Hello everyone, i am making a weight batching system , my system consists of 9 tanks each tank have a specific raw material , the user should be able to add a formula through scada system so he will be able to specify each weight of each ingredient to add to the formula. i have managed a connection between my weight indicator (pt650d) and my plc (fx3g) through fx3g232bd module (RS232 communication) , the weight indicator send data in ASCII to plc that we can show on the scada system . so how can i change the ASCII numbers that come from the weight indicator to Decimal number without changing the value so i can control a barrel that will add raw material from the tank to the scale untill it reaches what the user specify in the scada ??

I have done some digging and cannot find an alternative. I need a Multi-State Indicator for my NA-Series HMI that functions like the "Data Lamp". I do not like the "Data Lamp" because of the darker shade to the color scheme. Does anyone know of an alternative? I know I can simply use several "Labels" of different text/color and then only make "visible" the state I want the operator to see...…. Thanks,

FactoryTalk View Studio Screen # indicator
python01 posted a topic in Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
I am working on project which is using Micrologix 1400 and AB Panelview. I am using FactoryTalk View Studio to build the HMI. The PLC needs to know which screen is displayed on HMI so some additional functionality can be activated. How would this be done? I was looking where could I write screen number to N7 location in the PLC or set a bit in B3 area but could not find anything. Thanks for your help.
