Can anyone help me find where is recipe plus or recipe manager in View desginer(studio 5000) software. i want to create an recipe but i am unable to find a recipe manager .

I am sure this question has been asked before but I cannot seem to find what I am looking for in my searches. I have just started working for a new company and I am working remote. I will be running my Rockwell Machines on Workstation Pro. Normally I have always had an individual license on my host machine to share with my VMs but this company use a license server that I will connect to through a VPN. Can anyone tell me how to set up my VM connection to look at the VPN? I have tried several things myself but with no success. I can ping the server from my host but no matter  how I am trying to set up my virtual adaptors can I ping the server or fetch activations. Thanks in advance.

Hello, i want to create a connection between SIMATIC Manager Step7 and Wincc Explorer to share tags.  I configured wincc to PLCSIM MPI (Create new MPI connection in Tags management) connection but when i active Wincc explorer the connection gone in Step 7 and PLCSIM and when i want to charge my config in the PLCSIM that message 33:17135 shown (SIN_SERV not started)

Running 8 Client screens in a control room, on shift change the operators need to log out all 8 separately and the new operator needs to log in all 8 screen or clients. Is there a way to get them all in one  login at once , button macro or something

Hi Guys, who knows about the new Software FactoryTalk Network Manager? I am trying to get the connection with a stratix 5700 but no success. I think i do not know how to really configure the network Manager so that it sees the switch. Now just for the test i have a LAN cable from switch (any port) to the host PC where Network Manager is installed; the IP of the PC is in the same range like the switch. Any ideas? thank you

HiI am just starting out at a new job full of GE systems.I have a IC695ETM001 ethernet card which has a RS232 port for Station manager access.I can currently see some info (such as IP, firmware version etc.) from the card when I connect with Putty and cycle the power but I cannot send commands to the card. I've tried Putty, hyper-terminal and a standalone Station manager terminal from GE but nothing works.Anyone know whether I'm missing something?

Hi all,  At my work, we are unfortunately still using GX IEC Developer 7.04. All of a sudden I can no longer open any project at all with my GX IEC Developer. I can start the program just fine, but as soon as I choose a project to open I get "cannot initialize communication manager". And after this, I get another 2 "cannot restore parameter file. param.tmp not found" and "cannot restore transfer setup file! cnct.tmp not found!". Doesn't matter which project. And I have opened these earlier with no problem for years. I have tried reinstalling ALL Mitsubishi software on my PC. And restarting PC. I can't find a link to any other changes I have done on my PC either... Does anyone have any idea how to solve this? Best

Hi guys, I have a desktop with rs logix5000 activated with dongle and i want to activate rs logix 5000 on a laptop.Those 2 PC doesn't have internet.So I copy in the laptop license files of the dongle in the activation file , I see the available activations in FTA, but the activation in RS doesn't work even if I refresh the server...thx for ur help ! ;)

I have a configured and working FT Transaction Manager, but the computer it’s installed on needs to be replaced and now I'm trying to install FTTM on different computer. I’m trying to complete the configuration "checklist", but when I get to the "Define Data Points" step, there are no applications in the "Select an Application" pop up window. What's wrong? I'm new to all of this...

Hi all, some one can help me with a restore on Rockwell Factory Talk Transaction Manager? FTTM V10.10, run at Win7 64, Solidcore installed and run. When I try to do an application restore, the FTTM give a error shown in the photo. Error: Configuration data files are already present in the path. Sorry, I am forced to erase the real names of files and replace them. Thank you BBB

Dear Friends; Good day. First i install the windows  virtual xp mode on Windows 7 64 bit. After installation i installed the FTM, RSLINK,and rslogix 5.0 in virtual xp mode.  Then i activate the software by Factory talk manager and select the hard disk and for a single computer activation. This process successfully acomplished. But when i open the RSLOGIX it shows popup that activation path is not found. Then i again open the factory talk tool and note that there is no activation shows in current activate products, But the activation detail shows in the RE host tab. I re hosted the activation by using go to Rockwell site and message show successfully activation re hosted.   *** Now i am stuck here is i loss my activation?  *** in windows xp virtual mode how i activate my product that application find the correct path of activation file? ** In windows xp mode if i open my Computer there is shows other hard drive partition as well as Local disk C:\  and activation file save in virtual drive instead of real C drive in windows 7. But there is no file path option to save the activation. Its by default save on C:\documents and setting\all user\shared documents\rockwell\activation\*****   Please help me how i activate my product in windows XP mode successfully?  Thanking you. i will remain Regards  

Hi, this is my problem, I created an app on FT Administration Console, in fact, one for network and one for local, I changed the connection to local on Log On FT, but, when I try to define the data points on Step 3 of configuration checklist, only shows me the network app, i select the app, after click OK, the FTTM freezes, anything else happens, I don´t know what am I doing wrong.  

So here's the problem I'm facing. I've recently started working for a company that has two facilities. They have lots of old equipment/PLCs, plus some new stuff. We undertook a project to upgrade the network infrastructure, and replace all the old programming terminals (Some had Windows 2000!) with a new standardized programming terminal, all sharing a common image. We've installed these new computers, and they were working great. Recently, we switched all the licensing to a Hyper-V based server, using FactoryTalk Activation Manager. Right off the hop, there was issues with one of the sites (let's call it site B). Site A is working fine. When you open FactoryTalk Activation manager, it populates the activations from the server in about 1s. The wait times for opening software are pretty normal (For RSLogix 5000, "normal" isn't exactly rapid, but like I said, that's normal). For Site B, the activations take forever to refresh in Activation Manager when opened on a programming terminal. The software takes even longer to open (we're talking about 2-3 minutes). Network wise, Site B is further along than Site A. We've implemented a Stratix layer 3 switch at the top of the network and use area specific VLANs to reduce multicast noise across the network (much of the multicast noise comes from vendor equipment, not PLCs, so I can't control it). This works fine. I can remote in and use TeamViewer/VNC with acceptable performance across the network, so it's not being bogged down to unacceptable levels. However, connection to the activation server is unacceptable. I'm not sure of the culprit (yet). We are continuing network improvements, removing some older 10/100 links and installing Gigabit equipment between the Hyper-V server and the above mentioned Stratix, hopefully that might help. However, that same 10/100 link is the one I use to remote in and use Teamviewer currently, so I can't see how much improvement it will give us for activations (which really should take almost no network traffic). To get activations, I'm just adding the IP address of the Activation Server into FTActivation Manager on the programming terminals. Any ideas, people? Thanks

Hi group,   I am trying to return an activation that I believe was left on my VM when I deleated the RS Logix software. I have reinstalled Activation Manager to see if I can return the activation. (The activation list from the server shows my VM as having an activation and expires next year!  Thats why I need to return it so other workers can use it.) In the attached images is the LIC File the license and if so why would it not be seen in Activation Manager?  How do I go about returning this if it is a borrowed license?

Hello All This is my first Transaction Manager project. I have a working configuration in Transaction Manager 10.20 that successfully writes PLC Data to an SQL 2012 Management Studio DB based upon a trigger event. The only problem I'm having is with writing String Datatypes to my SQL DB. For example, I have a "Serial Number" that is a string variable in my Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLC. In turn, I have the "SerialNumber" field configured in a SQL table as varchar(length 14). The Transaction Manager connector only shows SerialNumber PLC tag as Data[0] thru Data[13] under Data Points. In Transaction Manager I entered 14 in the "Elements" column for Serial Number. I assumed that would be Data[0]..Data[13] But when I trigger my transaction, the SQL Database field for SerialNumber is a value of "11"...which is the string.LEN property, (current string length of Serial Number is 11). How do I configure Transaction Manager to write the actual ascii value for the SerialNumber string to my SQL database instead of the string length? thanks Jay

Hello Everyone, In PCS7 hardware configuration, I have connected IM153-2 FF link to a profibus master connected with CP443-5 Ext. And afterwards I have connected the field instrument with FF communication with the slave bus on FF link. However I am not able to delete the equipment once connected. The error is showing as the object is locked. How to unlock and delete the objects which were takes for testing purpose. Thanks in Advance, GJ

Hi, I have a problem with my BC9020 and hope that someone can help me. I managed to set the IP adress of my PLC in the 10.2.5... add a root, run a program and make the PLC working for a while. I then tried another program, a new one... and now that I want to re-read the first program, Twincat System Manager doesn't allow me to enter in the "run mode" and stays in "config mode". It also has lost the IP address I set (10.2.5.....) and came back to the 172.16.22... (manufacturer settings) I cannot determine if the problem is in the PLC Control or In System Manager... This is my method to change the IP *** IP config *** 1) Reset the PLC First I place the end terminal next to the PLC. I set the DIP switches 1,6,7 to ON, power on the PLC and power off. I set the DIP switches 2,6,7 to ON, power on the PLC and power off. I set the DIP switches 1,2,6,7 to ON, power on the PLC and power off. 2) Set my PLC on the same AMS than my own IP (172.16.22...1.1) 3) In System Manager, add a new route 4) change the setting in I/O Configuration -> I/O Device -> Device 2(BX9000) -> clic on BX9000 define "set IP Address" to Manual define " IP Address" to 10.2.5...., the AMS change automatically. Press the configuration button and then Ctrl+F4 (run mode) This method worked but seems not to be the best... If you have any Ideas ? or questions? Thank you in advance Gregi
