  1. MPI Connection problem

    Hi there. Recently I've experienced problems when connecting to a S7-300 PLC via MPI/PROFIBUS. I use a PG with CP5711 processor. The thing is that I'm able to connect when I plug the 6ES7901-0BF00-0AA0 cable (male to male) directly to the PLC connector, but when I try to do connect to a PLC that has any device connected to the DP port (let´s say an inverter or HMI) I get 33:17075 error. PG/PC Interface it's correct, in fact another PG with the same configuration is able to connect through the already connected DP device's cable. Station number and transmission rate is all correct.  So I tried the Simatic NET Diagnostics Test and I got error 0x0313 and since the mentioned parameters are correct I refered to this link:  How do Diagnostics and Remedy work in STEP 7 when an online connection with the CP... - ID: 11492532 - Industry Support Siemens Where they say the following:    I've searched for this readme file but can't find it, and there are no useful results when looking for it on internet.  Why am I able to connect directly to the PLC but not when another device is connected and I have to use the female connector of the DP connector itself? Should I try to reinstall CP5711 drivers? According to Windows, I got the last drivers for the CP.    Thanks in advance and I hope you can help me!

  4. We currently have Delta DVP60ES2 and DVP32ES3 PLC's doing positioning control on Inovance IS 620PS2R8I 400w Servo Drives by Pulse/Direction. Under both of these environments our pulse count read on the Inovance drives are reading higher than what the PLC is outputting. We also have Mitsubishi & Inovance PLCs, which when connected to the same Inovance drives dont have any discrepancies in the pulse count. We also have Delta ASDA servo drives, which when connected to the Delta DVP PLC's also don't have any discrepancies. Given we have tested these combinations, it has led us to believe there is something unique about the pulse train output from the DVP PLC's that is causing the Inovance drives to read additional pulses. Has anyone experinced a similar issue with Delta PLC pulse output? If so what was the solution? 
  5. I am using DVP-ES2 PLC with DVP04AD-E2. I connected the flowmeter to the analog input module (4-20mA). And I noticed something weird, when the flowmeter shows 4mA value (no water flow at all) the data in the PLC keeps coming like 20-30 (0-32000). And when I change to the other port of the analog input , it even reaches value like 100 although there is no water flow at all. Note: I have done proper scaling to Liter/second and do proper grounding. Do you know what is the cause of this?

  7. Hi there! I've been working with NB HMIs with good result. But today I loaded a project to a NB7-TW01B and it feels slow, both offline and online. Switching screens and reading/writing take around 1sec or more. It first had some bmp images created with .bmp and .png files, so I tried using vector graphics instead, but didn't get any better. I don't have another NB to try it right now so I'd like to ask you if you've been in this same situation before or what could be causing this. PLC is CP1L and communication it's via Ethernet. Both devices are actually pretty close (cable is less than 3m) and the previous HMI (Pro-face GP) felt a lot faster. Thanks in advance!

    Dear allI have DVP14SS211R series Delta PLC Which is having 24V DC supply voltage. I am using PLC as master and My end device as slave. My slave device set device_iD=1I am using Modbus RTU protocol for Function code1baud rate =9600parity =noneStop bit=1data length=8I would like to know how to send request with Function code 1(Read coil Register). i have attached code reference. Communication block it wont give error it shows 0 .means No error
  9. Hey Everyone,   My company decided to purchase a piece of equipment from China, and I have the pleasure of updating its terrible existing controls. We were given the PLC program by the manufacturer, so I was able to make my changes pretty easily - or at least that would be the case if I could actually connect to the dang thing. The source program is indeed openable and editable via GX developer (the original configuration shows it as an FX3). I figured connecting should be straightforward, but I was wrong.    I initially used a serial/usb converter that I've used on some older Allen Bradley equipment (which worked fine for that). However, after no luck using it on the "Mitsubishi", I purchased a different cable that I found recommended on this forum (Tripp Lite USA-19HS - https://www.alliedelec.com/product/tripp-lite/usa-19hs/70101537/?gclid=Cj0KCQiAj9iBBhCJARIsAE9qRtB_n8TVAnJdFyYokoEu42W6H6LaT4kVsgJQI1qvPUsUF3rFviKpbt0aApLHEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds). Still, no luck. I've tried 7E1 and every baud rate possible, as well as some other bit/parity configurations (and yes, I've verified that I'm using the right com port, as well as tried moving the converter to different ports and trying those). Nothing seems to go through.  I have almost no experience with Mitsubishi beyond a couple of FX5s (which have worked fine, but I connect to those via ethernet). Any help would be greatly appreciated; if I can't make these changes, I'm going to end up rebuilding the whole cabinet with a PLC I can rely on.   Thanks in advance.
  10. Hello !  The idea is to heat greenhouse with stable temp at 13*C.  Heating method is with circulating hot water(80*C) true pipe, and open/close three-way valve. Output 1 is for open big circul Output 2 is for close big circul valve is 50 mm , step is 10 mm per minute In theory water heater start at temp 15*C to be prepear and for about 40 min is ready with 80*C .  Temp is continue droping and at 14*C three-way valve start to open circul 1(big one) and need to open 10 mm  After 0.2*C drop down open 10mm again ...  and when temp is drop to 13*C 3-way valve need to be open at all 50mm ...  So the greenhouse is big ( arount 10.000 sq.m. )  And temp continue drop(or not) but in fact is drop to arount 12,5*C to 12*C and stop.  When greenhouse start heating. Temp is start to go up.  3-way valve need to start closeing,and at temp 13*C need to be fully close.  Problem is that : when temp is going up  Delta DT320 is operating at the same time OUT1(because temp is lower then 13) and the same time OUT2 is try to close, so the 3-way valve stay at the same place and not closing because is have "line" on open and "line" for close.  setting from Delta DT320 Control  Ctrl Method : PID RUN/STOP : RUN  Heat/Cool : Heat(out1)/Cool(out2) Com Write : enable Lock status : normal  AT : Stop SV control : Const SV Input  Type : 4-20mA Unit : EU SV : 13.0 Range Hi : 50 Range LO : -20 Pointer : 1  PID Parametyer  Pb : 0.2  Ti : 787 Td : 196 Ctrl Period : 20  I offset : 0.0  PID set : AUTO PID SV(auto) : 100.0    
  11. Delta Plc Solenoid Pulse

    Hi there, I'm working on a project on a cupcake machine. I have to throw empty wrappers so I'm using a photoelectric sensor to sense the empty cupcake and after 2.5-sec air solenoid activated with delta PLC to throw that empty wrapper. The thing which I want to discuss here is that I want to operate my solenoid with pulse means when the empty wrapper comes to the solenoid through the conveyor then the solenoid gives a pulse of air so the upcoming filled wrapped will not disturb with this air. how Should I program my delta plc it is a transistor base.   12. Error Indicator on FX3U-ENET-ADP

    Hi all, I have finished installing ethernet adapter module FX3U-ENET-ADP on the FX3U-48M PLC. From the ethernet module, i connected it to a wireless router and then i am planning of connecting to the ethernet module using GXWorks 2 on my laptop through wireless router. On the ethernet module, the error indicator LED is on (red). From the FX3U-ENET-ADP, it means that there might be setting or hardware errors.  I am asking if i have missed some steps on the installation process and if any of you have experience with similar problems.   13. Hi all,  I want to ask some questions regarding Ethernet Communication with FX3U PLC series. I have 2 PLCs of FX3U series (FX3U-48M and FX3U-64M) and I want to monitor its data (input and output) using ethernet communication in real time. My questions are: 1. Does FX3U PLC have ethernet port so I can connect it directly to my Laptop/PC? 2. If no, do I need to use FX3U-ENET-ADP and can it be used for 2 PLC or only 1? 3. What software do I need to use to configure the communication between PLC and FX3U-ENET-ADP? 4. Does this configuration change the existing PLC program? 5. Can i transmit the data wireless-ly using some kind of ethernet to wifi adapter and what additional hardware do i need for that?  
  14. Check serial connection to Omron PLC

    Hello, I am building an application in CitectSCADA and I want to communicate with an Omron Sysmac CS1G. The connection between the plc and the Citect computer is through an ethernet to serial adapter (the computer doesn't have com ports on board). I'm having some difficulty establishing the communication and I want to make sure that I can actually reach the plc. Is there a way to check that the computer can reach the plc over the serial connection without using CX programmer? Maybe using Hyper Terminal, Putty or something similar. Thank you, Liron
  15. Delta PLC Analog Wiring

    Good day all, I recently working an assignment to read analog data from sensors. I connected everything just as what the manual for sensor stated. My PLC is DVP20SX2 and the sensor data i want is 4-20mA. The analog sensor has two wires, Analog Output + and Analog Output GND. I connected the + to I0+ and the GND to the VI0-, but when I work online using the ISPSoft, I can't get any data. My doubt is the wiring. Can anyone guide me on this? Is my wiring wrong? does analog works the same as digital, where we have to connect to same COM?

  17. FTP from OMRON NX1P PLC to a Delta HMI

    Hi all, I'm looking to try and send data from the SD Card on my OMRON PLC to a flash drive on my Delta HMI - DOP107WV using FTP. So essentially I need to use the HMI as a FTP host. Is this possible? And if not, is there another way of doing this?  Thanks, Ibrahim

    Hi Everyone, I've just installed InTouch V10 and am trying to develop communication with Emulate5000, for educational purposes. I looked over the internet and found some videos on how to develop communications by setting up the topic name and node name in DA Server manager, but the issue I'm facing is that my SMC only shows logViewer and nothing else (snapshot attached). Am I missing some vital component or dirver? Or is there some problem with my installation? Help would be much appreciated.   P.S: Window Maker and Viewer are working fine. Thanks, Sabih

    I have 24 Siemens Siprotec relay(7sj62) which i want to communicate with Scadapack 330E (Schneider) on 103 Protocol. but every time I try to communicate it shows Slave device is failed to communicate. trying to communicating via serial (RS-485). What should i do..?? or do i need to communicate it with Siemens PLC..?? If so which PLC should use..??
  22. PC to PLC Kommunikation

    Hello, i want to connect my PC to the PLC(RSLogix5561)  over TCP/IP. In rslinx the Ethernet driver are configured. My PLC IP Adresse is 192.168.1.100 and my PC Adresse is 192.168.1.105. From my PC i can successfully ping the PLC IP Adresse, but from the PLC i can't see my PC. And it does'nt schow in RSlinx. Is there anything i am missing?

  24. Hello there, I am new to OMRON so need some help to communicate two PLC over FINS.   Here are the description of the system... (IO Table image is attached)   PLC1-  CJ2M-CPU33 IP- 10.113.218.34 SUBNET-255.254.0.0 UNIT NO - 00 (set the dial available on the CPU in HEX) NODE - 22 (set the 2 dials available on the CPU in HEX) PLC2-  CJ2M-CPU33 IP- 10.113.218.35 SUBNET-255.254.0.0 UNIT NO - 01 (set the dial available on the CPU in HEX) NODE - 23 (set the 2 dials available on the CPU in HEX)     Now, what i have to do is to transfer the D100 to D110 from PLC1 to PLC2's D200 to D210 and Transfer the D100 to D110 from PLC2 to PLC1's D200 to 210.   I have tried RECV and ECHRD blocks but didn't succeed yet.   Two CPU are connected over ethernet via a industrial switch.   Can you help me to achieve data transmission please...
  25. Hi All First ever post so forgive me if I do anything wrong. My customer has given me an FX5Uc PLC and a Delta DOP-B03S211 HMI. Comms need to be via serial. Ethernet not an option. I have configured the HMI as the Delta DOP datasheet(see attached) I have configured the PLC as: - MC-Protocol - 19200,8,1,Odd I however get an HMI error: - ########################################## COM 1 STATION 0: COMMUNICATION ERROR 3. READ ERROR No Response from Controller ######################################### I have created a simple page on the HMI  consisting of a push button (M reg) and a numeric display (D reg). When pressing the push button I can see the change in the PLC. (Transmission good) Any change of the D reg in the PLC is not reflected on the HMI. Confirms the message. I have tried all combinations of settings on both side but no joy. The PLC seems to be happy as it receives and transmits ok with no errors. Can any one see what I am doing wrong?
