  3. CC-Link IE Protocols

Hello, There seem to be a lot of different CC-Link IE protocols: CC-Link IE Field Basic CC-Link IE Field CC-Link IE Field Motion CC-Link IE Field Safety CC-Link IE Control CC-Link IE TSN This causes me some confusion. Are there as many variations of Ethernet/IP and PROFINET? Can you point me to a good comparison of the different CC-Link IE protocols? My understanding is that: CC-Link IE Field Basic: 100 Mb/s Non-deterministic? Good for non-time-critical communications (e.g., setting a drive speed) Implemented in software Traffic can co-exist with other TCP/IP traffic Max 64 stations Addressed by IP address Star topology I believe the other protocols are all 1 Gb/s, are deterministic, are addressed by station number, are implemented in hardware and each needs its own isolated network. CC-Link IE Control is used for communications between PLCs and robots. CC-Link IE Field is used for remote I/O and CC-Link IE TSN is used for even faster remote I/O communications. Please let me know if any of this is inaccurate. Thanks,

  6. Hello, I currently have a PLC in a machine that is a CP1H. A newly developed machine uses a CP2E PLC. The newly developed machine is supposed to communicate with the CP1H where the CP2E is a slave. I am not able to find much documentation on this specific set-up. I was wondering how to set this up. As the shared words of each PLC are on different adresses. I can't really find any documentation or any examples on how to do this. Can somebody help me with where to start with this?   kind regards, Ralf
  7. Hello friends I have worked with other series of omron plc but this is the first time I am working with cqm1h cpu51 series. In a factory, 4 of these PLCs exchange data with each other with a clk21 card. After a problem with one of the CPUs and replacement, I was never able to download the datalink settings. I did all the steps in the manuals step by step but I did not succeed. In cx-net software, after selecting online, I selected the data link menu, but as you can see in the attached image, the setup button is never activated. Thanks for guiding me
  8. NE1A-SCUP02-EIP

Does anyone have experience with the NE1A-SCUP02-EIP safety PLC? We had a machine shutdown yesterday with a L9n4 error on the NE1A unit. The manual says this is a tag data link error. Does this cause the safety PLC itself to shutdown? I always thought the EIP portion of the safety PLC was only used for status reporting to the PLC. The safety portion is strictly on DeviceNet and is independent of the EIP network.  The CJ2 PLC's error log tells me it had problems communicating with the safety PLC, the VFD, and NX I/O's which were all in the same panel going through an Ethernet switch.

  11. Wednesday Woes

Hello, I'm sure I'm not on the right forum for my problem but I was hoping one of you knowledgeable folks will be able to point me in the right direction. I'm having some trouble with a control setup for a simple mechanical deployment / interlock. The application is a 3 panel solar array with a fixed centre panel. The other 2 panels are attached to linear actuators which will drive them outwards with the aid of a nifty hinge and are staged with relays and limit switches. I am having some issues with being able to disengage the leaf 1 / 2 changeover relay without ever making it inoperable in the first place.  Up until there it's all pretty straight forward. I have attached a couple of pictures of the issue.  If anyone knows of a more suitable forum I can take this if I'm in the wrong place.  Please advise. I can upload the DWG file when CAD stops hanging itself eventually Thanks!     Drawing2.dwg

  14. I am new to PLC programing, I want to connect FX5U and MR-JE-_C via CC-link. When I connect FX5U and MR-JE-_C directly everything works, but when I connect them in HUB (I need to use HUB because later I want to connect GOT2000) I am getting error 86.1(network communication error) on amplifier. Previously I set up IPs shown on pictures below, now sometimes works, sometime doesn't work and sometimes works for 30 seconds and I get same error. Did I miss something? I don't know what to try else.
  15. Omron NJ501 - IFM IO-Link - Wenglor U1KT001

Hi, I am looking at reading an ultrasonic sensor value through IO-Link, using a Omron NJ501-1320 PLC connected through EtherCat to a IFM AL1332 master with a Wenglor U1KT001 Ultrasonic sensor. I have managed to read the 2 outputs of the sensor using this: Output_1 := TestABit(USINT_TO_BYTE(TxPDO_input_byte_1_6000_02),USINT#0); Output_2 := TestABit(USINT_TO_BYTE(TxPDO_input_byte_1_6000_02),USINT#1); But cannot read the ultrasonic sensor distance value, this is what page 2 in the manual says: Measured Value in 1/10 mm 2…15 14 Bit 300…4500 Octet 1 Subindex 3 (LSB) 2 1 Bit Offset 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 0 I tried a couple of conversions but couldn`t get the distance reading. Any ideas? Help appreciated.
  16. Hello everyone! I've installed GX works 3 according to the instructions in "https://plc4me.com/gx-works3-v1-308q-mitsubishi-full-real-100/". I don't get any errors, I can run the PLC and simulate completely OK. In the communication test, when the configuration is missing some components in the module list: Input, output, I / O module,... (https://ibb.co/ZVMcmQn) I hope you can answer for me?
  17. Hello everyone, As the title suggests I am trying to display on a GOT1000 the real time frequency that the inverter is running at. I have attached my CC-Link settings and the associated programming as well. I tried using the example program from Mitsubishi but I got lost. From my understanding I should be seeing the output frequency in W3C4 however, I am not receiving any data. Any help would be appreciated.
  18. HMI on CC LINK IE FIELD

Hello all, kinda lazy question, but I'll rather ask, before I'll went to deep into HMI scripting. Because of a design of CC link, there are RWr and RWw Is there any simpler solution for displaying value stored in PLC, while also letting HMI operator change the value and save it to PLC, than scriting in HMI? hope it makes sense to you thank you in advance
  19. I am having a very weird issue that Rockwell was not able to help with.  I have a new SE application that I converted from RSView32 and I re-wrote some VBA code associated with the project.  The code works fine on the server while the screen is running in studio.  Once I deploy a Client it no longer works.  It just sits there like its waiting for my trigger to go off, but I am seeing it sit there with a 1 so i know it should be executing the code because as soon as i open the screen in studio and press play the code executes and my data is there.  Does anyone have any ideas for me?   Thanks
  20. The CC-Link system on a machine has been intermittently dropping out.  Normally the Link Scan Time runs at a solid 87ms.  When the system "drops out", the link scan time will increase.  Sometimes double, triple, or go up 10x. It happens when the machine is running or when it sits idle. There are 33 stations on the network.  The same stations do not always fault but sometimes all of the stations will fault at once (as seen in the attachment pictures.) We have changed the main QJ61BT11N, the processor, the Q62N power supply, the main backplane (base unit), all cards on the main backplane.  Is it possible for one station or one of the cables to create a network wide problem?  Any ideas thrown at us would be appreciated.
  21. Hallo everyone, i have a logix5561 PLC wich control a pumpsystem. The Pump is driven by a linear Motor. I need to perform frequency tests on the system. So first of all i  want to know how i can generate sine wave with this controller? I google it but didn't find any valuable information.   Can i perform such tests without additional hardware?  thanks for your replys!
  22. Hello! I am new at PLC programming. I am using TM221CE16R PLC with TM3AI8 analog input module and SoMachine Basic v1.6. I am trying to scale analog input value. I am using 4-20 mA pressure sensor. I managed my wiring so that I get raw values in SoMachine Basic. But I don't know how to scale these values to usable values. My sensor works in range 0 - 16 bar. What is best way to get values? Is it PID function block or multioperand function block using equations to get range 0 - 16? I will appreciate your help.   Thanks in advance!
  23. Siemens Field PG M3 - PLC Programming Rugged Laptop for Sale   Condition is Used   This is a Siemens Field PG for PLC Programming.   Purchased several years ago as part of an auction lot and has sat in my workshop since, I don't do much Siemens so this is up for sale - This is what I know about it :-   The machine has Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit installed (Machine has Windows 7 Ultimate on the base but been upgraded at some point) 8GB ram installed It has a windows XP VM installed which runs the Siemens Programming software (Virtual Box) There is a folder on the desktop containing the original installation files, so would be easy to return back to the host machine if required. All software appears to be licensed (see pics)    Has Step 7 and Step 5 installed   Negatives - Missing the back flap & Battery not being recognised thus not taking on charge (I think this is a just BIOS update needed but not looked into it too much)   In very good overall condition, a few light marks but that's about it, still looks very good.   Comes with the original branded rucksack    This was a really expensive bit of kit in its day and still stands up as an excellent PLC programming machine   Open to sensible offers - I am located in the UK so worldwide postage will have to be calculated seperately   I have powered it up and it works well with no issues found, the PLC software all seems to work and appears fully licensed but as I am not the original owner and don't know the provenance of the machine or licenses this machine is sold with no returns or warranty provided.
  24. Hello, I'm trying to execute the loopback test on the RS-422 built-in port of GX3GE-40M. I connected the TxD pins to RxD pins (+ to +, - to - ). I'm trying to use the function rs2 (later the plc should communicate with a bar code reader). I have tryed all possible connections, to see if the PLC can read the signal as well as transmit it. It manages to transmit the signal, but I cannot get it to read it. Could someone help me troubleshoot if the problem is in the program portion?  I'm working in GX Works2 Thanks for any and all help test_plk.gxw
