    We have an older Nematron system we are working on and requires some software. The system uses DOS 6.22 and launches Screen Ware 2 software and the Reliance DCS V1.01 to talk to the Rockwell AutoMax PLC that uses the Programming Executive Version 4.2. We have the Nematron parallel port keys (dongle) needed and are looking for installation media for editing. We also need information on the executables that open the screen files the ULTRA MAIN MENU is not available to us. We are interested in viewing the config for upgrade so even software that is newer and capable of converting and reading the program is fine. Any help is appreciated!!

    I have a test station to test MR-J2S Servo drivers,  I am looking for something unique in the drivers to be able to save data about that test.  First thought was the SN, but i am not seeing any way to pull serial number from the driver. Only found it on the side of driver and really don't want people having to type it in , cause usually they type in the wrong numbers.  Does anyone know of a way to get the serial number out of the driver? or at least where it could be found?  Or any other unique identifier in these drivers?

  11. CP1E won't connect or run program

    Hi there! Today a CP1E-E10DR-D suddenly stopped working. RUN led was off and I couldn't connect to it via USB getting this error: "Selected port does not exist. Select proper port number from Change PLC dialog and press OK button", and automatic online function didn't work as well(it's not a cable/driver problem since I successfully connected to a CJ2 CPU using same cable and PC). Since I also tried to connect with the CPU outside the control cabinet with no success, I asume there is something wrong at hardware level.  My question is, have you ever faced something like this? My plan is to try to revive it somehow (maybe trying to locate any defective component in the PCBs or something). So I was just wondering if you have any advice in order to achieve it.  Thanks in advance!

Hi All, Has anyone had the experience of connecting two Fernhill Scada units using an OPC UA?  I am intending to use Fernhill Scada on my Master PLC to read tags from my Slave PLC's Fernhill Scada. Then, displaying local tags (Master PLC, "Fernhill SCADA Unit 1") and read/scanned tags from the Slave PLC, "Fernhill SCADA Unit 2". In the meantime, I am trying to use both of my Fernhill SCADA units interact with each other (one unit to read tags from the other unit) by using Internal Digital Tag on the Fernhill SCADAs.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi everyone, I am new here, currently I am working with AVEVA System Platform SCADA project where SCADA Data need to upload to a database frequently. so I setup a server remotely with database and tables (using Microsoft SQL server Management Studio). and using AVEVA System Platform SQL Data object i made a connection to the remote database and table and also add Attributes same as table Column. now I don't know how to use this SQL Data Object in My SCADA, how can i make it automatically insert My SCADA Data (selected data) to Database Table. Please Help me.

  21. I have an old Panelview 800 in a system that consists of the PV, a Micro 850 and 10 Powerflex VFd's running conveyor motors. My problems started when one of the motors would not run. It seemed that the PLC was not sending the Run command or the Speed. The problem got worse as I was working on it when two others did the same thing. The current situation is that 8 of the VFD's are getting a Run command and 2 are getting a flickering command. All 10 are getting a 0.0Hz speed command. I connected to the equipment with my laptop and looked at the PLC program and the PV program. I found that in the PV program that all of the user input data, which consists of Motor Speed (Hz), Accel and Decel times and some other timer values for the timing of some conveyor starts and stops, where all gone, set at '0'. this equipment is several years old and predates my presence here. The PLC program seems to be running and passing the commands that it receives to the VFD's. The data is passed to the PLC via Global Variables. I've never encountered this particular problem before. Any ideas?
  22. Hi, I have a problem with Omron PLC and Beckhoff IO. The IO just disconnects in a few minutes and comes back! I received different errors: Link off error, Illegal slave disconnection, process data reception timeout. When I also check "Display Diagnosis/Statistics information" I see errors on all ports A and B of all nodes.  I have called and talked to both Beckhoff and Omron.  I have two NX1 and one NJ101 to test. And I have three EP2318-0001. I have the same problem with all the PLCs and EP boxes. It does not matter if I have one, two, or three nodes. I have tried different revisions of the EP2xxx from the XML file, different settings for the slave, different task periods, and the error still is persisting.

Currently have NX PLC setup as an OPC UA server and an OPC client setup and communicating.  The issue is only tags that do not have a Data Type are showing up in the OPC client.  I have 2 separate OPC softwares connected to this plc through OPC UA and both are having same issue.  If I setup the OPC as a polling service, then all the tags show up as expected.  Does anyone know if this is a known issue with Omron and their OPC UA server, or is there something that I am doing incorrectly (possibly a setting within Omron that I am not aware of)?
  24. Good Morning,   My name is Joseph Rhodes, I work as an electronic technician for the City of Tuscaloosa at the wastewater treatment plant. I work to keep the plant up and running as well as 64 lift stations spread out around Tuscaloosa, Alabama. A majority of our lift stations utilize Verizon Cell Modems, RV50s to be exact. It's rather easy connecting remotely to these lift stations as I can configure a driver as an ethernet / ip driver then associate an IP of that lift station (ex. 10.181.3.104 is lift station 104, 10.181.3.105 is lift station 105, etc). However, for the lift stations that do not utilize cell modems. We use GE MDS 9710 and 9810 radios. It is these lift stations that I have yet to figure out a way to connect remotely to the LS RTU PLC. All of our lift stations use Allen Bradley MicroLogix 1200s or 1400s. These lift stations that use the MDS radios communicate information to water tanks then that information is sent back through other channels. I was wondering is there a way to associate these lift stations on RSLinx that use GE MDS radios ?
