    I need some help with G.input and g.output commands. I have a Q04UDEHCPU and my slots are as follow: slot 0 - QJ61BT11N cclink slot 1 - QJ61BT11N cclink slot 2 - QJ71C24N-R4  2-channel RS4222/RS485   I need to have 2 separate RS485 stings going to different devices. I cannot find the way of setting up the g.output command. G.Output "Un" (s1) (s2) (d) "Un" says it is the start I/O signal of the module, but I am not sure what that means. What there be a different "Un" number for each channel?   
  2. Dear all, I'm first time using M580 (hotstandby). Now finish the configuration, but the problem is how to write the address for Digital Input, Digital Output, Analog Input, and RTD module in elementary variable ? I try to put name DDI_1 and the address is same with M340 topology like %I2.1.0.1.1  and for digital input but got message after build : {Elementary Variables}    :     The instance is located on an address that isn't configured. :     DDI_1 Thank you for your advice regards  
  3. Hi,   I am using Omron CP1E NA 20DTD with built-in ANALOG inputs and output. I know how to deal with digital inputs. But I have no idea about analogue input wiring and programming. I tried connecting gefran LVDT PY2 directly to an analogue input of plc. But the indicator light did not turn on. Do I need to use any signal conditioner or converter? The output of lvdt is 0 to 25volts. I HAVE ATTACHED THE DATASHEET OF LVDT. DTS_PY2_06-2016_ENG.pdf

Dear all Please identify me i am having one Issue in my PLC.When I changed the IP of my plc then suddenly its showing error ERH its mean IP address wrong but  My CPU setting is same like previous means unit no=0, x16^0=0 ,Node=x16^0=1  and IP is 192.168.0.15 Mask add.255.255.255.0. but when I, transfer to PLC (in Program Mode) its not transferred(Failed to Transfer) please rectify me where I am doing wrong.

I READ IN THE MANUAL FOR THE CJ2M-CPU34 THAT IT IS POSSIBLE TO CHANGE THE IP ADDRESS BY WRITING TO D30098 AND D30099 (MY DEVICE IS UNIT 0).  I TRIED TO DO THIS ON A TEST PLC BUT AM NOT HAVING ANY LUCK... I WROTE MY IP ADDRESS #C0A8 TO D30098 AND #0E30 TO D30099 (IP ADDRESS 192.168.14.48) WITH THE CPU IN PROGRAM MODE, I SET THE RESET BIT (A501.00) TO TURN ON ON THE TRAILING EDGE OF THE FIRST SCAN BIT, I CAN TELL THE CARD RESETS BECAUSE I AM CONNECTED VIA ETHERNET AND I GET DISCONNECTED, BUT THE IP ADDRESS DOES NOT CHANGE.  IS THERE ANY WAY TO CHANGE THE IP ADDRESS WITHOUT CX-PROGRAMMER?  I NEED TO GET A SOLUTION TO MY CUSTOMER TONIGHT AND MY SUPERVISORS DO NOT WANT TO RELEASE OUR DEVELOPMENT CODE TO THE END USER.   THANK YOU!!!

  9. Hi, Iam new to schneider electric PLC drive programming and also to canOpen communication. I have an LMC058 PLC and there are three Lexium 32A drives connected via canOpen which inturn controls three servomotors. My question is how to find/ read hardware limit status of the axis in which limit is connected to a digital input pin of the drive. Even though the axis is properly working by configuring the digital input pins we are unable to get the digital input status of the drive. In the drive manual its given that the digital input status can be read from canOpen address 3008:F(hex) we dont know how to read the status during run time in the program . Can any one advise me how to read that address. I tried SDO_read function but its giving me error(canOpen network id Unknown). Thanks in advance.

    I'm working on a project that reads an RF - TAG via RS232. It uses the G.INPUT command. I need some help to see if I understand clearly how it works. Now it reads a maximum of 16 digits but in the future i want to pass it to 32 bits. The command line is |G.INPUT    U5    D6500    D6800    M7922| If I understood correctly I load in D6500 either 1 or 2 to tell it which channel to read from. It stores the 16 digits in words starting from D6800 and goes on till D6815 if I am correct. My questions are: - did I understand correctly how to use the command and is there anything else i need to take care of while using it? - do I need to do additional settings to it in order to read 32 digits or does it automatically read (if the RF reader is compatible with 32 digits)?   12. Hi! I have my 1756 IF8 wired in high speed differential mode but i can't configure the RTS smaller than 11 ms. What I understand it should be possible to set as low as 5 ms if module filter setting is 1000 Hz. Is there anything else that i have to do?

    We have Redundant S5- CPU948R we have the requirement of knowing input address for FUM signals(Open & close signals).. Also how can we identify which cpu is acting as main CPU and which one is Standby. We look forward to a solution. Kindly advice us.
  14. Greetings, I've been having some issues with a vacuum pump breaker tripping... I think I've figured out the problem and resolved it but I noticed that several of the other motors have current monitoring on the HMI but the person who set this up is no longer with us.  I'm wondering what I need besides an analog input for my control logix processor (which I have) to setup this project.  I'm not sure if the other motors are just monitoring one leg of the 3 phases or if they are somehow showing total current?  any ideas and recommendations would be greatly appreciated.   thanks,
  15. Hello, we have 6 encoders and 2 of them lose their mac address every time power goes out. The other encoders find their Mac address by themselves. Can anyone help me with this issue? Thanks for reading. Have a great day.

  18. Hello! I am programming with FT view studio version 8. In the program, when I make numeric display, I can not input values for this tag I am using in the display. Then I decided to make 'invisible button' for enabling the input for this tag which is shown in the numeric display. This is okey for me, only if there is other ways to do this please tell me. Now when I have created this numeric display with input enabling -'group', I have a problem, how can I use security levels for this group, so that only logging in values can be set? I have found that there is security code selection for this in the screen displays, but not for the buttons.

  19. Rotary input device

    I am looking for some sort of rotary input device which could be used for fine adjustment. Ideally it would have to two output pins, if turned clockwise it would send pulses on one of the pins and when turned counterclockwise it would sent pulses on the other pin. These could be connected to two inputs on PLC and a value in a given variable could be incremented and decremented depending on the direction of rotation. Almost like using potentiometer with analog signal. I guess if I can not find anything I could use incremental encoder and look at the phase of the output to decide which way it is being turned but hopefully simpler and maybe more cost effective solution is out there? Thanks.

    Hi, I have a CPU 314IFM order number 6ES7 314-5AE10-0AB0 when i select it in hardware config it show I/Q adress 124 -155 while it should be to 129 only (the manual mention that and it covers all inputs and outputs and the special funaction also) I try (offline) to change the order number only (another 314IFM) found it give different address range for each CPU while it all have 20 DI/16DO 4AI and 1AO

Hello, At the plant I work at there are devices with IP addresses starting with 192.168.0, 192,168.1, and 193.168.2 The SLC in question is on 192.168.2 We would like to access it from our laptops which are on 192.168.0 The laptops have their subnet mask set to 255.255.252.0 and we are able to pull see other controllers on the 192.168.2 network. However, for some reason we can't with this one, not even when I'm plugged directly into the Ethernet port on the controller unless we change our IP address to one on 192.168.2 I believe the subnet mask on the controller isn't set right. Can anyone tell what I'm missing here? Here's an overview of the current settings: Laptop: 192.168.0.20, 255.255.252.0 Controller: 192.168.2.17, 255.255.252.0 Any help would be greatly appreciated.   22. Hello everybody, I am connecting my DCS digital output (115VAC) to AB PowerFlex 753 Digital Input. We are using the 20-750-2262D-2R I/O option in the powerflex which is 115VAC I/O with 2 Analog In, 2 Analog Out, 6 Digital In and 2 Relay Outputs. My question is, what is the current or power consumption of the PowerFlex DIs at 115VAC. I need to specify the right fuse size for my digital output. Thanks,

I'm new to Omron, and after several days of diving into manuals trying to figure this out on my own and giving myself a headache I've come to accept that i need help. my task is the following: Control of the discrete and analog inputs/outputs in a DeviceNet system using an Omron CJ1M PLC’s and PT’s. Use at least one thermocouple, one analog input, and one analog output for the DeviceNet network. Use a pushbutton and a light for the start of the process and an indicator for the started process. I have a Drt1-Ad04 input, a Drt1-ad02 output, and a Drt1-ts04t temperature control. My devicenet is Cj1w-drm21, The Omron system itself is a cj1m-cpu13 etn21. I have node addresses for my input, outputs and temperature control, those being 35 for input, 25 or 30 for output and for temperature control 5, 15, or 20. The ip address im using for this project is 142.214.143.9I'm using Cx programmer, Designer and Integrator. On Cx programmer I've managed to create an IO table but i have no idea on how to begin the program or even get a current reading from my generator.On Designer I've made what i believe to be the layout of the pushbuttons, I just have no idea of what addresses to enter.And on integrator i'm having troubles on figuring out how to make a routing table. I've went through many manuals and either i'm missing something really basic here or I just have no idea on what I'm doing. The only advice I was given was to dive into more manuals and find my addresses for my inputs, outputs, and temperature or to find the information from an outside source be that a forum or customer service. I am able to provide more information, and screenshots of what I have done if needed. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated!
  24. For "string display and input" objects, there a "full keyboard" option that, when selected, will cause a keyboard screen to pop-up when you press on the input object. Is it possible to change this keyboard to one with Russian characters on it?
  25. I am working on Remote IO panel and plan to use the following components: 1734-AENT 1734-OW4 - qty 2 1734-IE4C I wonder if I need to separate the bus between the relay output module and analog input module? Or anywhere else in this setup? Thanks.
