  3. Hi, I have inserted new RTD module into in my SLC500 as replacement to defected RTD module however the module LED is enabled but the channel LED's are blinking. I have checked the following: In the advanced I/O configuration the module configuration is shown as expected In the data file word format it is not corresponding to the channel preferences What should I do and how to fix the word bits?        
  4. I have a 1996 Howa Vertical Machining Center running on a Mitsubishi M520AM control. 3 Axis with Jig Changer on the main control. ATC and 16-tool magazine on 2 each Model E/FCUA single-axis amplifier/controls with a DIO extension interface to main control . I lost parameters and User PLC program to the 2 Model E amplifier/controllers at  ATC and the Magazine servos. Dead batteries, and both units are back to defaults. Main Control and Operation Panel work. I can read the ladder and write to CPU ladder from the operator panel, and I have a paper copy of the main ladder and parameters. I have a working FCUA-CT200 pendant to communicate with the 2 Model E controls, but no way to program a new user ladder and upload it to the Model-E's. Anyone know where to find PLC software for 1996 vintage Mitsubishi CNC controls? I can probably make any kind of interface cable it would take to get from a PC to the control. the FCUA-CT200 teach pendant will let me enter parameters  via 'PLC I/F' but it won't let me program and read/write a User  PLC.

  10. Anyone possibly have software for the Mitsubishi Positioning module AD71 (SW0IX-AD71PE) ? It's a servo positioning module for A Series PLCs that can either be programmed by an old programming terminal or a DOS based program for PC. I think SW1IVD-AD71P could also workReally hoping to find the any compatible software for this controller.   18. I'm a young Controls Engineer at an integration company, and I need assistance.   I have a client that has about 330 different alphanumeric product numbers broken down by length and width. The operator must be able to select the product number at the HMI to pass along to the robot we are integrating. Is there a way to be able to have the operator select the product number simply, without having to scroll over 300 items in a single control list. The HMI is not chosen yet, so it can be GE, Rockwell/AB, or Automation Direct, but we are using a AB ControlLogix Processor. Racking my brain and I have little VBA/Scripting experience.
  19. Hi all,  I want to ask some questions regarding Ethernet Communication with FX3U PLC series. I have 2 PLCs of FX3U series (FX3U-48M and FX3U-64M) and I want to monitor its data (input and output) using ethernet communication in real time. My questions are: 1. Does FX3U PLC have ethernet port so I can connect it directly to my Laptop/PC? 2. If no, do I need to use FX3U-ENET-ADP and can it be used for 2 PLC or only 1? 3. What software do I need to use to configure the communication between PLC and FX3U-ENET-ADP? 4. Does this configuration change the existing PLC program? 5. Can i transmit the data wireless-ly using some kind of ethernet to wifi adapter and what additional hardware do i need for that?  
  20. Hi, I have an old TSX 47 30 that has an I / O fault (red led on) green led on run and plc stopped. I'm writing to see if you can help me to establish communication and achieve the download of the program. I do not have the communication cable or the PL7-3 software under OS 2. So far I have done searches on the schneider page, forums and all the links are lost or deactivated. I have read your answers in plc of the same series and I observe that a converter rs 232 to current loop is needed. In this case here in Venezuela it is difficult to get this converter, however I have observed the black box model 232 CL-E, CL050A and I think it can be useful. I also have an old toshiba laptop with windows xp with a native rs 232 port to avoid another converter and I could make the connection cable DB25-DB9 to the PLC. Now I would miss the procedure to make an OS / 2 bios and get the software or make a virtual machine in which case I require the appropriate software .. thanks for your help

  22. Folks, we have a set of Mitsubishi Q12PRHCPU (redundant) running effortless since many years. CPU-A as standby and CPU-B as Control. Recently we noticed BATT low alarm on CPU-B. So we arranged for a spare battery Q6BAT and started the procedure as per manual(attached procedure and flow chart). We did memory copy from Control to standby (as prescribed precaution) and did the Reset of Standby PLC CPU-A. Memory copy from B to A completed successfully 100%. But the BACKUP LED did not turn Green from Red & Error LED kept flickering on standby CPU-A. CPU-B remain in Control but backup LED turned RED. From system monitoring we found that there is a Error 6000 (FILE DIFF.) observed in One of the .QPG (program 00-MDBUS.QPG). We tried to reset it but were not successful. We are surprised that why does the program differs when it was copied from CPU-B to CPU-A using the memory copy. Still we did the VERIFY and found no difference between the programs in CPU-A & CPU-B.  Can anyone explain the cause of this issue and the solution. Please note that the CPU-B is still in control and plant is running. Backup LED on both CPU are red which means (redundancy loss) and error LED on standby CPU-A is flickering RED. There is no error in the CPU-A (Control) -we checked this using the GX Developer. Also attached here are the image of the error and error help. Thanks in advance.   23. Hello, CJ2M CPU-32 to IAI motion controller through ethernet/ip I'm working on programming electric actuators to pick up parts from a tray. I will have x (row) and y (column) coordinates that I need to update to move the actuators. So to go through the whole tray I would have to use nested loops. (below what i'm trying to achieve if i was doing it in C++)                                           6 Rows and 6 Columns, palettizing                                           data rows&columns DWORD (Row1,row2,row3...row6; col1,col2...col6)                                           c++ code                                           for i=0,i++,i<6;                                               rowData = row                                               for i=0,i++,i<6;                                                   colData = col                                                   execute movement                                                   wait for confirmation                                               end                                           end I have a way of doing it but it will require a lot of repetitive lines and typing every step, and I was wondering if there is a way on every iteration to increment the data location instead of the contents. In the picture below you can see the example where the goal is to copy data from D8100 to D8000, then in next step from D8102 to D8000, then from D8104 to D8000 and so on. So far in the documentation I was only able to find how to increment contents. Is it even possible to do what I want to?
  24. Hi everyone! I have a question to all of you guys - do you ever use any software or online tools to manage your automation/electrical engineering projects? I have worked in a number of companies and have seen various scenarios, from using excel tables to run multi-million dollar projects to using proprietary SW for every little tiny project. Unfortunately I do not have experience working for any major big integrator and am very curious how projects are managed at this level (and if every engineer likes the way it is handled).  Additional question - does anyone have ever used a software to automatically generate the PLC code? I know some companies develop products to generate the "skeleton" of PLC program and I think it is a great thing to have.
  25. I have been able to Jog the opposite direction from a Hardware OT with my 1S servos (using Sysmac Studio).  I reset the OT Fault and Job the opposite direction. What I am having trouble with now is, I have set Software Limits and I cannot Jog off like I can with the Hardware OT.  I have been told I should be able to do that, but it still does not work.  The fault returns immediately when I press the appropriate HMI Job button....which is the same HMI buttons and Logic used when I have the Hardware OT. Has anyone ran into this before?  It may be a setting I have not done right maybe?? Thanks,
