are connected through Simple CPU Communication function in Gx Works3. The PLC is reading the holding registers in the DAQs at a specific timing rate (100ms default). I tested the communication and it is working good. Here is the problem: If the laptop is connected to the network during the communication, the communication is time out after a some time (few minutes up to like 30 minutes). I checked this through the Simple CPU Communication Diagnostics as shown in the photo. I don't know why this happening. I tried many things including: 1. Reduce the communication execution interval. Instead of 100ms, I changed it to be 200ms. -------- Still have the same issue. 2. I tried to avoid connecting the laptop to the Ethernet network by connecting the PLC through the GOT which has a USB port, and it is working without timeout. I mean I can program, monitor, and watch the PLC by the laptop through the USB connection to the GOT. However, I want to log some data using the CPU Module Configuration Tool software, which supports only Ethernet connection to the PLC. Also, I want to use the real time monitoring through the GX Logviewer software, which also supports Ethernet connection only. 3. I have setup the External Device configuration to have MELSOFT Connection module and two active connection module, but still have the same issue. Another annoying point is that I cannot detect the status of the connection. I have to keep watching the Simple CPU Communication diagnostics. Could you please help me to solve this issue. 2. Is it possible to connect an old Beijer E300 terminal to a Mitsubishi FX5U base unit via a serial interface (RS422 or RS485)? And which protocols do I need to select?
  3. CC-Link AD/DA IQ-R

Hello everyone, I am studying Mitsubishi R-Series PLC with GXwork3. I don't really understand communication using CC-Link. Below I have the module configuration that I use. My hope is that the Digital operation value of the AI module is stored at addresses D0-D32. and I sent AO to address D100-D132.  can someone guide me to give me an example of how to set parameters and create a program. thanks you
  4. Hi, has anyone tried to get a Mitsubishi iQ-R to communicate with the Keyence IV3 series cameras over Ethernet/IP?  There are videos about how to use the IV3 with Allen-Bradley (Rockwell) PLCs but Rockwell's implementation of EIP is completely different from Mitsubishi's implementation. I am using an existing system with the RJ71EIP91, I have the IV3 EDS file added to the Ethernet/IP Configuration Toll for RJ71EIP91 software, I know I need to add the IV3, set the IP address and connection number. But how do I access the data, and send the trigger for the IV3? The instruction videos for Allen-Bradley uses the I/O tree to create tags and pre-made AOI's to create the logic to do all of the communication work in the PLC code, which is a process that I am familiar with. However, none of that is relevant to the Mitsubishi PLCs.  I figure I have to use somethning like Uxx\Gxxxxxxx in my logic to access the data for the IV3 from the RJ71EIP91 module but not sure how to get that to and from the actual IV3. Does anyone have any ideas? (sorry my initial post was blank, accidentally prematurely posted).
  5. Hi all ,    I've a simple question. But it's a problem that makes my job difficult. How can i see full name of this labels. Without double-clicking or hovering the mouse cursor over it. I have to keep clicking while checking the program. This steals my time. And sometimes I can accidentally change it when I click...
  6. Pilz & FX5U communication

Hello, I am relatively new to gxworks and I am struggling to find any help online regarding communicating between a pilz and fx5u. I am trying to communicate between a pilz m b0 & m ES Eth to a FX5U PLC. I am not having any luck with them communicating with each other. On the ethernet configuration on GX works 3 I am getting a constant ‘connecting’ in the TCP status section. I have function blocks setup in the code. The ip address is correctly set on the pilz unit. The PLC and pilz are connected to each other with an ethernet switch, when I am connected to the switch from my laptop I can go online with them both at the same time. If you require anymore information please ask, I understand I am may be missing something. Any help would be very much appreciated

  9. R60DA8-G & R60DAI8 ISSUES

Hello all, We’ve been having some issues with Analogue Output cards (R60DA8-G and R60DAI8) on some projects we’ve been doing and wondered if you could help.   On one site where we are using the R60DAI8 we have the following issues: when a valve is failing on site (wired to the first analogue output channel) the ERR LED comes on for the disconnection detection error, should this error come on with a valve failure/instrument failure or should this be for physical disconnection only? Also, site are reporting that the other valves analogue outputs on the card stop working when this happens. We have had a response previously from Mitsubishi support suggesting that this shouldn’t happen (basically they pointed to noise), could be wiring or it could be caused by external noise. Would replacing the R60DAI8 with an R60DA8-G resolve this issue?   General issue for both R60DAI8 and R60A8-G: When the Disconnection Detection Error is no longer present the ERR LED is still on so we have had to issue a reset to the “Error clear request” bit of the card (YF) to clear the error (currently a manual action from the HMI). Is there a way that this can auto clear when the detection error is no longer active? The only other way we can see to make this clear automatically is if the card has an error we could periodically issue the “Error clear request”, is there any issue with doing this if there’s no way to set the card to auto reset? The R60DA8-G has a detection auto-clear enable/disable setting but only has 100 times and from the manual this suggests a 100ms period between resets, so does that mean it only checks to auto-clear for 10 seconds the ERR LED is on and requires the “Error clear request”?   Any help with this matter would be much appreciated.
  10. OS SECURITY ISSUE

HELP! I have been tasked with setting the security levels on this GOT 1000 HMI on GT Designer 3, i have come into a problem and this error message keeps appearing: "Delete OS from GOT since authentication does not work if OS for Operator Authentication is installed". I have recently with success set the password levels on a new HMI GOT 2000 and was able to create a log in and log out switch within the program so i understand the procedure.  Please see the picture below and i will appreciate any information.     Matt R
  11. Hi everyone , I need your help !!! I am currently working on a project where I have to control a stepper motor (oriental motor AZD CEP) with a proface HMI. To do this I use implicit Ethernet IP messaging. The problem is this: when I change screens, I lose the connection between the two devices. After 20-30 seconds, the connection is reestablished. I've already spent two days on it and I can't figure out where the problem is coming from. Does anyone have any idea what's wrong? If you need additional information or screenshots to understand, let me know. Thank you in advance for your help.
  12. Hi all , I have been using MELSEC - Q series plc for the past two project i dont find any issue with that but for the third project  used same PLC same model but there is issue which I found unable to resolve  The issue is when i try to communicate PLC using LAN cable by direct ethernet connection it works normally but by communicating using HUB network I cannot communicate, I checked all the parameters setting, I dont know what is the issue even contacted mitshubshi service to troubleshoot but they are not responding  So here i am for your guidence to solve this issue   see the images below to analyse this issue This connection is direct ethernet connection which works normally    The parameters are set and writed to PLC The IP is set to my PC for communication  When i try to find the cpu in the network it shows the cpu IP  After that I checked for connection Test it show error I have also attached the Network route which i used to communicate  Network Drawing.pdf I hope someone will help me to solve this issue Thank you , madhan ravichandran

  14. Hi there! I've been looking for some fault codes table for the 1734-AENTR adapters, since I'd like to show a message in HMI with some information when there is a faulty adapter, but I haven't found anything on the internet. So my question is, is there any type of table like this for these adapters? Right now I have a PLC with some AENTR adapters in the program for testing, and since there is actually no adapter connected to it, I can see a 16#2024 error in the module properties, but can't seem to find that info in the module variables.   Do you guys have any clue on how to find this information in order to show it?   Thanks in advance!
  15. Positioning and speed control

Hello Guys. Is it possible to use an fr-a840 to use in the same time positioning control and also in speed control mode ? In the moment the vfd is in speed control mode. But now i also have to need to stop the conveyor in certain position. It will be a new feature. If its not possible, do i need a hsc ?  The speed of the conveyor is 20 m/min and the accuracy should be within 3 mm.  Could anybody help me with this.  Thanks ahead.

  17. Good afternoon, I've done a bit of research in regards to running a Zebra printer via ethernet from an Omron PLC but there's not much info out there. Has anyone had much success printing barcodes to a Zebra printer from PLC via ethernet? I'm using an Omron NA5 (HMI) which I've designed to displays 12 different buttons indicating different barcodes, but I'm unsure how to link these buttons to the specific barcode files that I've created in Zebra Designer.. Would anyone know how I might be able to accomplish this?
  18. Memory Data in FX3S

Greetings Can someone tell me about a memory that saves the data even when the machine is turn off? I need one for a speed pulse for a driver and all the memorys that I used where not saving the data. The PLC is an FX3S-MT32
  19. Hi All, I am working on a project using and NJ101 to communicate via CIP Ethernet to a PC based vision system. The vendor that makes the vision software has previously only worked with Allan Bradley PLC's and only knows how to setup communication using the Generic Ethernet Bridge. From what I can see this Generic Ethernet Bridge is essentially a generic EDS file that you are adding some parameters to (Input Instance, Output Instance, Configuration Instance) and it takes care of the setup. Is there any way to do this with Omron Sysmac Studio or Network Configurator? I have had some success CIPOpen, CIPSend, CIPClose function blocks but it is pretty clunky, I would prefer to have something more cyclic running in the background more like a standard Ethernet IP device.

  21. Hello, I was wondering if it would be possible to get a click PLC to communicate with a Fanuc robot over ethernet/IP when the robot has the ethernet/IP adapter package.  I am a little new to this, but I am worried that I might have to have a scanner / master in order to be able to communicate over ethernet/IP.  Thanks in advance for the assistance.
  22. QD77MS4

Hi My system : plc Q03ud , simple motion module : QD77MS4 , software : Gx works2 , Application : rotary table and unit degree I send position and speed from HMI ( got 2000 ) , my problem is that when i want send 90 degree for position ( dmov d0 u0\g2006 ) , i have to enter the 9000000 from hmi . and for speed i have similar problem Position hmi ( 9000000 ) ===>> motor rotate 90 degree  Speed hmi (100000) ==>> motor rotate with 100 degree per min
  23. Hello, In GX Works2, what do asterisks before function block input and output variable names mean? Thanks,
  24. Hi everyone,  First of all, thank you all for the help so far. We are coming to the end of the project I've been working on and the help of this forum has been incredible! We want to have pseudoposition control with a FR A 800 E Series VFD, a Beijer PLC XP 340 and an incremental encoder (0-4096) in the motor. We are using this for a telescope, and one motor revolution corresponds to the telescope moving by 0.5 degrees. The idea would be to change the speed according to the position of the mount. We can read any parameter from the VFD into the PLC (including the encoder pulse), but I cannot get my head around how to be able to determine, at every time, the position of the mount in degrees. We can read the encoder, but this will inform us of where the mount is in a range of 0-0.5 degrees.  Does anyone have an idea on how to do this? It would be great if the VFD had something that allowed us to keep counting encoder counts until we had a full revolution of the telescope mount, but I cannot find a way of having this. Thanks!
  25. FX5 PWM Y0 OUTPUT

Hello everybody peeps, Todays challenge is to get this PWM going on Y0. I know that we can do this 2 ways. I am wanting to do it via Parameters and the HIOEN function. but despite following the PWM guide I cannot get it going on simulation, Y0 is not turning on at all. I have set parameters as per attached, and did the same code is on the guide, but still nothing.   the code in the guide goes in error at the moment. Let me know your thoughts.   Many thanks.
