  1. Hi All, I have a tiny Chinese controller all in one with 2 line text display. The documentation is not proper. GX Developer supports to program the devise. The devise is compatible to FX2N(C). Have any one in the forum used this type? I am not able to read its analog inputs AD0 and AD1 channels since I do not know which instruction I should use. I tries RD3A instruction but the PLC does not start. I attach a picture of the devise. Request support, Regards PLC-All-in-One-Text-Display-Domestic-Compatible-Mitsubishi-Op320-Industrial-Control-Board-10mt-Programmable-Controller.jpg_Q90.jpg_.webp
  2. FR-A740

Hi One of my friend want use more analog output on his vfd. Its a Mitsubishi FR-A740 type. Currently the AM signal is for current, but he needs the speed and frequency too.  As we saw its only one analog output is avaiable, but you guys might know better. Can someone confims our theory.   Thank you.
  3. I'm editing a dual language project for an NA5 HMI. It's working fine except for the message at startup. To modify the project I've had to update the firmware on the HMI. I'm using Sysmac Studio 1.15. Startup language seems to be set correctly. Any ideas?

  12. unit of time in D8284

Hello PLCmaniaccccssss, What is the unit of time in 'average time for the channel -1' (D8284) while programming for analog inputs? I have moved k10 to D8284 in my program in gxworks 2, does that mean the time average will be taken for 1Sec or 10msec or any other time unit??? I require this to eliminate the flickering of the input from the load cell transmitter. Thanks and God bless!!!
  13. Hello all,  I have a temperature sensor with a reading range of 10F to 212 . The input card I am using is an Allen Bradley 1734 IE8C 8 Channel Analog current input. The current input values are 4-20 mA. Currently I have my raw low at 4000 and raw high at 20000. Can anyone explain how do we go about selection of this values ? I found these values in the configuration tag of the input card properties.  Thank You
  14. I am new to automation systems and devices and I just want to know how to connect two HMI's (each one would control different things) to one PLC using Sysmac Studio and NB-Designer via Ethernet. The model of the PLC is NX1029020 and the HMI's are one NB10W-TW01B and an NB7W-TW01B. I searched for info about this topic online but I couldn't find anything that worked for me, I saw an article from OMRON where they connect two NB's to the CP series, but in my case, NB designer doesn't allow me to insert more than one HMI in the same project, I also found something similar on a youtube video that gave me an idea about how to connect multiple HMIs exporting the pks file and importing it to another HMI project but I still can´t figure out how to add both to my PLC. I would thank you a lot if you could help me with this because I know it's not a rare implementation, just I haven´t found the right way to do it. I also leave the links to the Omron article and the youtube video I found. https://www.myomron.com/index.php?action=kb&article=1554 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXx5lut7G9I
  15. Analog

  16. Q and iQ-R series

Hello,  I want to know, if it is worthwhile to transfer from Q series to iQ-R? Currently our equipment is using Q series, which ss a vacuum coating equipment with about 10 power instruments, 20 gas controllers, and pumps and so on. As for the analog and X, Y points, Q is quite capable.   I can not see any advantage to switch to iQ-R, but some people want to. So I want to know,       1. will Q be outdated in the near future?       2. will use iQ-R cost much more than Q? including peripheral units.       3. has iQ-R really been widely adopted?       4. thoug iQ-R may be powerful, I think use multiple middle size CPU's can be more advantageous,              is this right? Many thanks in advance. Ting
  17. I have a huge confusion regarding the retentive timers on FX3GE. According to the programming manual for FX3G(image attached), all retentive timers use the EEPROM. This is very confusing to me because the retentive timers are modifying the measured time constantly in an EEPROM register and EEPROM type of memory is known to be write limited. After a couple of million write cycles the EEPROM registers burnout. I've experienced this myself by constantly using the T250 and after a while it became unusable. The timer stopped counting time after some time. This leads to my decision that retentive timers on FX3GE PLCs are something that should бе used only on rare occasions so as to avoid EEPROM memory burnout. If this is true than the real question comes in: What is an alternative for using retentive timers on FX3GE when you want to measure time between two events. The instruction TTMR for teaching timer is appropriate however this instruction does not exist on FX3G series.
  18. Hello guys, how many (maximum) analog inputs/outputs can CPU 1215C can reach without any issue?   I try to search in google but can't find convincing answer.  Thanks for your help.
  19. I currently have a Rosemount 87 series flow meter connected to a 1756-IF8H analog input module.. We are not receiving flow from the device, and the channel is showing a diagnostic code of 009... I can not find a diagnostic code list anywhere explaining what this means, has anyone had any experience with the diagnostic codes for HART Devices?
  20. Hi,  I have a CP2E PLC (CP2E-N30DRD) with an Analog In/Out board CP1W-MAB221. I can't find a method to setup it correctly (the ERR LED is fixed in ON state). The "W516 (Section10) CP1L-EL_EM ANALOG OPTION Boards" manual says to "set the baud rate of the relative option port at 115200bps in Toolbus mode.", however in CX-Programmer , under "Settings" and "Serial 1" tab there is not such protocol. In w614 (cp2e software manual) and w613 (cp2e hardware manual) I haven't found any other tips. Can you help me please? Thank you.
  21. Good day everybody,    Currently I am working on an application using 3-axis controlled by a QD77MS4 Simple Motion Module.  In this case, I have already set up most of the configuration, but when I try to execute the program, I get the following error:   SP. UNIT ERROR - The location designated by the FROM/TO instruction set is not the intelligent function module/special function module.  - The module that does not include buffer memory has been specified by the FROM/TO instruction.  - The intelligent function module/special function module, Network module being accessed is faulty.  - Station not loaded was specified using the instruction whose target was the CPU share memory.   The QD77MS4 Module is mounted in Base Slot #3, so I use U2\G800, U2\G1500, etc... to Read/Write from it.  The Diagnostics tool indicates the error occurs as soon as I try to access the U2\G800 Buffer Memory. If I set this part of the program to No Execution the error is no longer displayed.  Additionally, if I try to monito the Buffer Memory area of the Module, it says that "The Module Stat Address is incorrect".   I already tried changing the position of the module in the base (Slot 3 --> Slot 1) and changing the corresponding values to reflect that, but still the problem persists.    What am I doing wrong? Is there some kind of configuration I could be missing?    Thanks in advance for your help!
  22. Hi All,  I am trying to limit the number of character for user to key in data edit . However, I put numbers inside it shows me invalid number of character. Anyone know how to solve it ? Note; My variable is in String Type
  23. Hello, everyone I have to query a SICK distance sensor from an L26CPU via the onboard Ethernet interface. I have created a simple protocol which I start with the function block SP_ECPRTCL. Unfortunately it takes at least 25ms until the next telegram is started. The sensor responds within approx. 1.5ms. Does anyone know whether that works faster or is that a limitation when using the predefined protocols? Sensor manual:  OD5000, 8021391 (sick.com)  (Chapter 7.4) I am grateful for all the hints. Thanks and regards Dave SICK_Protocol.tpc Messaufbau_vTest.gxw
  24. Hello! I'm trying to connect my QD75M2 with a MR-J2S40B1 Servo amplifier with an SSCNET cable. The problem is when I try to turn on the Servo ON/OFF on the Intelligent function in GxWorks2, an error occurs saying the servo amplifier is disconnected with my QD75M2. I'm confident that I've wired it properly. What could be the problem? Hoping you might help. Thank you.
  25. Q68ADG - Abnormal Analog Input

Hi guys, So I found that CH2 on Q68ADG is abnormal. Whenever I short the termination, the digital value goes max to 4096. Input is set to 4-20mA with normal resolution. I tried to simulate 4mA-20mA but still same result. Does this mean the CH2 is damaged? Equipment at site is normal and give 5mA signal. Thanks!
