  1. Hallo everyone, i have a logix5561 PLC wich control a pumpsystem. The Pump is driven by a linear Motor. I need to perform frequency tests on the system. So first of all i  want to know how i can generate sine wave with this controller? I google it but didn't find any valuable information.   Can i perform such tests without additional hardware?  thanks for your replys!
  2. Hello! I am new at PLC programming. I am using TM221CE16R PLC with TM3AI8 analog input module and SoMachine Basic v1.6. I am trying to scale analog input value. I am using 4-20 mA pressure sensor. I managed my wiring so that I get raw values in SoMachine Basic. But I don't know how to scale these values to usable values. My sensor works in range 0 - 16 bar. What is best way to get values? Is it PID function block or multioperand function block using equations to get range 0 - 16? I will appreciate your help.   Thanks in advance!
  3. Siemens Field PG M3 - PLC Programming Rugged Laptop for Sale   Condition is Used   This is a Siemens Field PG for PLC Programming.   Purchased several years ago as part of an auction lot and has sat in my workshop since, I don't do much Siemens so this is up for sale - This is what I know about it :-   The machine has Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit installed (Machine has Windows 7 Ultimate on the base but been upgraded at some point) 8GB ram installed It has a windows XP VM installed which runs the Siemens Programming software (Virtual Box) There is a folder on the desktop containing the original installation files, so would be easy to return back to the host machine if required. All software appears to be licensed (see pics)    Has Step 7 and Step 5 installed   Negatives - Missing the back flap & Battery not being recognised thus not taking on charge (I think this is a just BIOS update needed but not looked into it too much)   In very good overall condition, a few light marks but that's about it, still looks very good.   Comes with the original branded rucksack    This was a really expensive bit of kit in its day and still stands up as an excellent PLC programming machine   Open to sensible offers - I am located in the UK so worldwide postage will have to be calculated seperately   I have powered it up and it works well with no issues found, the PLC software all seems to work and appears fully licensed but as I am not the original owner and don't know the provenance of the machine or licenses this machine is sold with no returns or warranty provided.
  4. Hello, I'm trying to execute the loopback test on the RS-422 built-in port of GX3GE-40M. I connected the TxD pins to RxD pins (+ to +, - to - ). I'm trying to use the function rs2 (later the plc should communicate with a bar code reader). I have tryed all possible connections, to see if the PLC can read the signal as well as transmit it. It manages to transmit the signal, but I cannot get it to read it. Could someone help me troubleshoot if the problem is in the program portion?  I'm working in GX Works2 Thanks for any and all help test_plk.gxw

  6. CC-Link Protocol with a CJ2

I have an IAI servo that was sent to us with CC-link protocol. I have never in my life used cc-link and can find very little on the topic on integrating with an Omron CJ CPU. I am curious as to whether this has been done, or is even possible given the protocols Omron works with. And if so, what did you have to do to get the PLC to communicate via CC-link. Thanks in advance for the responses!
  7. Mitshibisi to Fanuc Robot with cc link

Good day all. I was wondering if someone can assist with the setup between a Mitshibisi R08SFCPU using a RJ61BT11 to talk to a Fanuc Robot controller. So in the screen shot attached i added a generic station because i can not find a file for the fanuc robot. The problem is that it does not give me the option of setting the Rx and RY registers. So not sure how to assign the relevant IO. Anyone with knowledge with this would be great
  8. RIWT special relay

Once agin hello all, im pretty sure, that in the past i found in some manual special relay (SB????), that was set on when PLC was executing RIWT instruction. Now im trying to find once again, but with no luck, ive searched through all manuals that looked relevant, but nothing... any help will be highly appreciated.
  9. Hello. I am trying to make a serial RS 232C connection between Schneider Magelis HMIGXU3512 and Omron PLC CP1E. However, there seems to be a communication problems between both of the equipment. I am using cable XBT Z9740 for the serial communication cable. The format used is 8.2.N for both equipment. The baud rate is 115200. No Flow Rate is choose. Anyone can help with this kind of problems?
  10. Hi guys, I have an M221 and trying to read process data from a HACH controller via Modbus 485. In the Read_Var function block I need to configure ObjType, FirstObj, Quantity and IndexData. Slave ID is 3 and I am using SL2. So, say if I wanted to read to following registers, Register #40001, Data Type Integer, Length 1, Description- Sensor Measure Register #40005, Data Type Float, Length 2, Description - Sensor Temp Register #40007, Data Type String, Length 6, Description - Sensor Name what do I put into the Read_Var function ? I am completely new to this and it's just not clear to me. Thanks John

  12. Hi all, This is my first post here, I read through the FAQ, searched the Allen-Bradley forum and this one for my question but couldn't quite find what i was looking for. My main questions is: Is it possible to programmatically change the service code of a MSG instruction?  It is possible to change the class,  instance and attributes but the application I'm currently writing would be a lot simpler if all I had to create is one instance of the MSG block (and its data) . The only thing stopping me is the service code.   Edit: I'm using a CompactLogix 5380-L306ER   Any input is greatly appreciated!
  13. OMRON CP1L PC Link over Bluetooth

Greetings, My application is utilizing two Omron CP1L PLCs connected through an RS232 serial link to achieve PC Link. We're essentially using this setup to message data between the two PLCs. With a hard-wired link, it works great. I can force bits in the master PLC, and see them in the slave PLC. However our application requires this link to be wireless. We got our hands on two SENA Parani SD1000 units. I've worked with these units previously to connect a serial scanner to a Rockwell PLC quite successfully. After reading through datasheets, we figured out the pin-out from Serial Comms unit fitted to the CP1Ls wasn't quite standard. So we adapted our own cables to re-route VCC and SG appropriately. So with a hard-wired link, this setup works, and the comms units on the PLCs have a nice solid lit up comms light. But with the wireless parani connection, the comms light lights up, but it is very dull compared to the wired link, and we get no data transfer. I've verified to the best of my understanding that the comm settings all match, at 9600 Baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, and Even parity. Just curious if anyone has any suggestions to get this working, or if there are any settings that I might have missed that make PC Link a unique form of RS232 that these parani units can't handle? I've identified online alternative units known as the Promi SD205-OA, which has a pin-out to match the OMRON CP1L PLCs. As far as I can tell though, the units themselves function the same as the Parani SD1000 besides this pin out. Anyone know differently? Presently the serial connections made are Tx -> Rx, Rx -> Tx, Vcc -> Vcc, and SG -> SG. Would I require anymore connections? Our wired link seems to work just fine with just those connections.   Any help would be greatly Appreciated!!
  14. Everyone, Using a Q series Mitsu PLC interfacing with a M1P Pilz Safety PLC - and only receiving 32 bits from the SPLC. I have the station setup in GXWorks2 as a device station (occupying 4 stations). I am receiving only the 1st station of the 4 designated. (It is node 9 in the snippet) Any tips on this? (First time posting btw) Thanks, Elliot
  15. Hi gays. I have a problem with my indradrive when I try to jog a Rexroth MSK motor. Indradrive: HCS02 (Basic Universal, single axis), control unit: CSB01.1C-SE-ENS-EN1-L1-S-NN-FW     &      power unit: HCS02.1E-W0012-A-03-NNNN Servo motor: MSK100B-0200-NN-S1-BP0-NNNN For joging (testing the motor in closed loop servo just with pc), I think need to run easy startup mode under the commissioning tab of indraworks software. (or am I wrong?) I connected the drive  via serial interface (out of the drive X2 connector) to my pc, and connected the drive to motor encoder port (out of the drive X8 connector).  I power on the drive (via X13) and go to easy startup mode, I face an "F3130 Error when checking input signals" alarm which I can not clear till now. referring to online help  I find some remedies declares that the problem arise from wiring. I tried to examine X41 connector with supplying 24v to it in various situations. but the mentioned alarm is resisting. anyone can help?
  16. Hi every one, I'm new here. Is there any CC-Link IE field basic master or simulator that can be use on Windows PC, for testing  CC-Link IE field basic slave communication ?   Thanks in advance
  17. Hi Guys I was wondering if any one of you could tell me how to set up some basic button functions? 18. Hello folks,   I am a rookie, self-training in PLC programming. I have written an SFC exercise (attached ACD file). I also try to call STL written subroutines and add-on instructions, from within the SFC main program. Calling the created subroutine works fine, but calling the add-on instruction fails from a reason which is above my level. I tried, tried and tried different solutions, with no avail. I am either wrong in writing the add-on (perhaps some missing but missing tag ?), or wrong is calling it. Can someone please give me a hint on what I do wrong ?   Thank you, Radu PS . I use Studio 5000 v24, combined with RSLogix 5000 Emulator.     SFC_trial.ACD
  19. Hi   I'm beginner from plc programing, I  need to sent data (D0000-D0010) to PC through Host link mode . i just sent data from PC to PLC with command serial port is work only like below PLC_Serial.println("@00SC0252*");//sent to monitoring mode PLC_Serial.println(CalcFCS("@00KSHR 004500"));//set H45.00 to hight PLC_Serial.println("@00SC0352*")//sent to run mode but  PLC to PC i don't know how to do . Could you advise me ? Thank you.
  20. Hey everyone! New member here, and this site has always been a big help!  I try to help other folks too, but a lot of guys are super quick on here.   I've got a problem using some obscure components. I inherited a sensor network at work that uses Panasonic S-Link and I need to read them from a Q-Series. Panasonic makes a module that slots into the Q Series called an SL-VMEL-Q that I have.   My question is:  Did I do everything correctly on my Mitsubishi side? I put it into the parameters as an intelligent module with 64 points and I put the correct address in for the start I/O. Is that all I have to do?  This is the first time I used a module that wasn't on the drop down list when you add one in GX Works 2.   I can read and write to the buffer memory, but I can't get the unit to send to or receive from the sensors. I think the problem is that there is no end unit on the S-Link line (I don't know if it's just a terminating resistor or what), but it previously worked without one, so I can't be certain.
  21. Hey guys, I've question about Transient transmission (TT) via CC-link using FX5 as a master. According to chapter 4.3 in "FX5 User's Manual (CC-Link)" only way to access TT is via computer with GXworks3. Is there some workaround to use standalone FX5?   Thanks again
  22. CC-Link IE + C#

We have a controller written in C# and need to integrate a servo.  We are looking at the Mitsubishi servo MR-J4 line.  Unfortunately it doesn't support Modbus TCP but does have the CC-Link IE protocol.  Does anybody know if it is possible to talk to CC-Link IE via C#?   I'm having a helluva time trying to find an answer.  I see some thing about Seamless Message Protocol (SLMP) and CC-Link but the info is somewhat sporadic.  Any advice is much appreciated as I've never worked with the Mitsubishi product line (but interested in their PLCs).
  23. Here is a link to a thread on a recent post showing how to communicate serially to an Omron PLC using VB.Net. This uses the Omron Host Link serial protocols. (C-Mode Commands) It will read 10 DM registers and display them on the form.   http://accautomation.ca/implementing-the-omron-host-link-protocol-vb-net/ Here is the source program that can be downloaded. 24. RS232 ascii to CC-Link

Hey all, im looking for some way to convert ASCII msg from rfid reader send through rs232 to CC-Link, I've found AJ65 from mitsu and some converter from Anybus, but I would like something much smaller...   changing readers for some CC-link compatible is most likely out of question (unless reader will be cheaper than converter), because they are legacy HW with hundreds of them instaled   Thank you
  25. Hallo. I want to know if its possible to write to eeprom of an A800E inverter via cc-link ie. I have successfully written and read any parameter to the ram. But now i need some parameters to be stored in the eeprom. Im using the A8NCE card on the inverter. The manual only states a bit to write speed and torque to eeprom, but nothing on any other parameters.
