  1. Hallo everyone, i have a logix5561 PLC wich control a pumpsystem. The Pump is driven by a linear Motor. I need to perform frequency tests on the system. So first of all i  want to know how i can generate sine wave with this controller? I google it but didn't find any valuable information.   Can i perform such tests without additional hardware?  thanks for your replys!
  2. Hi! I am using a Ethernet/IP and a Brainbox ED-588 as a gateway to a PLC that has 8 in and 8 out Digital IOs. In order to interface with other types of PLCs I am looking for a gateway that has 16in and 16out digital I/Os I have also been asked to work with NPN output, not PNP. This can be achieved using yet another component, but if possible I would like the gateway to be configurable with NPN/PNP output. N.B. The orignial protocol doesn't even have to be Ethernet/IP, I might be able to work with other protocols as the source. Products that I found do not have enough IOs   Thanks!
  3. Communication

good evening. Someone can give tips on how to configure and physical the application with the following items: Advanced Interface Converters (AIC +), PanelView800 2711R-T7T A and MicroLogix 1500 Programmable Controllers My doubts are about the configuration of the communication, and I have doubts about the physical environment and protocol to be used.
  4. Continuous sine wave problem

Hi,  I encountered specific problem during work with PLC&HMI application. The main task of that system is controlling torque changes of induction motor with inverter&analog PLC output. There are few built-in functions to change torque: exponential, constant, trapeze and unlucky sine. All functions are implemented as array of 1500 values. When array reaches 1499 element, it comes back on first position and so on. It works without any problem for exp, constant, trapeze and sine wave with natural numbers of frequency e.g. 1Hz, 3Hz etc. The trouble appears when we want to control torque with float value of frequency and unfortunately its the most important part of that project. When the float value frequency is chosen, the last element of array is totally different than the first one. In result, in every period of array, appears drop of value. Check the attachments to comprehend what's going on. The first image shows GXWorks restriction of index. The second image shows how does it look on simulate screen, where it's representation of PLC registers D2000 - D3499. On third and fourth images you see values of registers in Device Memory Batch of GXWorks. Fifth image shows the script which I work on. Do you have any ideas how to implement float values of frequency in correct way? I should make an opportunity to online change of sine frequency in continuous way between 0 and 10 Hz, with 0.2Hz step. I will be very grateful for any advice.  Greetings, J
  5. CX Supervisor Modbus RTU

Can CX Supervisor be used as modbus RTU master using RS232/RS485 or USB/RS485 converter to connect it to PLC or panelmeter or other modbus slave units and how? Any example? Thanks in advance Goran
  6. I'm trying to connect a 2711-K5A8L1 FRN 3.13 PanelView 550 (DH+ three wire connector) to a 1747-L553 SER C REV C (RS232 and ENET). I read that I may need FRN 3.3 on the PanelView 550 to do a passthrough. This will be a dedicated connection with no other devices. The PanelView 550 has only the three wire DH+ connector and an RS232 printer port. I was trying to connect PanelBuilder 32 to the RS232 port and may only have PRINT and DOWNLOAD capability on this port. Is there an inexpensive way to connect the PanelView 550 and the PLC CPU? Something like the 1761-NET-AIC would be fine, but I did not see an option for DH+  .
  7. Selling the drives below. Rapid company expansion came to a halt and our vendor is not offering what we need for reimbursement. Prices shown are already wholesale rated, however, I'm open to negotiating. Numbers spaced between the model number and unit price are quantities that are being sold. Serial numbers can be provided to verify age, but these are all brand new-old stock. 8. frequency converter

Hi guys I Have Question of Propo variator converter that there kind of drives her PHASE IN (230v) AND Nature / OUTPUT TO THE ENGINE 3 PHASE (UVW)? -or if required entry 3 phase (RST) and output TO MOTOR 3 phase (UVW)? I would be happy to answer :)
