  2. CJ1M-CPU12 Host Link Protocol(FINS)

Hi all,I tried connect to CJ1M-CPU12 with Host Link Protocol from PC.I sended(without spaces)  "@00FA F 00000000 0101 82 0038 0A +FCS *Cr" through peripheral port for read Dm area. But PLC didn't answer.I tried again with 19200 7E2,9600 7E2,115200 8E1.But  result is same no answer.DIP switches on the PLC are are ON all of them.I read W342-E1-14 CS_CJ_CP+HostLink FINS ReferenceManual. But I didn't solve this problem. Finally hooked Rs232 Port and sended same code with 19200 7E2.PLC sended to me "@00???".Is peripheral port settings wrong? If it is not what's wrong? Thank you
  3. Basic HMI Graph

Hello All   I'd like to display data in 2 or 3 arrays as a graph on a KTP400, does anyone know of a way to do this, I know I could use a trend display , the only issue I have is that the array will be updated in around 10 to 20 msecs per element, and as far as I am aware the time between the trend values need to be 1 sec or more. Any comments would be appreciated.
  4. Is there a way to choose with %MW you use depending on the value of %SW49? For example, i have 7 %MW: -%MW4 that needs to be active when %SW49 :=1 -%MW8 that needs to be active when %SW49 :=2 -%MW12 that needs to be active when %SW49 :=3 -%MW16 that needs to be active when %SW49 :=4 -%MW20 that needs to be active when %SW49 :=5 -%MW24 that needs to be active when %SW49 :=6 -%MW28 that needs to be active when %SW49 :=7 so is there a way to say %MW0 := %MW(4*%SW49) on a operation block?
  5. Hi, I'm working in so machine basic v1.5 and I'm wondering if it is possible to change the start time and stop time in a schedule block with a %MW. So is there a possibility to for example say %CH0.??? := %MW5 in an operation block? And is there a page where u can see al the possible codes. I already discovered that %TM0.P changes its preset but i don't find a list of al those possibility's.

Wanting to write to Balluff Smart Lights via IO Link Master IP #BNI EIP-502-105-Z015.  I can find lots of literature on setting up the communication via E/IP in RSLogix 5000 but haven't located anything with Machine edition for writing the data over IP.  I am utilizing an Rx3i platform with IC695CPU315 and IC695ETM001 for network access
  8. Help with CC - Link IE Field

Hi Im working with an iQ-R CPU wich controls 6 conveyors with a CC-Link IE Field Network, the CC-Link module is a RJ71EN71. Each conveyor has a remote I/O (NZ2GF2B1-16TE Digital outputs main module with a NZ2EX2B1-16D extension for Digital Inputs). The communication in the CC - Link IE Field diagnostic appears to be OK, but I can´t send or receive IO signals from the Batch Monitor of Gx Works 3. Thanks for your attention!
  9. FX5 CC-Link IEF Basic

hello. I have developed project with 3 FX3U PLCs with ENET modules for communicating between them, and one of fx3u connected by profibus with 2 fx2n-32DP-IF I/O station (developed just hardware). This project still wait when customer accept it. I'm exactly sure that it will work perfectly. But now i think about exchange old and expensive fx3u to fx5u. I search for best solution for this task on fx5. I have a doubt with I/O station. Each remote station consist of 32 inputs,16 outputs, 8 AI. So i considered as a solution CC-Link IE Basic because no need buy additional modules. Did someone use fx5 CC-Link IEF Basic? As i understand ie field basic configurations like simple rs485 cc-link with occupied station, not like full ie field. FX5U can be the master of CC-link IEF basic with embedded ethernet with 6 slaves station and can be local station with FX5-CCLIEF module. But i not sure that i can use fx5 with NZ2 CC-Link IE Field Remote I/O. I have a doubt with configuration this station, because in CC-link IEF i can add this station and see how many rx/ry rww/rwr points i need, but for CC-link IEF basic configuration i can add just CC-link IEF basic module and choose number of occupied station. Slave 1) NZ2GFCE3-32D + NZ2EX2S1-16T (32/16) and  NZ2GF2BN-60AD4 + NZ2EX2B-60AD4  (8 AI). Slave 2) NZ2GFCE3-32D + NZ2EX2S1-16T (32/16) and  NZ2GF2BN-60AD4 + NZ2EX2B-60AD4  (8 AI). So can it work if not what device can be used with CC-link IEF basic? What benefits can give cc link ie field basic network than ethernet socket connection via UDP between 3 fx5 plcs? Or easier way using ST lite series and try to connect via modbus tcp.(as i understand fx5 provide p502 and modbus tcp)

  11. My intention is create a visual basic program with access (or excel), if possible with a Cold link (so I wake up when I need data only). See if you can orientate me about the best way and solve my doubts. I am pretty new to all this. I have several Allan-bradley plc’s in the Ethernet network. Several PC’s with windows 8 and excel/acces in the latests versions I have a server in the net where I have installed RSLINX gateway version. I have created a topic and I can see the PLC variables in there OK. In rslinx  commnications -> I have set the click “enable rslinx classic gateway” I have run the OPC test client and it works OK according to some test Ihave found in google 8so OPC/DDE server is active etc) I want to retrieve Data in My PC from the rslinx that is in that server called BCNA08. I have colleagues that know how to run the EDIT ->copyDDE/OPC link and create a HOT LINK in excel in the same computer for other versions of rslinx (lite I believe) that they had for tests purposes. So I try the same but of course it does not work for a PC that is nor running RSlinx. My Rslinx is in BCNA08. How can I set a hot link (excel continuos update) and cold link (visual basic open/close communication). Any help or suggestions will be welcomed. Any good link to learn more too.
  12. CC-link no digital output

Hello, I have set up a new CC-link to add I/O to our existing factory PLC (Q03 series CPU). The CC-link system comprises of a master station (QJ61BT11N) and a remote device station (STlite STL-BT1) with several DI, DO and AD modules. Parameters are as per the STlite quick start guide example except no. of occupied stations is 3. In PLC Parameter I/O assignment the master station is a intelligent type and occupies 128 points from 0D00. Digital/analogue inputs are being read in the CPU and there are no error lights on either the master/remote stations. However digital output commands are not registered at the remote device station (LED lights on the module show which DO is active). Any help is greatly appreciated, I'm new to this and I've been hitting my head against a wall for a while on this one now. Cheers
  13. I'm using TM221CE40T PLC with TM3DI16 DI extension. I'm programming it using SoMachine Basic. In the program I implemented a counter (%C0). I've read in the documentation that %Ci.V stores the current count value. I want that to display this value on a Magelis HMIS5T. How could I store the current count value (%Ci.V)? Thanks in advance!

  17. Simulation in Foundation Fieldbus

Hi Guys,  Did anyone performed the process value simulation of Rosemount 5300 Level Transmitter (FF Communication) using Emerson 475 communicator? The simulation jumper is not available physically on the device. The only simulation option in the hand held communicator available in the following path.  Configure>>Manual Setup>>Classic View>>Advanced Transducer Block>>Parameters1.. But that option too is highlighted and not editable. Can anybody help me how to simulate the value from device so that I can check in my host DCS (Siemens PCS7). Thanks in Advance, GJ
  18. I am adding a remote device to an existing cc-link network. The master station is an A1SJ61BT11 and the CPU is A2USHCPU-S1. The CC-Link network currently has 20 remote I/O stations and I am adding a remote device. The A1SJ61BT11 has parameters written to its internal memory. In order to add my new remote device, I think I need to only change two parameters: First, I need to change parameter address H1 from 20 to 21 since my device will be the 21st. Second, I need to change station information parameter address H34 from 277 to 4373 to enter it as remote device. I looked at the example in IB(NA)-66721-J(0310)MEE, section 6.3. In the example, they are setting up the parameters for the first time. However, I am only changing two of the parameters. I followed the example except I only entered rungs to change the parameters for H1 and H34. My question: If I run the parameter setting program to only enter parameters for H1 and H34, will it affect the other parameters the original programmer entered? Could they go back to default? Any advice? Thanks in advance
  19. Here is a link to a blog post that will use Excel VBA to communicate to the Omron Host Link. It program NETComm.ocx for the serial driver. Here is pat of the blog... In Part 1, we used VB6 to communicate from the computer to the PLC. We will now use Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) to accomplish the same task. NETComm will be the serial driver and Excel will be the program that we will use. Using Excel we will have access to the Excel Object Model so we can utilize worksheets, ranges etc. Please refer to Part 1 (How to Implement the Omron PLC Host Link Protocol) for the details of the wiring of the serial port and protocol sequence. Continue to the blog post... Thought that I would share. Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you, Garry

  21. Omron CJ1M-CPU13-ETN to .NET Framework

Hello People, In my school we had an assignment to program a Sorting machine using an Omron PLC and CX-Programmer. Now we got the assignment to make an HMI that we can open on our own computer (Windows 8.1) so that we can control various things of our program, such as reading and writing bits, and other data (To the PLC obviously). Now I only have very little experience in reading and writing data from a PLC (Using a PC), I have used the libnodave library to connect to a Siemens S7-300 PLC. With this I managed to read and write bits, and also read and write data to a DataBlock. We wrote this program in Visual Basic 2013 using the .NET Framework with the libnodave library as an added extension. Now I have searched far and wide on the internet but have not come across any good examples of how to do this with an Omron PLC. So I hoped that I could get some advice from you guys. What I'm asking is if anybody here has maybe a link to a guide/ example program/ manual that could get me forward? And if I can easily get this done with Visual Basic, by adding an extension, could anybody tell me which extension this would be? And where I could find it? I appreciate any help. :D Thanks in advance, BitsNBytesRookie

  23. Hi, First time posting on here, but been a reader for a while. I have an issue with a Mitsubishi setup and I really need to resolve this ASAP. The system is based around a hot standby CPU (Q12PRH) on 6 slot backplates with a CC Link (QJ61BT11N) and Modbus (QJ71MB91). Connected to these racks is an ST Lite CC Link head station (STL-BT1) with 10 output cards (DO8) and 14 input cards (DI8). The CC Link has been set up in GX Works 2 and I don't have any ERR lights. What I do have, and don't want, is a flashing I/O LED on the ST Lite head which I have been reliably informed means the device hasn't been initialised. I have tried to do this using the X78, X79, Y78 and Y79 commands as the ST Lite head is set to occupy 4 slots, device ID is set to 1. Due to the Q CPU being a hot standby GXW 2 will not let me specify the start IO numbers, which would typically be x1000, y1000 based on their examples. I have therefore assumed it is starting at X0 and Y0, hence the X78, X79, Y78 and Y79 bits for setting the station. I have also tried using X1078, X1079, Y1078 and Y1079 as in the examples assuming it had auto addressed the start at 1000 and not 0000. Any help will be appreciated, Cheers.
