  1. Does anyone know how to change the reading on Omron servo motor reading from negative to positive? The encoder is reading negative values when it is moving in the forward direction.  I am using 1S servo on NX1P2 controller on Sysmac studio software.  Please suggest.

    Hai, I have problem with my CP1W TS001, suddenly reading result always #7FFE.  i use CP1E-N60 and 2 expansion module, AD041 and TS001. I put TS001 after AD041 then my program code as follows : mov #8051 105 mov 7 D20 mov 8 D22 the reasult at D20 & D22 always #7FFE could someone help me to solve this problem?
  3. Hi All, I have a tiny Chinese controller all in one with 2 line text display. The documentation is not proper. GX Developer supports to program the devise. The devise is compatible to FX2N(C). Have any one in the forum used this type? I am not able to read its analog inputs AD0 and AD1 channels since I do not know which instruction I should use. I tries RD3A instruction but the PLC does not start. I attach a picture of the devise.   5. Hey Guys, Hope you are doing well!  Need all your experience support, to recover my existing project. As I'm at power plant project, we had PLC system with Vijeo Citect 7.3 licensed. As I'm newbie into this automation, doing my best to complete the project. AS I need you support to get resolved my project and my query. Query 1)Unable to get meter reading through plc to scada. Query 2)PLC gets and err blink and its not communicating as two plc available, one working perfect and other gives err blink after reset. Kindly help me out

  9. i am trying to communication my weintek HMI with Siemens Energy Meter PAC3200. I am using MODBUS TCP/IP Protocol but i am unable to read the data register of my energy meter. Somehow i got to read the 32bit data register but still unable to read the 64bit data register of my total KWHr Energy consumption. I have also attached the manual of my energy meter. Please guide how to read all the data registers of that energy meter. Please see the page 40 onwards for reference. Please could you assist with the software required to download data tables from 4 off DIRIS A10 Multifunction Meters into TM221CE40R Logic Controller via TMC2SL1 Comms Cartridge using Modbus Protocol over RS485. I have downloaded the Modbus tables from Socomec but not sure how to get these into the PLC. I would really appreciate your help in achieving this. I am using EcoStruxure Machine Expert - Basic to program the PLC & DAQ Factory Developer Release for my Touchscreen.   11. FX3U Stop Reading Channel Data

    Hello Everyone,  Need help with reading channel data of FX2N-4AD with FX3U Cpu. I have added all the logic and it works also. Problem is that, FROM function stop reading/fetching data from FX2N-4AD after some time i.e couple of hours and value just hang. Like 502 or something, untill you reset the whole PLC. What could be the problem. For the further info, -I have connected the FX2N-4AD on the right of fX3U-64M. -There are two extension blocks FX2N-16EX and FX2N-16EYR also added to the right of FX3U-64M -Order of mounting....FX3U-64M > FX2N-16EX > FX2N-16EYR > FX2N-4AD > FX2N-4AD   I have tried using the 2nd special module connected at the end, but It showed similar problem after few hours of running. THis shows that both Special blocks fx2n-4ad are okay. There is something wrong with PLC maybe? Please help

    Hi,  Anyone can help how to program a analog coming from a level transmitter? I have 8 analog inputs (2 unit of FX3U-4AD) to be read out into the plc program. how can this be possible. Hello, -I'm considering using an AB 1734-IB8 to count input pulses from a Micro Motion flow meter transmitter and, since I'm very new to this stuff, would like a little guidance as to how/if this can be done.       My first concern is the wiring. The manual for the transmitter shows this wiring diagram for the specific model I'm using.       Here, B would represent the 1734-IB8 module. I'm not going to be using the analog loop. In addition to this wiring, terminals 9 & 10 on the transmitter will be wired to the same 24V and Common as my PLC modules.        The 1734-IB8 manual shows this diagram for wiring.       Should I consider the pulse output of the transmitter as a 3-wire device, connect terminal 3 of the transmitter to my 1734-IB8 input terminal and disregard the connection from terminal 4 of the transmitter, or should I just tie terminal 4 to my common? Or, Should I consider my pulse output as a 2-wire device, tie terminal 3 of the transmitter to my 24V and terminal 4 to my input module? My guess is the pulse output should be considered a 3-wire device with terminal 4 of the transmitter tied to my common, but I'd like a little bit of explanation with this. -My second main concern has to do with the capability of the 1734-IB8 module to read pulses. More specifically, I would like to know what parameters of the module I need to research to see if it will be possible to read the pulses from my transmitter in the application I'm considering. If the 1734-IB8 can't be used, I would end up going to a high-speed counter card.   Thanks

Please assist me with the following; regarding the ME96SSHA-MB Power meter data transition with Melsec-Q series PLC; We acquire to read various values on dedicated Modbus storage address registers at the simultaneous into a Melsec-Q series PLC via Modbus (TCP or RTU)  for calculation purposes. Naturally, since the reading of these variables are to provide accurate instantaneous results, it is a requirement that these values are to be read at one scan.   However, as can be seen below, there is a gap in address register range – of which, if all of these are scanned simultaneously, yields an exception error when read. This error is only avoided by scanning these data sets separately – which is not ideal for our application – since accuracy in calculations is imperative.

  16. CP1L connected with scanner symbol DS-4308 reading 2D data matrix,  with RS-232 on board CP1W-CIF01 Hi all, need some help because I can't read the information. Let me explain, I have a PLC, " CP1L-L14DR-D " with a RS-232 option borad " CP1W-CIF01 " , a scanner Symbol DS-4308, and I'm trying to read a data matrix 2d barcode (I don't know if that matters). so I build a cable with the next configuration, (one side male and the other female) PORT CONFIG PIN OUT SCANNER CABLE RJ-50 TO RS-232 PINOUT Maybe I'm missing a connection? a bridge? power supply ? ground?   in the program, I only have this to check the communication,       When my reception flag complete (A392.06), my instruction RXD is going to execcute, reading in D1500 the data. if is any error in communication (A392.04) or overflow (A392.07), my port is going to restart (A526.00) (ignore w0.03) with the followign config: (9600, 7,2,E, RS-232C, End code: Received Bytes 3       and I'm reading only, data on D1500 and D1501, and the data makes no sense.   with the configuration of End Code: CR, LF,          can't make it work, I read nothing. and if I change the END CODE: Received bytes to 4,      don't work. and my flag A392.04 go to ON.   PLC HAS 4 PIN SWITCH, ALL ARE OFF The configuration on the scanner is setting to default and then config to RS-232 Standard.   So, what I'm missing?  bad connections? plc don't support? scanner config? program?      
  17. I have a "paddle wheel" style flow meter that I am trying to wire to my Micrologix 1400. It is a three wire device and there is a tag on it that says it can run at 6-36VDC. So, naturally, I thought to wire this to one of the HSC inputs of the Micrologix directly. I hooked the ( + ) on the meter to 24V, ( - ) on the meter to common, signal to the oscilloscope, and ground on the scope went to common. I see a small 60Hz sine wave @ like 5mv when the wheel is not turning. When the wheel is turning I get a small square wave but in the same mV range. It is not a nice smooth square wave either its all jumbled up with the 60Hz sine wave.  I hooked this thing up to a transmitter and scoped the signal and ( - ) in parallel with the wheel - I get a nice smooth square wave signal when the wheel turns. It is only at 4.5V though. My questions are? Why does't the paddle wheel give me what I am expecting directly? Also, what is the voltage range on the pulse that a micrologix will see? I am assuming that it will not count a wave with a 4.8V amplitude.... Thanks for your help in advanced! neech   
  18. We have a contract to refurbish/upgrade a filling/bottling machine. We have the machine but not its control panel or PLC. We've built a new control panel based on the original drawings. We've changed the obsolete 1756-MVI/A serial comms modules to ProSoft MVI56E-MCM modules. These two comms modules are to talk to sixteen (16) Endress & Hauser Promass 63MT08-WOW00A9092B mass flow meters - each module talks to 8 of the 16 meters on separate RS-485 networks. My problem at the moment is that there seems to be no way of knowing the port configuration parameters (i.e. baud rate, data bits, stop bits, parity etc.) without having the original 1756-MVI modules. I should add that these meters are 'blind' with no built-in keypad or display for programming or querying the program. I've approached E&H in the hope that they would have a method of extracting the configuration from the meters but they are saying that the meters are so old that all their expertise and equipment for performing such a task is no longer around. I'm going to attempt to track down the original equipment manufacturer in the hope that they may have kept records. Other than connecting up to a meter and trying multiple combinations of settings in the hope that we hit on the right one, does anyone have any ideas on how we can make progress with this? Also, the meters use what appears to be E&H's proprietory Rackbus protocol. The original 1756-MVI modules could talk to them (presumably!). Any ideas if the new ProSoft modules will be able to?
  19. CP1E-N40 + CP1W-TS102

    Hi ! I have a question regarding the handling of the signal from the TS102 connected to my PLC.   I downloaded a .pdf  LINKED from "my omron", read it and put together a small program just to test the expansion unit and sensors. But I cant get any readings from the sensors and can't figure out why. I have never used a TS102 expansion unit before and would be glad if someone have an idea of what I'm doing wrong. Everything is brand new, so I'm quite sure I am the problem here..... If someone have an answer and maybe even an programming example to upload I would really appreciate it. I need to make a setup like the readings in the energy meter should be a GSM then from this GSM the data should be sent to another GSM using Twido PLC.,please help me how to establish this connection. (Energy meter ----+ Twido PLC----+GSM) data from this should go to another similar set up (GSM----+Twido PLC---+Energy Meter) I dont know is this possible or not please help me,,
  21. Hi Good Day, I need a suggestion, I have an omron encoder, encoder counter meter (K3NC-NB1A) and communication card RS-232C 25pins (K31-FLK1). My question is, what is the best omron software to read and manipulate the data from the encoder (I have CX-one software but I only use CX-programmer). I want to capture the encoder pulse and convert to velocity, acceleration, deceleration and also energy absorbtion. I have to use mathematical formula such as two times differentiation. I also need to show grapf and display final result that is energy absorbtion reading. Or is it much simple if I use VB / labview / java software? Thank you in advance

Dear All, I have a little problem in reading data from Power Meter to Vijeo Citect v6.0 I'm using Schneider PM810MG for Energy reading from Power Meter and for the SCADA I'm using Vijeo Citect v6.0. I can do some simple data reading like current, voltage and the others using variable tags from Vijeo Citect with Data type INT. But i dont know how to read the data for "Real Energy In" since the data range from 0 to 9,999,999,999,999,999. Waiting for all your help soon. Thx. Best Regards, Budiman Chandra
