  1. Citect: Displaying IO device comm. Error

Hi guys, In my current project, I have a number of energy meters (128) communicating on Modnet (TCPIP) with Citect as different IO devices. I have a screen, where I wish to display the communication status of each IO device. If there is an error communicating with a particular I need to associate a tag for displaying the same. Can someone guide me how to accomplish this.   Thanks for looking in.
  2. NB7W-TW00B Print Error 7300-FFFB

Good day lads, we encountered an error on a NByW-TW00B HMI, showing "Print Error 7300-FFFB". Checked already on the manual, which mentioned this : "Driver & UI Printer Settings Disable" (V106 manual, Section 7-9). What's worse is that NB manual doesn't give any workaround for any printer error. The NB is not connected to any printer. The "Enable Print" tickbox is unselected (checked both in the program and in the System Setup Screen). Also there is no button/macro which triggers any print function. Any of you have encountered this? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you

This is an example (with code) on how to cycle user messages on the Keyence KV-D20 display. The code is written as a sub-routine that is easily incorporated into a Keyence KV series PLC. The code is proven to work - I've used it many, many times. A brief rung-by-rung commentary explains the basic operation of the code.

  6. Hi everyone, First time posting here, sorry if I screwed up any rules on this forum. I have a logic file that was created two years ago. I'm using RSLogix 5000 version 20.04. The customer has owned it for two years, and I just got the latest copy back from them to do a kit. So when I go to save my changes (offline), I get "Failed to save the project as 'filepath'. An unexpected CTree error occurred." Error 753-80042211. (see attached screenshot) I tried searching this error on google, with no results. I went to the help dialog box, which wasn't helpful. (See second attached screenshot) I can't think of anything else to do, my boss is gone until two weeks from now, the other guy in my department has less experience than me.   Can anyone think of a way to fix this? Otherwise I'm completely stuck. Don't think my boss will be happy with me getting nothing done for a week.   The help file says: Error saving the project to a different file An attempt to save the project to a different file failed. The error message you receive indicates one of the following conditions: Name is badly formed The name does not follow the IEC-1131 Name standard. 13. I am running a very large step based program on an NJ plc.  I have several status and alarm messages that I need to display on the screen during the auto cycle.  Right now I have set up unions in the PLC for the faults... but this is a very large program with a lot of possible faults.  I'm up to 9 16-bit array unions already.  It is just getting really cumbersome.   I would like to just write an INT to a data area for each fault and status message.  That way I can assign each step a 5 values to be used for faults and messages (ie: step one can use numbers 1-5, step 2 can use 6-10, etc) .  Then I want to have the NS display a message from the string table based on the value in the data area.  Is this possible?
  14.  hello there ! all the variables are reals ... can anyone explain why i get a different result when i calculate c2 first ??? the two programs shown in the pictures are exactly the same ... the only difference is the posistion of c1 and c2 . please help me . 16. I am having issues trying to send an email using the message instruction and the ENBT module. Attached are snippets of my configuration of my message instruction and the error code that i am getting. I had IT look into it on their side and i shouldn't have any network switch configurations that is blocking the successful delivery of the message. Anyone have any ideas what could be the issue? Thanks!

  19. Error code: 4140

Hallo. Recently ive got an error i haven't seen before. Error 4140 im using GX IEC developer  CPU is Q06UDEH I cannot figure out why the error happens.  When show the location to the step where the error occurs it makes no sense. The specific area has only got simple bool operations. When trying to recompile the entire project. The error "moved" to another location in the program. At this step there was a lot of float operations. When monitoring one of the variable value was NAN. I could not find anything about NAN in the manuals. But google stated it could mean not a number, which makes sense when reading the error description. I know it impossible to help me with my specific problem, when i cant really tell where or why the problem happens. But im pretty sure it has to do with me using float operations wrong. Ive tried to do a simple test program just to see if i could provoke the error, but no luck. How can i make a number go out of range, make it unnormal, nonnumeric or even infinite? Maybe someone could give me a simple example how to provoke this error, which might help me on my search in my own program. Thanks. Below is a screen-dump from the manual on this error.
  20. Let me try to explain this correctly..  I have a machine built and coded in Japan, so while I know 90% of the code and functions there are certain parts of the code I have never touched.    Today i started getting an error that is commented as E-Net, so I am assuming its an ETH I/O issue.. but the device is something I have never seen. U1C\G20480  Can someone explain to me what this device is or how it is used?
  21. Dear all, Last week I had an A1 PLC in error. I was wondering if there is a D-register that contents the error which caused the PLC to go down. Especially the D-register that keeps the information of previous errors because we had to power down the PLC to reset the problem. The problem did not happend again but i like to know how to deal with it when it does. I Know there are some D9000 registers to show internal errors like battery fail however I don't know if there is also a register that shows the last and second last error after power down. I hope someone has the answers to this. I'm looking forward to hear from you. Best regards, Theo V.
  22. hi all, I have CPU 315 - 2 DP. I can't download program from S7 manager to CPU. I have message Help on Message 33:17075 Description: All stations on this subnet must have the same value for the transmission rate. The interrupt may not be assigned for other hardware components. The MPI addresses in the network must be unique, meaning each address may only be assigned once. The local Station address must also not be greater than the highest station address in the programmable controller. Remedy: Call the program "Setting the PG/PC Interface" in the Control Panel. Under "Properties" set the transmission rate used in the network and adjust the local node address to match your network. Set a station address for your programming device/PC which is not higher than the highest station address in the network. Shorten your HSA address to match the PROFIBUS addresses of the slaves used. i put all the interface setting PC/PG on default but i've the same message. what i must do ? please some help.
  23. Bit strange - I use CompoNet all the time and just had my first issue. I found Remote I/O error code 9 in the CPU but cannot find what the code means. Went through the manuals and all errors appear to be in hex. Can anyone help at all please?
  24. Hello! So I have this issue with me by this week. I have an NJ with unit version 1.00. I had not did any download/upload on this unit. Due to the need of showing using Password capability on Function Blocks, I need to upgrade the unit firmware version, so I changed it to 1.10. After that I tried to program a simple two Sections program. I left the CPU for a week, then when I get back to it, I upload the program from the CPU. And the upload was SUCCESSFUL! No errors are shown. However all of the Rungs inside each Sections contains nothing. Even though the two Sections that I made before are still present. The program itself is still working though. If I open the previously saved project, going online and do variable controlling, I'm still able to do so. Has anybody experienced this before? Any suggestions / solutions? Thank you...
