Morning Guys, For my latest project I need to read a gas sensor via 485 from a Momentum PLC. I've been through the help files, but they seem to only raise more questions than they answer, they only seem to reference PLC -> PLC comms. I've had a play with the 'MBP_MSTR' & 'OUT_IN_MBUS' function blocks, but i can't seem to get anywhere, Has anyone got any examples of reading in data via 485, or can anyone lead me in the right direction?

Good Morning. I'm budgeting an application with the following FR-F720, FR-D720, GS2107 wtbd, FX5U-32MT / ESS equipment, I would like to know what network configuration for the application, I need accessory boards for the inverters, what physical arrangement it would be better for this application, which network would be used in the application, besides which function do I need to read and write in the inverters? Can I do CC link? If possible indicate materials that I can use to configure this application.

Hey guys I don't have much experience in PLC serial communication and I'm tasked to integrate 6 OP-905 scales with our EATON based control system. The scales are rs485 asynchronous serial communication, my concern is that if the device is not designed to be an RTU then I cannot use modbus. And if that is the case how do I talk to multiple scales using the async protocol. Has anyone done this in a similar platform?

I am developing an application with fx5u with inverter d700, it fails to send a command to the inverter, only running the application and monitoring the clp does not appear to fail, only when it sends a command. Attached photo of plc configuration and error. Do you have any secrets to doing communication, can I do it with a normal network cable? I'm doing with just one inverter, as the terminator should be at 110 or 330 ohm.

I need some help with G.input and g.output commands. I have a Q04UDEHCPU and my slots are as follow: slot 0 - QJ61BT11N cclink slot 1 - QJ61BT11N cclink slot 2 - QJ71C24N-R4 2-channel RS4222/RS485 I need to have 2 separate RS485 stings going to different devices. I cannot find the way of setting up the g.output command. G.Output "Un" (s1) (s2) (d) "Un" says it is the start I/O signal of the module, but I am not sure what that means. What there be a different "Un" number for each channel?

Hello everybody, I have network from : PC - 192.168.3.11 PLC - 192.168.3.250 I change this option in FX5U PLC in GX Works3 for Network Ethernet port --> Application Setting -> Security -Disable Direct connect with MELSOFT : Enable/disable -DO not respond CPU module search : Respond / not respond and I upload program to PLC. After upload program to PLC and restart it was impossible to connect again. I Have ping between PLC and PC, but could't write program. Always writes me Error <ES:0180840b> So to disable Security Option you should to do : 1. Open Works3 2. New Project (Choose your PLC - FX5U) 3. Online menu 4. Specify Destination Communication 5. Click twice in PLC module 6. Set Connect via hub (In my case i connect PC and PLC directly !) 7. Choose IP Address ( in my project : 192.168.3.250 , PC must be in same network 192.168.3.X) 8. Give OK 9. Connect Test. With steps I disable security options and it was enable to connect to PLC and Write data on it. I Hope that will help to other with same problem. Hello. There is a controller FX5U-32MP in the presence, the inscription "CC-Link IE Field Basic" and the Inverter (FR-A840-00170-E2-60) near the connector, the inscription "CC-Link IE Field Basic" on the front panel. I set up both devices according to the instructions. It turns out to read the state of the inverter (state, frequency). And I can not manage from the controller. Already all the settings that could have changed. Can you scribble what is wrong? p.s. Sorry for the bad english.

In 1 - sorry for my English level) 2 - please take a Look at the picture - pid with auto-tuning. The problem is the opener, speed want to control using pid. The speed depends on the loop. The idea - the loop above the sensor - the greater the speed of the decoiler. According to the program stored in SD6301 current high (analog input to which you've ultrasonic sensor), D1500 specified value. In D204 - output pid. I have the exit D204 either 0 or 9999. Help me?

Hello all i'm looking for some software to record a 100 plus channels maybe with an ascii string from a PLC? i want to be able to assign each channel with a unit and a range, flagging feature would be nice. - selecting the channels i want to view - auto start recording - save file and start new automatically -view and create reports preferably no additional hardware because of the amount of channels. this is to record an operators every move so in events of damage or plant failure we can quickly identify the problem (point the finger) many thanks dan

Hello. I have tested different type of communication between by rs485 fx3u and fx5u. On fx3u side used fx3u-485-adp-mb. In case of N:N and Parallel Link fx5u is more comfortable than fx3u. But, modbus rtu not so good. I made 3 tests: 1)FX3u master with ADPRW function; ADPRW in fx3u supports wider count of modbus functions, most usefull for me is H17 (Read/Write multipleregisters). But when i send telegram to Fx5u with this function, fx5u fall in error (recieved unsupports serial com functions). i have checked instruction manual on ADPRW - FX5u doesn't support H17, only H03 and H10. For read/write from fx5u need to use 2 instructions on FX3u side. 2)FX5u master with ADPRW function; In this test ofcourse i tried use H17, but result was expected - error. 3)FX5u master with predifined protocol. In this test using H17 function on Fx5u side was successful. Conclusion: FX5u better use as master for modbus rtu communications via predifined protocols, and if it used as slave need remember that it doesn't support H17. I hope this information will usefull for sombody.

I was looking for what drivers that should be used when connecting the new FX5U plc with the older E-1000 series (E1100 in this case) in e-designer 7. Intended connection method is ethernet on the FX5 (obviously) to Ethernet on the E-panel. I am sure this question will come up for several users so let's keep this thread as clean as possible. Hello, I need to communicate Power meters ( GE Multilin EPM 5500P) to GE Multilin EnerVista Software. The present communication system uses Ethernet for communication from LAN Switch to Computer. There are a few existing Power Meters which need to be connected to the Network. The Meters having output ports as RS485. I need to use a convertor for that right. So when I contacted GE they told me to use GE Multilinet Serial to Ethernet Convertor. But due to the price and unavailability of the material I am thinking to use a universal convertor. Is that compatible for Multilin Devices?? and In Case of using a universal Convertor does we need any other drivers for that. Please Help Me.. Hello , I'm using DVP12SE11R Delta PLC . I would like to read data from an external device using RS485 communication. In the WPLSOFT i have informed that i gotta use MODRD command in order to read the data . but i am not sure how to use it properly. the data is formed as one bit ('1' or '0') i wanna read 10 registers using MODRD although those registers are not ordered one after another and i know MODRD can read 6 registers one after another. Then i would like to use that bit as a Normally Open contact in the WPLSOFT and turn on a coil. i would like to get some help with it. thanks.

Good day I require some assistance with the configuration setup (GX Works 3) for FX5u PLC inter-communication (PLC to PLC), over Ethernet (using the built-in Ethernet port). The purpose of the inter-connection is data exchange. (Values stored within the PLC storage registers such as words and bits). Does anyone perhaps support files on this such as a procedure or example? Thanks -

Hi, I'm trying to test the serial communications with my Micro820. I acquired a 2080-SERIALISOL so I could have "someone" to talk to. I want to use RS485, so I figured that I'd have to connect: Modbus pin 1 (D+) to serialisol pin A1 (+485) Modbus pin 2 (D-) to serialisol pin B4 (-485) Modbus pin 3 (GND) to serialisol pin A2 (GND) Now when it comes to CCW, the thing gets a little harder. I know I need to use the MSG_MODBUS block (in fact I need 2, one for the modbus and another one for the serialisol), and I guess I specify the interface I'm using on the TargetCfg field (data type MODBUSTARPARA). But how do I figure out that the Addr (UDINT) and Node (USINT) values are for my Modbus and Serialisol? Or am I doing it wrong? Does anybody know of any place where I can get some more guidance or even a funcional ladder program? Thank you in advance

Hello everyone!I have strange problem.I have plc, inverter (mitsubishi), incremental encoder (sick) and motor.When i set the frequency on the inverter about 1,5Hz, the plc correctly counts impulses, but every higher frequency causes the plc counts impulses incorrectly or doesnt count. Above described things are happening at the rotation of motor in the forward direction. With a rotation of the motor to the rear, high-speed counter doesn't count the impulses.All the parameters of high-speed counters and PLC program i am sure there are right ( i'm using only instruction to start high-speed counting (HIOEN) and to enable interrupt (EI). Input Response Time i had on "No setting" or 10micro-s and nothing.Type of encoder - A/B phase, HTL.PLC - FX5UPLC program - Gx works 3.Maybe somebody had similar problem? Maybe somebody could tell me where i need to look for the solve? Thanks for help :)

Dear All Sorry for my English I have Siemens CM1241 (picture attach) and need to communicate with Intellisys XE 90 via Modbus RTU, period. The problem is, form XE 90 the connector is Phoenix Contact 2-Position Screw Plug Connectors MC 1,5/ 2-ST-3,81 1803578,or in other word, only 2 contacts form P9 COM1 = L1 , L2 (picture attach). How we connect it to DB9 Female in CM1241? What signal go to what Pin? How about the Ground? Do I need Resistor? Thanks for all your supports Best Regards
