  1. HI all,   I was trying to connect my compass with PLC via SCU32 RS485 (2 wire ) in protocol macros.[ Unit 1 port2]  My send command is   " 01 03 00 01 00 03 54 0B'  &  Expected reply is '01 03 06 XX XX YY YY ZZ ZZ ZZ ZZ" I created a new protocol using CX protocol and created  a send message & a receive message command  and added to sequence 000. (refer pics) Also added PMCR instrcution in cx programmer (refer pic). I can transmit the data , but i cant see any recieve data in D2000. I am not sure what had done wrong, or am i missing something?   Any help is much appreciated!! compass_macro2.psw Compass_TEST.cxp
  2. LOCAL MELSEC COMMAND

Hi everybody,  Is it possible to send MELSEC commands to oneself, locally, not using the phiysical ports? I would like to use some commands described in the "Communication_Protocol_Reference_Manual_(MELSEC)" to get some self-management functions in my PLC.  For example, in OMRON this is possible using CMND instruction and setting the FINS address to 0.0.0 in the parameters of the instruction. Thank you very much.
  3. Please could you assist with the software required to download data tables from 4 off DIRIS A10 Multifunction Meters into TM221CE40R Logic Controller via TMC2SL1 Comms Cartridge using Modbus Protocol over RS485. I have downloaded the Modbus tables from Socomec but not sure how to get these into the PLC. I would really appreciate your help in achieving this. I am using EcoStruxure Machine Expert - Basic to program the PLC & DAQ Factory Developer Release for my Touchscreen. Link to Socomec Modbus tables: https://www.socomec.com/files/live/sites/systemsite/files/SCP/6_gestion_energie/diris/diris_a10/DIRIS-A-10_COMMUNICATION-TABLE_2018-01_DCG01013_MULTI.html#General
  4. Commands Protocol

Hi all, I would like to ask you about the name and manual of the command protocol for PLC Siemens.  I am not asking about communication protocols, I am asking about the protocol of the commands to use some features of the PLC without TIA Portal. In a similar way, OMRON is using the protocols FINS and Hostlink, or Mitsubishi is using MELSEC commands. Thank you very much.
  5. Wonderware DASMTEthernet Driver

I have a client who is duplicating an existing Wonderware SCADA/MELSEC Q Series with a Wonderware 2014 R2 configuration, which they want to maintain that version.  The driver they use is the DASMTEthernet, which is no longer available from Wonderware.  I'm looking for any lead I can find to get hold of this driver, or a good solution to resolve the communications.
  6. Hello Everyone, I am studying the overview of the CIP Message Communications in Omron's "NJ/NX-series CPU Unit Built-in EtehrNEt/IP Port User's Manual"  but not all is clear for me. Could anyone suport me with the WireShark's capture of the PC <-> Omron NJ  CIP communication session  ? I'd like to see in 'real' world the CIP packets used to read/write of Omron's NJ Global variables.   Thanks in advance Zbyszek
  7. Device point error between Parameter and PLC

Hello all, I am a beginner with PLCs programming. I have an issue on GX Developer programming software from Melsoft trying to program my Mitsubishi Q-series PLC. CPU is Q03UDCPU. When the program is written and I try to upload it to the PLC, with the write to PLC window, I check -Program -- MAIN and -Prameter -- PLC/Network/Remote, click EXECUTE and a message appears : "Device point that is set in parameter is not match the device point in PLC". I can't fix it. In Parameter - PLC Parameter - Q parameter setting (window) - I/O assignment tab : I have (see image). Whe I use CHECK button it says there is no error. The X41 input device is plugged on slot 1/00. I am making this folowing the instructions a PDF I found on the Mitsubishi electric's wesite : Q-series basic course (for GX Developer). Thanks for the help, A. S.
  8. Here is a link to a thread on a recent post showing how to communicate serially to an Omron PLC using VB.Net. This uses the Omron Host Link serial protocols. (C-Mode Commands) It will read 10 DM registers and display them on the form.   http://accautomation.ca/implementing-the-omron-host-link-protocol-vb-net/ Here is the source program that can be downloaded. 9. Please assist me with the following; regarding the ME96SSHA-MB Power meter data transition with Melsec-Q series PLC; We acquire to read various values on dedicated Modbus storage address registers at the simultaneous into a Melsec-Q series PLC via Modbus (TCP or RTU)  for calculation purposes. Naturally, since the reading of these variables are to provide accurate instantaneous results, it is a requirement that these values are to be read at one scan.   However, as can be seen below, there is a gap in address register range – of which, if all of these are scanned simultaneously, yields an exception error when read. This error is only avoided by scanning these data sets separately – which is not ideal for our application – since accuracy in calculations is imperative.

  11. CX-Simulator

Hi guys, Do you have experience or know any good guides to set up a simulation case like this: - Simulating a PLC program such that the "PLC" is accessible on the Ethernet (for example just locally). - In addition, setting up the PLC settings with FINS protocol such that it is possible to write to the PLC with FINS protocol from another device. The first part is  most important. Best regards PC_VS_PLC
  12. Hi, I have a omron PLC in a FINS network. Should there be any problem connecting another PC to that network and ping the PLC?   I somehow don't get any response when I try to ping the PLC from a PC.   Best regards

  14. MES interface IT

Can I use just QJ71MES96 without the Q12DCCPU-V in MES interface? I am not sure if Q12DCCPU is still needed when monitoring only 1 PLC(Q03DVCPU) and sending data to a database.
  15. Is there a list of words, particularly d0000- dxxxx, used by got hmi that is not apparently found in gx works program but cannot be used since it will affect the hmi, like turn off hmi screen. For example i cannot find d14 in program but it is being used in hmi but not in buttons, rather configuration. Plc and hmi Connected via ethernet, udp protocol
  16. Hi, I'm trying to set up a TCP communication between a Q03UDECPU and a Beijer E110 panel  I've tried both TCP and UDP as "communication mode" in E-Designer. nothing seems to work.  What I'm I doing wrong Se attached files from E-designer and Gx IEC Developer
  17. Hello all, I have 7 Q series PLCs on a Melsec net/h network, Ladder Programming none of that fancy smancy ST stuff LOL. Were running the QJ71LP21-25. Now to keep it short I have used all most all my devices in my Network Range Assignment. I can not set up low speed range as I do not have enough Link relays and registers at all stations. No memory for more devices just trust that I can not do it... However I have an abundance of File Registers ( no I cant buy B or W in the PLC File params, well I can but it wont help because only one CPU is UDE the rest are H.) I have a project in which I must see about 50 words for each Station at every Station. I figured while I am setting up a Transient Transfer I will make a bunch of extra room for future updates and junk. My answer good or bad, is to set up some Send/Recv commands and do some Transient Transfer. I think I have it just about all figured out just a few questions. I have two manuals I have been getting my info from Q MELSECNET/H Network System Reference Manual ( I think SHNA080049)  and the Melsecnet/h training manual.  1.Any one have any better manuals that better cover transient transfer? Or that are new enough to mention GX Works2 instead of Developer? 2. Is there a max device for each send/recv? (I keep thinking it is 980 per station but no idea where I got this number)( I will increase the max # of transients in the supplementary settings under network range...) 3. Any precautions or advice like, Hey don't do this, I did this once and.... 4. It looks like as long as I use different logical channels for each station I should be able to send and receive multiple "messages" at once with no error?? (I will test this and look for the "no room in receive buffer area f222 error)  5. Will this slow down the Cyclic transfers (I will be watching the SW006D and so on to make sure it does not slow my regular transmission down.) 6. I will be using several special relays and registers in the program of course. Any I should use that are not obvious?
  18. latch clear operation

what is latch clear operation and how is it triggered? Q03UDCPU connected to AB contrologix via ethernet sends data to L or latch relays and i read that it is only reset via latch clear operation. will for example L02 turn off if the bit is not triggered in the contrologix side?
  19. overwrite linked word

is it possible to overwrite the linked word coming from the other station as stated in this refresh parameter?  http://prnt.sc/etejvj I will do OUT W703.11 which is written in the station 3 but I dont have access to it so I am asking if this is possible.

Hi everyone Is SLMP protocol and MC protocol are same?? what is the difference between these two protocols??   Thank you in advance
  23. Hello all, I'm using MC Protocol Format 4 to communicate with a VB6 application on a PC. I want to make some slight modifications, and I am getting a sum check error being returned by the module to my application. I believe (haha) I am calculating the sum check code correctly for Format 4 as most commands do work (reading for example). I was wondering if anyone knew of the buffer memory location on the QJ71C24N card that stores what the card is calculating for the sum check? This way I can have a troubleshooting tool to see what I am calculating wrong. I have looked through the manuals (application/basic) for the C24 already as well as the Melsec Reference Protocol manual.  I have attached the error code for reference, again, I am only looking for what the C24 calculates as the sum check code. Thanks
  24. F-MPC04 RS-485 Protocol

Hello! Anyone here know about Fuji Electric power monitoring unit F-MPC04? Does anyone have the Communication Manual for this unit? I need to find the F-MPC Protocol which it used with RS-485. I know it is accessible via MODBUS RTU, but there is already a system exist using this F-MPC protocol. It seems Fuji doesn't publish this protocol for public, but there should be a document somewhere :D   If anyone knows please kindly reply here. Thank you
