  1. Hallo everyone,    I Have a question about how to get a accurend measerument withe a flowmeter. Because oli is added based on the flow. The flowmeter specs: Signal:        4 - 20mA signal.  Capacity:    0 - 18000kg/H   Specs Dosing pump: Signal speed controle:   4-20mA capacity:                         160L/H   Specs plc: FX5U,  analog->digital card, digital -> analog card.  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ What I whas thinking is: Flowmeter:  4mA            20mA 0 kg/h        18000kg/h --------------------------------------------  1mA  = Delta T mA /  max KG-H -------------------------------------------- Delta T16 Max kg/H18000 1 mA =1125kg ----------------------------------------------- For the Dosing pump: Doseerpomp 0     50Hz 0     150L/H number liter per Hz =   Hz/L         = 0,333333333 Speed controle  4mA          20mA  1mA =   Delta  Hz /  Delta  mA  Delta mA16 Delta Hz50 1 mA  speed to Hz = 3,125Hz   ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------   Questions: Do I use the write formules? And how can I make thit wurks the best?     Thank you for your time.   Greetings

  3. I am using DVP-ES2 PLC with DVP04AD-E2. I connected the flowmeter to the analog input module (4-20mA). And I noticed something weird, when the flowmeter shows 4mA value (no water flow at all) the data in the PLC keeps coming like 20-30 (0-32000). And when I change to the other port of the analog input , it even reaches value like 100 although there is no water flow at all. Note: I have done proper scaling to Liter/second and do proper grounding. Do you know what is the cause of this?
  4. Hey all, Further to my other post I need to read an analog input flowmeter signal (4-20mA) and scale it to litres per minute flow-rate. Then display on HMI...... Then use a PID control block to control a output water control valve (4-20mA) to a calculated set point (litres per minute) The flowmeter is measuring water flow in a pipe & The control valve is controlling the flow rate in the pipe. The water is then sprayed onto a conveyor belt - measured at a percentage SP depending on the amount of powder product on the conveyor belt (in KG) 1. So inputs to PID is the SP (litres per sec) calculated every few seconds from product weights (kg) in bins. 2. And the PV is the flowmeter reading. 3. Output is the control valve (4-20mA)  Does anyone have any tips to do this or some good flow PID and flowmeter example. Your help would be much appreciated. Thanks Richard
  5. Hello, I have a three wire Hall-Sensor flow meter that I would like to monitor with my ML1400. From watching this tutorial from The Automation Store I believe I can figure out how to get flow rate once I have it wired up, but I am struggling in figuring out how to wire it. Currently, I have a 6V power supply going to the power wire, the signal wire going to IN0 along with a 10k pull up resistor between signal and power, and sensor ground going to DC COM 0. I am not getting any readings this way and would appreciate any help in figuring out where I went wrong. Thank you.
  6. Pulse FLow Meter

i have a paddle Wheel Floweter of TOkyo Keiso W2000. its frequency is 88 Hz .  Flow Rate  30L/min. i want to connect it with mitsubishi fx3u plc digital input as it is pulse flow meter.    kindly tell me how can i determine its pulses for liters.
  7. Hello friends, I'm trying to understand the logic of the a flowmeter pulses for obtaining the volume of a fluid but I don't know why multiplying the value 0.985/100 by counts of the HSC. I hope someone can help me. I attach the picture of the code...Thanks!!!!
