  1. Hi all! We have a problem with a Mitsubishi system. After switch off the machine in home position and back on, it resets the servo encoder value to 0.  I checked the servo parameters, and the Absolute encoder is enabled, the ext. battery is ok and no zero reseting in the program ( I think...). Is there a parameter I should check or some setting in the intelligent module? The system consists Q01CPU, QD77MS2 im., J4 200B amp with 6v battery, and HG-SR152 motor.
  2. Hello all I am have FX3G PLC, where i am trying to use SPD function for speed monitoring and controling. currently i am working on software only. I am using x4 as input (s1) , sk1000 (s2), and d4 (D) in monitoring mode when i am forcing X4 to ON/OFF ,  there is no any value change occure on d4 i have tried to change the s2 value from k1000 to k10000, but not fruitful i need your valuable support to confirm that my primary setup is correct or not and what things are required/missing attached program screeshot  
  3. Dear all, I had bought a mitsubishi plc fx3s-20MT/ESS which is the source output and I plan to try to send pulse to Mrj3a Servo Drive. According to the manual, it stated that the servo drive able to support the source type plc but I do find out that manual also mention that only sink type plc is suitable for melsec servo drive.  Anyone can help me in this case? 
  4. Hi all, I am studying how to control servo with PLC Mitsubishi Q-series. When I click Servo_parameter in Simple motion module setting tool, this annoucement appears.  Does anyone know why it appears? I tried reinstalling MR-configurator 2 but it didn't help.   5. I have a Mitsubishi FX5U-32M with 3 MR-JE-40C servos. Our system will be used in a robot cell, and needs to convey some information to the customers system, which is this EtherCAT side of things. They want to know RPM, torque values, position ,etc, of things on our system.. Our Mitsubishi supplier recommended an AnyBus X-Gateway (AB7961). They have a few YouTube videos on configurations, but unfortunately none on the Mitsubishi side i found. I've only been using Mitsubishi for a little over a year, but know my way around GX Works 3 pretty well.  I come from the Rockwell world with EDS Files and tag based setups, and for the life of me cant figure out where to start with this AnyBus. I've gone to the support page, got all the downloads and software, and gotten online with the Anybus. As far as beginning to setup the Anybus in GX Works side, to setup what registers i want to send, im lost... Anyone out there have experience with this sort of thing?
  6. Hello there, I am using a Kinetix 5700 drives to control bunch of axis. HW used : 5069-L320ERMS2 GurdsLogix, 2198-S086-ERS4 Servo Drive with MPM-B2152M-M motor and the 843ES-SIP12BA6 safety encoder. All is working fine except I can't figure out how to dynamically change an axis velocity  controlled by a MAG instruction. I have a virtual master axis controlling the velocity and each physical axis is controlled by a MAG instruction with a gear ratio. In my safety program I have SFX and SLS function block used to determine the safe speed limit. The  SLSLimit output of the SLS function block is linked to a SS1 Request of my servo drive. This causes the axis to stop when safe speed limit acceded.  What I'd like to be able to do is to dynamically change velocity (limit it to safe speed if SLS instruction is active) of each axis without having to change the gearing ratios and thus avoid the SS1 safe stop action.  I know how to do that using JOG or MOVE but is it even possible to do that using the MAG instruction?   8. Is there a way to monitor the Temperature of a Servo Motor on Allen Bradley Servo motors... MPL? PLC: CompactLogix 1769-L30ERM Drive: Kinetix 6500   Motors: MPL-B310P-MJ72AA, and  MPL-B560F-MJ72AA I would like to be able to monitor the temperature, and flash a warning screen on the HMI if the Motor gets too hot, or perhaps shut down the operation before the Motor overload trips. The drive and PLC are connected through Ethernet IP What I don’t know is if that Motor heatsink temperature information is available to the PLC.
  9. Hello guys, I am running an application for packaging measurement using a sick DFS60B incremental encoder (programmable from 1 to 10000 PPR). In more detail, it passes packaging on a conveyor belt and we have created an inspection station and an expulsion station (defective packaging), so we use the encoder to check at specific points of the packaging for defects (we use special sensors to check defects). ) (there are four in total). However, the problem we are having is the following: When reading the encoder in the PLC, the same means that performs "jumps" and does not enter the windows (GRT and LES) created on the ladder, ie, as if it were not continuous. . I understand that because the VHSC24 card works at 1 MHz in counter mode, this type of problem should not occur according to our application is not even 100 KHz. For example, our case: Using 1000 PPR and the motor speed (coupling output) is 3600 RPM (in practice it is around 1750 RPM) the frequency is calculated as follows: F = (PPR X RPM) / 60. : F = (1000x3600) / 60 = 60 KHz, ie 60 KHz is much less than 1 MHz, I think this kind of problem does not occur. Counter Attenuator: 1 Wiring Diagram VHSC24 We turn on encoder A at input 0 and encoder Aret at input 1 In logic (Structured Text) Using the PMUL instruction to convert encoder (Pulse) data to mm scale. (Ladder) The window comparisons part (GRT and Les) and other part of the process. We emphasize that we performed the tests also only with the reading and comparison part of the data, excluding the other parts, precisely to verify the issue of Scan, but the problem persisted. If anyone here in the forum has some information that can help us, I would appreciate it.

    Is it possible to simulate a servo axis in Sysmac Studio? Can you create a virtual axis and then set velocity & position for this virtual axis? If this is possible, is there an example program that anyone can share with me? Thank you. Happy new Year! 
  11. Getting this error while adding MC_TorqueControl. I want to control torque from HMI value. Using R88D-1SN08H-ECT drive and R88M-1M75030T-S2 Ac servo motor with NX1P2 PLC. Newbie Here.   12. Hello,   I have  a project where I need to run 2 Omron Servos 1S at same time with 1:1 ratio. I created virtual servo axis and attached my 2 physical axis to virtual one ( screenshot from Sysmac studio attached). For some reason when 1 of the axis has a fault, my whole virtual axis goes down. For recovery I need to to do GearOut and GearIn again. In one of the moments I'm losing count in my motion that cause issue later. I believe that I'm doing something wrong.  Can somebody help me to understand how I can keep my synchronized axis all the time? Thank you in advance!  
  13. Hi, I can’t find an answer to the following and I was advised to ask it here.I’m programming an Omron CJ2M with an MD212 high speed I/O card. I usually do all my programming in Structured text, simply because I like it a lot over ladder or sft.Now, if I want to read the hight speed counter (incremental encoder), I have to make a ladder section and use the PRV instruction to store the present value in a chosen location.The manual says the current PV is stored in A271, but I can’t get a readout there. Apparently the only way to read it is through this instruction.Does anyone know if there is an equivalent to the PRV instruction for Structured text? or another way perhaps? Again, when I check the actual memory adress, there’s no value there withouth the use of the PRV instr.
  14. I am controlling the powerflex 527 drive with MSO instruction, first setting the drive on and then running the motor with MAJ instruction. After MSO instruction, motor is rotating about 2 sec and then stops to wait the  MAJ. I have not find any solution for this. My configuration is frequency control, no feedback, sensorless. One hint i found from the rockwell pages but it did not help me. Rated slip speed is set to zero.  
  15. Hi Everyone! I need some help with configuring an inverter. The inverter type is powerflex 70. How can I set the next parameters. It should be work with two speeds.  First:  around 40 Hz.  Second around 10 Hz.  I think first I need to decide the direction, So I need two digital input for forward and reverse. Then I need plus more digital input, one for the high speed and one for the low speed. I guess I have connect dc 24 V too. I just dont know where should I connect this signal. I didnt find the properly manual. Do I forget something ?  Can anybody help ?  Thanks in adnvance!
  16. MR-J4-60GF-RJ Programming

    I am new to Mitsubishi (only done Allen Bradley) and Im tasked with programming a MR-J4-60GF-RJ servo drive with a HG-SR motor. I am using GX Works 3 and have a R02CPU and I am wanting to use CC Link IE Field Basic communication with this. Do I have to use the point table to move this motor from "Point A-B" or can I send absolute positions, speed, etc to a given position. Any advice/programming examples would be great. 
  17. Hell PLC World! I have been trying for several weeks in my spare time at work to tune an Allen Bradley Servo Motor.  Below is the list of hardware I am currently using: - CompactLogix Motion Controller (1780-L33ERM) - Kinetix 350 Driver (2097-V34PR5-LM) - MPL Series Rotary Servo Motor (MPL-B310P-MJ74AA) I have been using RSLogix5000 for testing and I plan to use it to develop a simple conveyor type program later.  I have tried a list of things which will be below, but to no avail, I cannot simply jog the motor for any period of time without triggering a position, velocity or bus voltage error.  I have tried changing the motor, driver and feedback cable to no avail.  Here is the process I have used: 1) Add the hardware to RSLogix5000 (PLC, Driver and Motor) 2) Configure the motor 3) Run the hookup test.  This works flawlessly.  The motor will slowly turn independently on the feedback test for as many revolutions as I input.  This is what makes me think I am doing something wrong in the tuning process. 4) Run autotune process with the velocity, acceleration and jerk set well below the limits of the hardware.   5) Attempt manually control motion 6) Recieve error I have tried changing the input from trapezoidal to S-Curve, changed velocity and position limits, manually tuned velocity gains in a myriad of configurations.  I have swapped legs on the 3 phase input (which made matters worse). I suppose it is possible that multiple pieces of hardware are faulty because this equipment was previously used, but I still cannot wrap my head around why the hookup test would work so flawlessly, yet I cannot just get the servo to rotate at an equivalently low speed. If anyone recognizes my mistake, I would be eternally grateful.  I am an intern studying control systems in graduate school and as popular as AB is, I would sure like to get some experience with it.  Thanks in advance!  
  18. Hello, I have a project where I need to synchronize 2 servos. I use GearIn command to sync this servos. I created 1 virtual axis and attached my 2 physical servos to virtual one. Based on application logic I need to stop sync servos when count from sensor reached max value. To stop the servos I'm using ImmidiateStop command. For some reason stop point for this servos variate based on servos speed.    How I can improve my stop point?      Thanks!

    Hello guys, I am facing a problem that our Servo is generating output for only reverse direction, when we give forward command from HMI the output Y0 is active but when we give reverse command same outut Y0 is high, other output which is Y4 is not high, what could be te possible reasion.

  22. Hi all. I have a Kinetix 350 and an AB TLY servo motor. I'm using the drive's STO function. AC power is supplied into the drive, passing through an "M1" contactor. It makes sense to m e to keep that contactor open, preventing AC power to the drive, until the drive is fully awake.  Is that what you guys do? Someone suggested to me in another forum ( http://www.plctalk.net/qanda/showthread.php?t=121021&highlight=drive+awake ) that there is no reason not to supply power to the drive right away because the STO function is inhibiting power to the motor anyway.

  24. Hi All, I have an AB servo TLY-A110T and 2097-V31PR0-LM Kinetix 350 drive. I thought that it was fully configured and ready for tuning, but when I issue a MSO it immediately starts to spin the shaft (no load yet). This lasts about a second until a Physical Axis Fault, Excessive Velocity Error occurs. I've double and triple checked the feedback and power wiring, and everything looks right. Is there anything else I can check? What can I do to trouble shoot this if I can't even give an MSO? Any insight is greatly appreciated.
  25. Hello All I am new to sysmac studio, i am using a NJ301-1200  and R88M-KN10H servo drive , i connected the servo to the NJ using ethercat. I was able to write a program where i was able to activate the servo from the NJ using the mc_Power instruction . My question is , i am not able to run the servo using the mc_movevelocity and mc_moverelative . Do any one have any suggestion to how to go from here ..
