SysmacStudio Team Development issue
scotty134 posted a topic in NJ Series / Sysmac StudioHello! I got into a situation when one of engineers from our team experience an issue with team development repository. Everything was perfect up to some point and worked well as it should. Last night after last "pull" from the repository he got a fault message in his SysmacStudio (picture below). I have checked this repository: I created new blank copy of this repository on my workstation and the project started without any issues. Anybody experience this issue before? Seems to me that it's some weird issue with SysmacStudio. Both work stations have same SysmacStudio versions 18.104.22.168008.
Error Indicator on FX3U-ENET-ADP
Akhmad Zaki posted a topic in MitsubishiHi all, I have finished installing ethernet adapter module FX3U-ENET-ADP on the FX3U-48M PLC. From the ethernet module, i connected it to a wireless router and then i am planning of connecting to the ethernet module using GXWorks 2 on my laptop through wireless router. On the ethernet module, the error indicator LED is on (red). From the FX3U-ENET-ADP, it means that there might be setting or hardware errors. I am asking if i have missed some steps on the installation process and if any of you have experience with similar problems. Thanks in advance for the answers.
FX3U PLC Monitoring with Ethernet Setup
Akhmad Zaki posted a topic in MitsubishiHi all, I want to ask some questions regarding Ethernet Communication with FX3U PLC series. I have 2 PLCs of FX3U series (FX3U-48M and FX3U-64M) and I want to monitor its data (input and output) using ethernet communication in real time. My questions are: 1. Does FX3U PLC have ethernet port so I can connect it directly to my Laptop/PC? 2. If no, do I need to use FX3U-ENET-ADP and can it be used for 2 PLC or only 1? 3. What software do I need to use to configure the communication between PLC and FX3U-ENET-ADP? 4. Does this configuration change the existing PLC program? 5. Can i transmit the data wireless-ly using some kind of ethernet to wifi adapter and what additional hardware do i need for that?
MicroWIN, problem: "Class not registered"
Mikk posted a topic in SiemensHello, I am not very experienced with Siemens PLC's I want to change program in one S7-200 CPU 226 (profibus). I have never connected my laptop to it before and I don't have that PLC's program. I have PC Adapter USB A2 cable for that and V4.0 STEP 7 MicroWIN SP7 program. I connected the cable, opened the program and tried different settings for connection, most of times the test in diagnostics says that status is OK. But! in communications window when ever I try to refresh the adapter is gives me error: "Class not registered" So I'm not able to upload the program from PLC to my laptop. Can anyone give me support?

Studio 5000 Logix Designer
id176293 posted a topic in Allen Bradley / Rockwell AutomationWe recently obtained a new Vendor ID (VID) Number from ODVA, 1477 for the purposes of developing an EtherNet/IP scanner device. When we try to use that number with the Allen-Bradley PLC & Studio 5000 Logix Designer, our data type REAL's are showing up in Studio 5000 as SINT's. We have seen this mangling of data types before when using the Omron VID, 47 with the same Allen-Bradley PLC/EIP Scanner. The data types are being misinterpreted, or mangled from REAL to SINT, e.g. the *.eds file defines 32 REALs for Input and 32 REALs for Output, but within Studio 5000 we see 128 SINTs each for Input and Output. It is as though the Allen-Bradley/Studio 5000 database does not have our Vendor ID. When I change the *.eds file, Vendor ID Number from #1477 to #1 then we see the *.eds file being properly read and interpreted, e.g. 32 REALs for Input and Output show up as 32 REALs each. Does anyone know what file we need to modify in Studio 5000 ??? We want to add our Vendor ID #1477 to that file. Hardware: EIP Scanner: Allen-Bradley Compact Logix L18ERM EIP Adapter: Delta Tau Power PMAC Motion Controller (EIP OpeNer Stack) Thanks in advance! [Other PLC Demo Software] - PAROCK1 for HMI/SCADA
Scadadoctor posted a topic in Download CommentsPAROCK1 for HMI/SCADA View File Now a software solution is available for your Modbus (MB) needs in Rockwell/Allen-Bradley Control Logix or Compact Logix (Clgx) family processors, instead of a traditional 3rd party hardware like Prosoft MVI-56, Molex SST-SR4-CLX-RLL etc. It is an Add-on instruction (AOI) for PLC/PAC firmware v16 or later, (other solutions are available for pre v16 systems). For hardware interface, use PLC’s channel 0 (serial) or TCP/IP Interface module(s) to have as many MB TCP/IP devices or serial devices. (Some limits apply based on system configurations, Comm. settings depending on HW used.) Connect any MB Client/Master or Server/Slave device(s) to your CLgx PLC, including flow computers, analyzers, VFDs, Power Monitors, Level gauges, Smart I/O, etc. All the MB public/native function codes are supported. 32-Bit integers/floats as single entity are supported with byte and word level swapping. A separate utility automates the data mapping to your PLC logic. Features -Serial Master (BASIC required Option); TCP; Slave; Redundancy; More than 5000 accumulative registers; MB CFC (Custom/Private Function Code) Support; Data mapping too – Between PAROCK1 & your PLC logic; Packaged with Rockwell; TCP/IP Interface Module; Volume Discounts; Annual Support Requirements -Rockwell/AB-CLgx processor with v16 or later. Contact PCI for earlier versions. -If using CPU’s Chan0, you cannot use Chan0 for any other user mode activity. USB To Lan Adapter Beckhoff Real Time Compatibiltiy
vinny posted a topic in Other PLCsHi I just given a swanky new laptop at work, which is lovely and everything, but does not have an ethernet port. Unfazed by this, I just got hold of a USB to LAN adapter and got to work. My primary development environment is Beckhoff TwinCAT, and was rather gutted to find there are no real-time ethernet devices on the machine(attached image for reference). I was wondering if there was any adapter that I could use for real-time ethernet device. I am aware of latency issues and this would only be used to test communication and make sure everything talk to each other. Cheers
