  1. Is it possible to read (and maybe write) the software limit values of a G5 servo from NJ code? It appears that PDO entry 607D would allow this, but how can I read/write to it? I don't seem able to map that entry to I/O. Thanks.
  2. Looking for a servo user manual.

I'm looking for a user manual for the R88D-KN50F-ECT-L 5kW linear servo motor drive with EtherCAT. I have found Omron manual I577-E1-02, but this seems to only cover drives up to 3kW (R88D-KN30F-ECT_L.) It may be that there are no huge differences between a 3kW and a 5kW model, but I would like to have a manual that covers it if possible. Is there a more up to date version somewhere? Thanks.
  3. http://accautomation.ca/how-to-implement-the-omron-plc-host-link-protocol/ OmronHL.zip Here is some software and website that will show you how to implement the Omron Host Link Protocol. The sample was written in VB6 and will read the first 10 DM registers. Let me know what you think. Regards, Garry
  4. Hi, First time posting on here, but been a reader for a while. I have an issue with a Mitsubishi setup and I really need to resolve this ASAP. The system is based around a hot standby CPU (Q12PRH) on 6 slot backplates with a CC Link (QJ61BT11N) and Modbus (QJ71MB91). Connected to these racks is an ST Lite CC Link head station (STL-BT1) with 10 output cards (DO8) and 14 input cards (DI8). The CC Link has been set up in GX Works 2 and I don't have any ERR lights. What I do have, and don't want, is a flashing I/O LED on the ST Lite head which I have been reliably informed means the device hasn't been initialised. I have tried to do this using the X78, X79, Y78 and Y79 commands as the ST Lite head is set to occupy 4 slots, device ID is set to 1. Due to the Q CPU being a hot standby GXW 2 will not let me specify the start IO numbers, which would typically be x1000, y1000 based on their examples. I have therefore assumed it is starting at X0 and Y0, hence the X78, X79, Y78 and Y79 bits for setting the station. I have also tried using X1078, X1079, Y1078 and Y1079 as in the examples assuming it had auto addressed the start at 1000 and not 0000. Any help will be appreciated, Cheers.
  5. q series plc, cc link communication

I want to communicate between two cc link master module placed in two separate panels. could any one please tell me the instruction used?
  6. I have an application using Kinetix 6500 servos and Compactlogix PLC. The app requires a change to the MasterPositionFilterBandwidth(MPFB) at particular times during gearing motion depending on the circumstances. This value can be changed instantly using an SSV instruction but I have found the new MPFB value does not take effect until the Axis is stopped or turned off. Once either of these has occurred, the new MPFB value becomes active on the next gearing motion instruction. Can anyone help me with how I can make this MPFB value take effect immediately?
  7. I have a 2 axis control that runs a pair of identical servo drives. as of late I have been getting reports from the operators that the two motors, while jogging forward will suddenly run in the reverse direction at a high rate of speed. There is not a reversing function on these axes in an way. I am suspecting there may be a problem in the analog output of the module causing an inversion of the signal which in turn causes the motors to run in reverse. This setup has been in operation without any instance of this happening for around 5yrs before any issue with out of control runs. All cabling has been checked and is properly shielded and grounded.

  10. Trying to add points to a QLC link from WDPF to SLC5/04, incorporating a 1770-KF2 DH+ interface module. This link has been in place for years, incorporating only DCS reads (both digital and analog). We recently added several more DCS reads successfully, but cannot seem to get digital or analog DCS writes to be seen by the registers in the SLC5/04 data table. Could this be a limitation by the 1770-KF2 module, or is there a more probable reason? SLC5/04 DH+---------1770-KF2---------QLC Could Duplex settings on the 1770-KF2 module have a bearing on this dysfunction? Successful DCS analog reads PT101, N9:2, A0000 PT102, N9:3, A0002 DP103, N9:4, A0004 Unsuccessful DCS analog writes PV101, N9:18, A0500 PV102, N9:19, A0502 PV103, N9:20, A0504 Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  11. Dear experts, I have been trying to flash parameter to QD75MH1 module from PLC. Every time I monitor the servo via GX-configurator QP, I find 0 error, 0 warning but in the history tab it shows "start not possible(108)". But when I did it by flashing the parameter by GX-Configurator QP(Specially invalidating forced stop option" it works fine and servo motor jogs. can anyone help me to write the forced stop value from PLC program?
  12. Combine 2 Machines with CC-Link

I would like to combine two existing machines with CC-Link. Each machine has a QJ61BT11N set up as its Master Station. The larger machine has 26 remote I/O and 4 remote devices. The smaller machine has 1 remote device (see the attachment). Each are already programmed and running. The larger machine has HMIs that I would like add screens to in order to control the smaller machine as well. The smaller machine would basically just need to send and receive a handful of signals... start, stop, manual, origin, e-stop, fire specific outputs, etc. What would be the best way(s) or simplest way(s) to connect and communicate between these machines? I am open to any advice and ideas. Thank you Machine_Addition_Via_CCLINK.bmp
  13. HMI on CC-link network

Hello, can someone recommend HMI's which can be connected to my cc-link network? or is it better to use a PLC on the cc-link network and attach the HMI to the PLC? I just find the GT16 very expensive and I believe they need CC-link IE? Thanks you.
  14. CC-Link Master

Good day pals! Can I ask something about the CC-Link Network? I have a concern regarding cross-communicating two CC-Link Masters using MC Works Master PC. Can you guys help me with the system architecture? Thank you very much. Your help will be greatly appreciated pals. Thanks a lot.
