Hi all , I have been using MELSEC - Q series plc for the past two project i dont find any issue with that but for the third project used same PLC same model but there is issue which I found unable to resolve The issue is when i try to communicate PLC using LAN cable by direct ethernet connection it works normally but by communicating using HUB network I cannot communicate, I checked all the parameters setting, I dont know what is the issue even contacted mitshubshi service to troubleshoot but they are not responding So here i am for your guidence to solve this issue see the images below to analyse this issue This connection is direct ethernet connection which works normally The parameters are set and writed to PLC The IP is set to my PC for communication When i try to find the cpu in the network it shows the cpu IP After that I checked for connection Test it show error I have also attached the Network route which i used to communicate Network Drawing.pdf I hope someone will help me to solve this issue Thank you , madhan ravichandran

Hi there! I got a NB with some daily data logs saved in a USB drive. The thing is, I've read about accessing NB via FTP and already tried connecting to the storage folder so I don't need to unplug and plug de USB drive every day. FTP is activated in the HMI but I'm struggling accessing using Windows' FTP function. Connection is okay, I can download the project to the NB from my seat and ping it. So here's my question, have you tried this type of connection? Is another software needed to properly access the HMI? Thanks in advance!

Hi there! I need to implement a data logging that saves the log in a USB storage for a machine and just started searching for some info about data logging in NB HMIs. Up to now I'm clear about using the Data History function and the sampling method I'll be using but I still have some unclarified doubts about this. 1.- The data log should sample the value of, let's say, a couple of words, each second for an entire day (6:00 am to 6:00 am). NB's manual doesn't say a lot about Storage Type and Buffer Storage in "Save Data History" tab. Does "daily file" mean It deletes the .CSV file daily and it generates a new one? If is it, at what time does this occur? Does "single file" mean it generates a file and won't get deleted? Does this mean the sampling stops when completing the first one? Is "storage period" used to keep the file after the next log begins? 2.- Is it necessary to display the element in order to make the log work? Or can it be placed in a random screen you only enter once a day? 3.- In the "Channel Properties" tab. If I need to get the binary value of a word, do I need to set the max. limit to 65535? 4.- I asume that "Sample points" value doesn't matter when selecting Continue sample mode. Am I right? TRENDS ARE NOT SHOWING ON MY FTVIEW SE V8 . AS DATALOG MODEL STARTS IT SHOWS UNABLE TO MAKE CONNECTION IN DIAGNOSTIC VIEWER . YOU CAN CHECK THE SCREENSHOT FOR THE SAME . I THINK DATALOG MODEL IS NOT ABLE TO CONNECT TO SQL DATABASE . WHAT MIGHT BE THE PROBLEM ? Please Help Guys .....

Hi all, I am new to the forum as well as being new to programming PLC's. I am trying to set up a simple data logging program using a Micro830, taking pulse readings from an energy meter. I have completed the program using tutorials, but i am struggling to set up the data log. The DLG function shows error 8 (real time clock is invalid) so i have tried to set up a real time clock but there are very little tutorials on how to do it. The RTC currently shows status 2 (RTC set operation failed). Please could someone please help me out so my boss doesn't disown me :( Thanks so much in advance! Andy

Sysmac Studio cannot be used with the current license

Hello everyone, I have this message when I trying to open my project which I did. "The project includes a model that cannot be used with the current license. The project is closed." I recently reinstalled windows, but version of Sysmac Studio is same, License is same, but now I not be able to open my project. I just tried to install last version of Sysmac Studio 1.25, and of course nothing changed, looks like issue with license. But again, license is same. -
Hi Guys, Anyone knows is it possible to run more than 1 datalog in FT View ME? And How? So far i in manual tells to switch from 1 to the other datalog. I need to run 5 datalog together. Thanks

Hi, I have machine with such a PLC. On the right side I saw only BBC. I tried to take out CPU to read model, but no success. CPU module is high 90 and wide 40. Do you have any iidea what it is and what software and cable I have to use to upload program. thanks in advance

FactoryTalk View ME Trend Fails to show Datalog Data when using Parameters

I believe I have found a bug in FactoryTalk View ME version 8.10. I have a trend object that uses parameter file placeholders on the connections tab. These are direct-addressed to the shortcut ie {[PLC]...}. The historical data from the datalog does not show. (The pens write lines, but when I navigate away from the screen and come back, the lines are gone and begin drawing again from the right side.) The current data does show. This tells me that the placeholders are correct syntax. When the screen loads, the placeholders are being replaced by a string which yields a correct tag path, or else the pens would not be writing correct data. When I replace the placeholders manually and directly address the tag, the historical data does show correctly. This tells me that the datalog is set up correctly and is logging data. I have verified that a previous project of mine, using I believe version 6.0, successfully used this method of using one screen and one trend to plot various tags using parameter placeholders, and the historical data did show correctly.
