  1. Hello I would like to first let everyone know I am new to the world of troubleshooting or programming plc's . What we have is a SLC500 system that is connected to a Panelview 1000 HMI via the DH+ network. The issue we have is the panelview displays a gate that is suppose to be closed at as gate fault. When i connect to the plc the ladder rung shows that the gate is closed. To show various positions of the gate the programmer used N13:70 as gate opened and N13:71 as gate faulted and N13:72 as gate closed. When i checked the logic it showed the bit N13:72 as engaged or true if you will. This logic is in the ladder rung that is labeled PV Status which i take is the status the HMI reads so my question is why does it show GF when it should be reading GC. Ive searched all through the logic and it doesnt appear to be wrong here is the logic the best I can simulate it  ladder 6 rung  53  instruction is  XIC O:13.0/11 and OTE N13:76/0 (Gate Open ) and the branch is XIC I:5.0/11and OTE N13:76/1 (Gate Fault) next branch is XIC N13:3/11 and OTE N13:76/2 (Gate Closed which this section is green or highlighted or true which ever you like) when i looked at the input XIC N13:3/11 this is what I found is that this XIC is on ladder four rung10 and has the following XIC T4:154/DN and branchoff that is XIC I:5.0/11(gate opened)XIC I:6.0/11(gate closed) which these two inputs are false or not lighted the output is OTL N13:3/11 and it is true which makes the previous rung true showing the gate closed. So why is the panelview showing the wrong position. I even went as far as resetting the HMI and the PLC so if anyone has a helpful hint I would greatly appreciate it.

  5. I am trying to communicate Delta HMI Dopsoft -W software on PC and corresponding PLC program in Delta PLC ES2 .I don't have Delta HMI at the movement.I have prepare communication cable myself. This cable communicate properly when I simulate the plc Software with delta PLC software WLPsoft. But it dosn't communicate with online simulation with Delta HMI software DOPSoft-W .but whenever Ipressed any button on PC HMI I can see the PLC communication indication LED blinking every time. I have set all the parameters of communication many time but no use. I am using comm1,9600,even,1 and station 0 or some time station 1. but I get the communication error 7 and 10. evey time and no action. Every time I compile my program in dopsoft it compile with no errors, and if i go for off line simulation it works fine. I have put the correct read and write address of my used components, like X0, X1 and Y0 and data memory D400 same in DOPSoft and PLC. could any body help in this situation. I can also attached the image files of my PLC Ladder program and HMI program on PC later on.
  6. Device point error between Parameter and PLC

Hello all, I am a beginner with PLCs programming. I have an issue on GX Developer programming software from Melsoft trying to program my Mitsubishi Q-series PLC. CPU is Q03UDCPU. When the program is written and I try to upload it to the PLC, with the write to PLC window, I check -Program -- MAIN and -Prameter -- PLC/Network/Remote, click EXECUTE and a message appears : "Device point that is set in parameter is not match the device point in PLC". I can't fix it. In Parameter - PLC Parameter - Q parameter setting (window) - I/O assignment tab : I have (see image). Whe I use CHECK button it says there is no error. The X41 input device is plugged on slot 1/00. I am making this folowing the instructions a PDF I found on the Mitsubishi electric's wesite : Q-series basic course (for GX Developer). Thanks for the help, A. S.
  7. Modbus Addressing in Weintek HMI

Modbus addressing in Weintek HMI to poll data from Temperature sensor through RS485. In my system i have connected Temperature sensor to I/O Scanner has output in terms of RS-485 which directly connected to COM3 Port pin. No. 6 (as Negative) & 9 (as Positive) of HMI (Model No: MT8071iE) and HMI connected to PC via ETHERNET. I want to read temp on HMI screen via MODBUS protocol. So, can you please provide me instruction about addressing of MODBUS register in Easy-Builder Software so can read data of corresponding register. Because when i do compile i got an error like " Device no Response". I hope i will get reply from your side as Fast as possible to overcome this problem. Thank you.

  9. Hey everyone! New member here, and this site has always been a big help!  I try to help other folks too, but a lot of guys are super quick on here.   I've got a problem using some obscure components. I inherited a sensor network at work that uses Panasonic S-Link and I need to read them from a Q-Series. Panasonic makes a module that slots into the Q Series called an SL-VMEL-Q that I have.   My question is:  Did I do everything correctly on my Mitsubishi side? I put it into the parameters as an intelligent module with 64 points and I put the correct address in for the start I/O. Is that all I have to do?  This is the first time I used a module that wasn't on the drop down list when you add one in GX Works 2.   I can read and write to the buffer memory, but I can't get the unit to send to or receive from the sensors. I think the problem is that there is no end unit on the S-Link line (I don't know if it's just a terminating resistor or what), but it previously worked without one, so I can't be certain.
  10. Hi everybody, I have a GT2310 communicating with the Mitsubishi F800 VFD. I am using the Freqrol 800 communication driver, connected to the RS-485 terminals of the GOT and on the F800. The comm settings are the same on both devices. I also tried to use the “auto negotiation” setup. I have communication between the two devices. I can read and write to F800 registers.   Anyways, The GT designer diagnostics is complaining about a communication error in the system alarms. The error can be reset but it will appear again.   This also happened when I created a new, empty project where just the communication was setup as described above.   Did anyone experienced the problem and how to troubleshoot / solve this?   Best regards

Or is no problem of my iFIX version ?  Thanks
  18. Hi, I have some trouble with a CJ2M-CPU33. My client did a backup to memory card earlier today, and after this we did some changes through remote link. Now the client wanted to restore the previous backup to the PLC and has done so, but the system would not function correctly. After going online on the PLC it seems like the PLC is stuck in "Stop/Programming Mode". When trying to change to "Monitor" or "Run" mode a dialog comes up containing the following message: "Failed to change the operating mode. The operating mode may be still changing in the PLC."  - All the dip switches are set to off after restoring backup - The PLC has been rebooted  - I have downloaded the application again through CX-programmer  - Verified that the PLC is set to start up in "Monitor mode" But nothing helps. The same message comes up when trying to change the operating mode.  Hoping anyone can help to resolve this issue as it is very critical for us and the client. In advance, thanks for any tips or help received. Best regards Stian

  20. NX-105 Received Data

Hello,  PLC: NX1P  Comm module: NX-CIF105   I am running a serial (RS485) network to control several motors. As a trigger for to read the serial port I am using the ( Ch1 Receive Data Exist) bit, which is an internal bit that's ideally should be energized when there's data in the Receive buffer. However, this bit isn't reliable at all. I am reaching out today to figure out if there's another way to trigger the receive command ( preferably without a delay)    thank you all  Cheers!
  21. Delta PLC Analog Noise Reduction

Hello All, I am Using Delta SE Series PLC and 06AD Module for Pressure Transmitter. But Analog input get fluctuate continuously. Is anybody have program for analog scaling.
  22. Hello, I have managed to send output to a terminal using a serial channel.  I have not been able to send data from the terminal to the Mitsubishi PLC. I am not using terminating resistors but I have a slow baud rate of 4800.  I am just using regular wires (1.5mm square) .  I think the hardware is okay as I can see the output from the PLC on the screen. Attached is the code.  I just send from the terminal the character 22 every second, I hope this is not too incomplete to get some help.   The plan I guess later is to interface with LabVIEW probably using Modbus but I need to try to get this working first.     UL9.gx3
  23. Hello i'm new in all things about plc, i do a project for school and i use a festo fc 34 plc. The plc is programmed via serial port RS232 my pc not support a serial interface and i use a RS232 to usb adapter. when a try to download the program to plc give me a error: "ERROR: Cannot access controller".  What i do wrong.  Thank you in advance and sorry for my English. Have a nice day.
  24. I am trying to connect a Delta ASDA-A2 Servo internal motor encoder to a Delta DVP28SV high speed counter input.  I was successful in connecting the servo to the plc on position mode with an external encoder connected to PLC high speed counter.  Currently having trouble in finding the correct wiring between the servo drive and the plc to count the pulses from the internal motor encoder.  Attached are some figures from the servo drive manual. OA --> X0 is obvious, tried s/s to GND, COM-, VCC and VDD... no result. Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.
