    Hello, I'm from Poland. I would like to use the Sony Xperia Z to communicate with Omron NB screens using free software Omron HMI Remote Viewer. Unfortunately, I can not install this software. The attempt ends with the message "Your device is not compatible with this version". Android have software version 5.0.2. Does anyone in this matter can advise me something? Thank you in advance.   2. Hi guys, I have a problem with GX IEC Developer 7.04, i hope some of you can help me. When i try to connect with the PLC type - Melsec FX1s- 30MR-DC, there is an error: I check all COM port settings, and everything is ok. Com_port parameters: FX Parameters: Transfer setup: PLC Type in the program is the same like physical one (FX1s). I try to change all of this stuffs but there is no result.   3. Hi, I am looking for a Modbus TCP based AI and DO data acquisition module and scada program. The analog inputs are 4-20 mA . SCADA should be able to communicate over Modbus TCP( I think every SCADA does that but just want to make sure). Can you guys please suggest if you know something good fit my application? Thank you,
  4. Hi friends, I am a little new to WinCC. I am using a WinCC RT Advanced license within TIA portal v13.1 I need a little help in my current project as described below. I am attempting to create a faceplate of a solenoid valve,, The "Valve" is a user-defined data-type with the following 4 elements 1. Cmd - or command. - Bool 2. Cls_Fb - or Closed -Feedback -Bool. 3. Aut - or Automatic Mode -Bool 4. FTC - Fails to close -Bool. I tried the following procedure as described in TIA portal help.. Method -1 1. I created a User-defined data type called Valve comprising of the above 4 bool elements. 2. In the graphics I made a image of solenod valve with one rectangle (solenoid) and one polygon for valve body. 3. Under the Faceplate Properties (See figure attached) I inserted a property ang gave it the data-type Valve as above. However, when I drag a property from the 'Contained objects list' to the interface side, it is not getting substituted. such as the Rectangle_1 's background color I try to associate with the interface property Valve.Cmd. It does not get assigned when dragged. Since this does not work I tried another approach, Method -2 I attempted to declare a variable tag of UDT type 'valve' in the faceplate's tab Tags. I found that it is not possible to declare a local variable of User-defined types here. Please guide me how to proceed. Thanks for looking in and best wishes for your success. Regards, Raj S. Iyer

  6. Hey All, I am trying to do some data storing on a PanelView+ and the built in data logging doesn't quite fit my needs. I was looking into the possibility of creating my own ActiveX control for doing this. Is it possible to create custom ActiveX controls for Factory Talk? If so, are there any tutorials for doing so you recommend? Also, are there any sites that have custom ActiveX controls to download? I realize this may not be the easiest thing to do, but if I could create my own I could use it for various machines and would make things a lot simpler in the long run. Thanks
  7. At work we have been having a slightly increasing number of instances where the Micrologix 1400 that is paired with a Panelview C400 resets values when we cycle the power. Originally we thought the solution was a bad battery in the ML1400. This was the case the first few times that it happened. However, we recently had one doing the same thing and when the program was loaded onto another PLC and HMI combo it had the same issue. So either the battery for both just happen to be bad, or there is something in the program that is forcing the values to automatically reset when the power is cycled. I cannot post the program on here but I can tell you that the tags that are being reset are only used in the PLC program once. There are six total that are being reset and they are the high and low range in an SCP function that is used to scale inputs. I will be testing the program myself in house on a bench setup, but I wanted to get this question out there as soon as possible in case it is not an obvious problem. Has anyone seen this before? Any suggestions? If I come up with an answer I will post it. Thanks.

    Hi, I have a CPU 314IFM order number 6ES7 314-5AE10-0AB0 when i select it in hardware config it show I/Q adress 124 -155 while it should be to 129 only (the manual mention that and it covers all inputs and outputs and the special funaction also) I try (offline) to change the order number only (another 314IFM) found it give different address range for each CPU while it all have 20 DI/16DO 4AI and 1AO
  9. Hello, I am having troubles configuring my Data Station Plus to be able to read my Vacon VFD registers over a Profibus network. The network is configured from an Omron PLC. I have communication but i do not know how to map the tags on Crimson to be able to read what the drives are doing. I am most likely thinking my offset on the tags that i have set are the main problem. Hello all, I am trying to get around a lot of manual inputting by exporting a routine and opening it using excel, but looking at the file that excel shows I have a couple fundamental questions 1. when excel opens it and "creates a schema', can I save this in a format that will allow me to import it back into the program? 2. Since I am mapping data using add on instructions, the table excel has created becomes quote complex, with no clear point of reference to where my Input tags are going to go. We are doing this because someone thought it would be a good idea to put a SCADA based control platform over the top of an AB control system, so we have to exchange thousands of points of data back and forth with their system. I created the mapping AOI blocks to be able to manage the file structure a little better in the routines, but that still leaves me with copy and paste thousands of tags into the AOIs. Has anyone developed a good way to create logic, or modify logic using excel? While I can hold my own with utilizing the RS5000 platform, my excel experience is limited.   12. Hello all, I'm new to this forum, hope I will be able to get some answers on this forum. I'm wotking on maintanance for machines under productiona and I would like to conect one machine to my work PC. But when I try to setup conection with RSLinx, RSLinx don't see my PLC. Problem is that my PC is on network with IP addresses 192.168.8.XXX and machine is on 192.168.0.1 IP address and between is cisco RV180 routher which is set to have LAN address 192.168.8.168 (company network), and WAN is set as 192.168.0.200 (subnet 255.255.255.0, gateway 192.168.0.201, dns 192.168.0.202). When I conect directly 1756 ENBT/A card to my laptop (laptop is set to same range of IP addresses) I can see PLC and everything is working but this way is not practical for me. Is there any way to conect my office PC to PLC, some settings in RSLinx Clasic? Any idea would be helpful.     Hello Experts, Good day to you all. I just can’t figure how I will integrate five S7-300 PLC. CPU 315-2dp. (1.Blow moulding-> 2. filler-> 3. labeller-> 4. packer-> 5. Palletizer) I just want to get the speed of its machine, the output rate and the alarm, this is purely monitoring, archiving, no need to control anything here. I planning about SCADA system. I’m thinking if I could do the same way in my previous project, which I’ve done in profibus master/slave for two s7-300. But this time the five PLC’s already set the profibus as master to the danfoss drive, sew drives, ET200s and many more profibus slave. I plan to buy 1 PLC as master and I will set all as slave, but how since all the five existing PLC, its profibus already configured as master. Thank you very much.     I've been tasked with building several "maintenance" related HMI screens in our Wonderware application for systems running on S7-300 and S7-400 PLCs. I'd like to provide an overview of general PLC status for all PLCs, displaying this type of information: LED StatusStatus of Communication to WonderwareI/O FaultsModule faultsetcFirst on my list was LED Status. I found a Siemens tech document describing how to determine the status of each LED on the processor via PLC programming, but it occurs to me that it's pointless to do so for the Run or Stop LED's - if it's not in the Run state, then the code will not execute, therefor the HMI will always display a healthy status for those two LED's. I'm referring to a Siemens document entitled "Programming Example in Ladder Logic, Getting the Status for the CPU LED Indicators." It would be nice to be able to indicate if a PLC was faulted/stopped. Does anybody out there know of a way to do this with Wonderware? I'm fairly new to Siemens and Wonderware (mostly AB and iFix experience), so detailed answers will be much appreciated!

    Hello, Let me preface this. I have used this site many times when searching for issues and it has always been helpful. This is my first post here. I have been programming PLC's, HMI's, VFD's etc etc for 15 years, fairly complex stuff. I have also done lots of SCADA programming but more just for basic interface, monitoring, basic parameters changes, logging, etc etc. I am not facing a setup where I must do a large recipe/batch data transfer and I am confused as to what the best path is to achieve this. I have fairly basic knowledge of VB script as I have not needed to use it very often. Here is the problem I am facing. The SCADA package the customer has is Omron CX-Supervisor. The network is all Ethernet Based 1) I have 26 moulding machines on the plant floor2) There are 50 different moulds that are moved around from machine to machine3) Each mould can run 1 of 10 different colours4) There are 100 differing cycle parameters for each colour/mould combination =50x10x100 = 50 k points for total machine that = 50k x 26 = 1.3 million ! What the end result will be is this. From the SCADA operator terminal they would like to be able to keep a 'master set' of these settings, call up a mould/colour combo and see the individual parameters. Then they would like to edit individual parameters and download to each individual machine, or all at once. I do have a PLC at the Main terminal that was used for translation of the old serial network to ethernet. All of the serial connections have been removed so it is basically doing nothing. I could use this as a "master" for holding parameters if needed. What is the best way to go about this. Create a database, use the built in recipe manager, use PLC here as 'master storage". I feel once I get down a path it will make more sense...I just don't want to pick the wrong option and have to redo it all. Keep in mind my PLC coding is vastly superior to my knowledge of database manipulating and VB coding ThanksDan
  22. Hi, i tried everything i know and what i saw in all forums possible, and i can't resolve that problem. So i came here hoping have anyone can make this "miracle" rsrs This is the problem... Have one application operating with FactoryTalk SE 5.00.00 (CPR 9) in plant made by other enterprise and we will insert a new area on system. So we backup the application coppying this 3 itens: - The file: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\ApplicationData\Rockwell\RNAServer\Global\Application.RNAD - And the folders: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\ApplicationData\Rockwell\RNAServer\Global\RnaStore\Application C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\RSView Enterprise\SE\HMI Projects\Application After i create a VM with Windows XP Professional and same name of existent server, install FactoryTalk SE and replace the file and folders in respectives locals. So i open FT and all most of things restored, but the graphics didn't. I tried add them manually, It appears that is loading, but in the end, no screen was added. Sorry for my english errors... I hope someone can help me.
  23. I successfully read the input and output of OMRON PLC CPM2A with Indusoft web studio (IWS) by using OMPLC driver. I have select OMPLC driver (Serial Com). Then configure a driver worksheet. The driver worksheet is the place that PLC tags are associated to InduSoft tags. I successfully read the I/O but I failed to write the I/O of PLC by using IWS. Can you help me? It is difficult to find OMPLC Standard Driver Sheet (SDS) for control relay output block (CROB) and Analogue output block (AOB). The attached diagram shows My Standard Driver Sheet (SDS) setup.   24. I am trying to setup communication between an EIP21 and a AB Compactlogix processor. Setup both units with Network configurator and Logix5000. In Logix5000 I used the Generic Ethernet Module with the correct consumer and producer tags and instances. When I go online Logix can see the EIP and bring up the module information but the connection itself is in Error 16#0114 Electronic keying Error. Unfortunately cannot find a way to disable keying like possible on the Controllogix Ethernet module. Can Anyone help. An application example or some tips how to resolve it would be great.
