  1. A1S68DAV parameter

please can anyone tell me how to set A1S68DAV analog output module parameters , such as voltage output and resolution? or is the parameter can't be set at aLL (ie, fixed at -10V to 10V)?
  2. BECKHOFF CX-9020

Hello PLC experts, I am master student currently writing thesis. For this, I have a initial task of making some changes to PLC program (Just started getting to know about PLCs- complete beginner). I have a BECKHOFF cx 9020 PLC connected to my notebook using ethernet. I am using TWINCAT 3.1 (VS) as IDE. Firstly, I cannot find my PLC IP address connected to my notebook . I added the route in the Twincat and it shows the PLC is connected. When, I am trying to run a program (activate boot project), I am unable to login to the PLC. It gives an error "login failed for application port 851". What I undertood from BECKHOFF scripts,  there is something wrong with the ADS ams net ID which I am trying to figure it out. I appreciate all the help. Thank you.

  4. Device point error between Parameter and PLC

Hello all, I am a beginner with PLCs programming. I have an issue on GX Developer programming software from Melsoft trying to program my Mitsubishi Q-series PLC. CPU is Q03UDCPU. When the program is written and I try to upload it to the PLC, with the write to PLC window, I check -Program -- MAIN and -Prameter -- PLC/Network/Remote, click EXECUTE and a message appears : "Device point that is set in parameter is not match the device point in PLC". I can't fix it. In Parameter - PLC Parameter - Q parameter setting (window) - I/O assignment tab : I have (see image). Whe I use CHECK button it says there is no error. The X41 input device is plugged on slot 1/00. I am making this folowing the instructions a PDF I found on the Mitsubishi electric's wesite : Q-series basic course (for GX Developer). Thanks for the help, A. S.
  5. Hey everyone! New member here, and this site has always been a big help!  I try to help other folks too, but a lot of guys are super quick on here.   I've got a problem using some obscure components. I inherited a sensor network at work that uses Panasonic S-Link and I need to read them from a Q-Series. Panasonic makes a module that slots into the Q Series called an SL-VMEL-Q that I have.   My question is:  Did I do everything correctly on my Mitsubishi side? I put it into the parameters as an intelligent module with 64 points and I put the correct address in for the start I/O. Is that all I have to do?  This is the first time I used a module that wasn't on the drop down list when you add one in GX Works 2.   I can read and write to the buffer memory, but I can't get the unit to send to or receive from the sensors. I think the problem is that there is no end unit on the S-Link line (I don't know if it's just a terminating resistor or what), but it previously worked without one, so I can't be certain.

  7.  Hi all. I have a question about how to set up the motor in rotary mode. My application will be a basic rotary table driven by a servo motor without gearbox between. So, in my servo drive axis settings, I select the motor as a rotary mode. then I defined the maximum position setting value for 360 degrees, and minimum to 0. So far so good. But the problem comes when I want to make an absolute move using the mc_moveAbsolute to move 360 degrees. Whit this settings the error "target position settings out of range " will come up. So, what is the solution to rotate 360 degrees without generating this error? if I set up the maximum value to 361 degrees and then if I rotate 360 the error will not occur and the motor will rotate 360 degrees as I aspected, but it's this correct ? or there is another way to do it? Thanks
  8. C-mode hostlink library for NJ/NX1P or CP1L

Anyone knows if there is a C-mode hostlink library for NJ/NX ? Also, a C-mode hostlink library for CP1L could be helpful, to translate such a library to work with NX1P is probaly less work whan writing a new library.  Maybe Omron France has developed such a library? - they seem very active..   Background: Looking into writing a programmatic c-mode hostlink master for NX1P12, this is for connecting the handheld NSH5 HMI to the NX1P12 via RS232C using a CIF01. I have the hardware set up, and an machine built, expected some compatibility efforts by Omron.... but the NSH5 seems to talk C-mode hostlink, and the CIF01 only seems to support the FINS version hostlink.   On the NJ you can of course add an SCU module, thus not need a library.  But working with NX1 ( due to limited space available ), you are dependet on available CIF-modules which do not support C-mode hostlink.
  9. Hi everyone,  I am trying to use Kepware to communicate with my PLC setup which is the iQ-R Series R08PCPU.  I read the documentation which is available at https://www.kepware.com/getattachment/3daf1ac3-5c76-49ce-bbfe-f0fb1015f6cc/mitsubishi-ethernet-manual.pdf I read through the setup for Kepware and the setup procedure for iQ-R series but it still didn't work.  From the documentation, it said something about "using special ladder logic to enable ethernet communications is required.", I couldn't find anything about this online.  Here what I did in addition to the documentation: - Enabled IP Packet Transfer - Ping the PLC's IP Address which was successful Does anyone have any idea what I didn't do to establish that communication between Kepware and R08PCPU?  Thank you in advance.
  10. Here is a link to a thread on a recent post showing how to communicate serially to an Omron PLC using VB.Net. This uses the Omron Host Link serial protocols. (C-Mode Commands) It will read 10 DM registers and display them on the form.   http://accautomation.ca/implementing-the-omron-host-link-protocol-vb-net/ Here is the source program that can be downloaded. 11. Hi, I have some trouble with a CJ2M-CPU33. My client did a backup to memory card earlier today, and after this we did some changes through remote link. Now the client wanted to restore the previous backup to the PLC and has done so, but the system would not function correctly. After going online on the PLC it seems like the PLC is stuck in "Stop/Programming Mode". When trying to change to "Monitor" or "Run" mode a dialog comes up containing the following message: "Failed to change the operating mode. The operating mode may be still changing in the PLC."  - All the dip switches are set to off after restoring backup - The PLC has been rebooted  - I have downloaded the application again through CX-programmer  - Verified that the PLC is set to start up in "Monitor mode" But nothing helps. The same message comes up when trying to change the operating mode.  Hoping anyone can help to resolve this issue as it is very critical for us and the client. In advance, thanks for any tips or help received. Best regards Stian
  12. Please assist me with the following; regarding the ME96SSHA-MB Power meter data transition with Melsec-Q series PLC; We acquire to read various values on dedicated Modbus storage address registers at the simultaneous into a Melsec-Q series PLC via Modbus (TCP or RTU)  for calculation purposes. Naturally, since the reading of these variables are to provide accurate instantaneous results, it is a requirement that these values are to be read at one scan.   However, as can be seen below, there is a gap in address register range – of which, if all of these are scanned simultaneously, yields an exception error when read. This error is only avoided by scanning these data sets separately – which is not ideal for our application – since accuracy in calculations is imperative.

  15. Start Ladder Logic Test

Hi, there! I had got GX-Developer Ver.8, which is very different from the plc programs that I have learned before. I have read many tutorials and watch it but I still don't know how to start ladder logic test. Many other people simply click on 'start or end ladder logic test' but mine was greyed. Anyone has solution? Or I just missed a couple steps of simulation? Though it is very basic problem, I will put a deep gratitude for your reply.

  18. GX Works2 Q Series TCP issues

Hey guys, been looking around for a solution and I was brought here.  I'm a programmer at a place that just put in a bunch of these Mitsubishi Q series QJ71e71-100 ethernet controllers.  I wrote a TCP server in Java to try and talk to them.  I'm trying to get data sent over from a little GOT1000 test terminal.  The zp.open command is working fine and i'm seeing a good syn-ack handshake, and if i push some text to the plc from the program I get a response (even if it is always the same nonsense).  but when i try to use the zp.send it fails, I get error C1A6 on the ladder program and the q series lights up the comm error light.  I know I'm being super vague here, I was just hoping to gain some insight.  I don't much know what to expect from this forum if you guys are active or if my question even has an answer but i've been banging my head against the wall for days now.  I'm just using a tutorial program from the q series manual and a super basic tcp handler in java.  If there's any other information I can provide let me know.
  19. I'm having trouble in finding a complete manual instruction and set-up on setting up a communication on a Q-series PLC to a inverter a700/a800 via RS-485. I have a manual for fx series, are the parameters the same as the fx series? how about the program, like  starting or stopping the motor? Are they same or not? In the Q-series, do i leave switch-5 "station no. setting" blank? i just started this so i hope that i can make this work after new year. This is the manual for the fx-series plc====> http://www.automationsystemsandcontrols.net.au/PDF%27s%20Mitsubishi/Manuals/FPLC/FX%20SERIES%20USER%27S%20MANUAL%20-%20Data%20Communication%20Edition.pdf   PS: I'm mostly self study because i don't have proper training yet and my school sucks.
  20. edit comment directly from got

  21. Hello,  As the title indicates, we have a micrologix 1400 that has been installed for a long time.  Recently it faulted out on 71h and was in Remote Mode.  Do these PLCs revert to Remote Mode when in a fault condition?  We placed it back in Run Mode and everything worked fine, but how did it get to Remote Mode in the first place? Thanks,  J
