  1. Looking for some servo application help. Software: I have GX works 2, GT Designer, and GX Developer.  Hardware: PLC L06CPU-P, GOT2000 HMI, MR-J4-350B servo amps, HG-JR35JK motors, LD77MS2 Pulser I have (2) AC servos that will simply move an aluminum frame backwards and forwards using a FESTO belt mover and I have a servo gear reducer 20:1. I have a "simple motion module"and all of this hardware and software, plenty of time, and would really like to finish this project off. But this is my first servo and my first hmi project. I have some experience with Omron, Mitsubishi, and Allen-Bradley plc's, and consider myself novice at best. Any sample programs or help getting me started would be greatly appreciated!
  2. Help with CC - Link IE Field

Hi Im working with an iQ-R CPU wich controls 6 conveyors with a CC-Link IE Field Network, the CC-Link module is a RJ71EN71. Each conveyor has a remote I/O (NZ2GF2B1-16TE Digital outputs main module with a NZ2EX2B1-16D extension for Digital Inputs). The communication in the CC - Link IE Field diagnostic appears to be OK, but I can´t send or receive IO signals from the Batch Monitor of Gx Works 3. Thanks for your attention!
  3. FX5 CC-Link IEF Basic

hello. I have developed project with 3 FX3U PLCs with ENET modules for communicating between them, and one of fx3u connected by profibus with 2 fx2n-32DP-IF I/O station (developed just hardware). This project still wait when customer accept it. I'm exactly sure that it will work perfectly. But now i think about exchange old and expensive fx3u to fx5u. I search for best solution for this task on fx5. I have a doubt with I/O station. Each remote station consist of 32 inputs,16 outputs, 8 AI. So i considered as a solution CC-Link IE Basic because no need buy additional modules. Did someone use fx5 CC-Link IEF Basic? As i understand ie field basic configurations like simple rs485 cc-link with occupied station, not like full ie field. FX5U can be the master of CC-link IEF basic with embedded ethernet with 6 slaves station and can be local station with FX5-CCLIEF module. But i not sure that i can use fx5 with NZ2 CC-Link IE Field Remote I/O. I have a doubt with configuration this station, because in CC-link IEF i can add this station and see how many rx/ry rww/rwr points i need, but for CC-link IEF basic configuration i can add just CC-link IEF basic module and choose number of occupied station. Slave 1) NZ2GFCE3-32D + NZ2EX2S1-16T (32/16) and  NZ2GF2BN-60AD4 + NZ2EX2B-60AD4  (8 AI). Slave 2) NZ2GFCE3-32D + NZ2EX2S1-16T (32/16) and  NZ2GF2BN-60AD4 + NZ2EX2B-60AD4  (8 AI). So can it work if not what device can be used with CC-link IEF basic? What benefits can give cc link ie field basic network than ethernet socket connection via UDP between 3 fx5 plcs? Or easier way using ST lite series and try to connect via modbus tcp.(as i understand fx5 provide p502 and modbus tcp)

  5. I am searching for the Replacement of the Ultra 5000 Servo Drive as i cant get online to it with the Ultraware software over wireless plant network. In order to get online i have to connect serial cable every time. And the Drives are used in time critical assembly line  kind of environment. So is there any other replacement which works as intelligent as of Ultra 5000 and also have additional feature of built in Ethernet port which can help me to get online with it wireless over plant network.
  6. Omnuc U software

Hi, I have begun to look into some positioning equipment we have had for a while. There is a CQM1 CPU51 connected to R88D-U series servo drives, and a CS1 with C200HW-NC113 and a R88D-U. I have found WinMon on myomron, but not tried to install it yet, will it run at all on a Win7 machine or do I have to dig out some older PC? Same with the NC unit, there is mentioned a SYSMAC-NCT program in the manual, but I have not been able to find this anywhere, Is this still a commercial item? Are there any newer software that will communicate with these old units? If we decide to upgrade any of this, will we have to replace all, or is it possible to reuse the servomotors or other parts? This is all for educational purposes, no production or safety issues involved. I would of course like my students to work with the most updated systems, but unfortunately we are on a limited budget :( Geir

  10. Hello All, I'm in the process of tuning a motor and I understand almost everything that is happening.  The only thing that doesn't really make sense is how frequency relates to the speed of the motor.  For instance, let's say my 3db point is at 100 Hz.  I understand that from 0 to 100 Hz my motor is stable.  If I have a 3000 RPM motor, how does 0 to 100 Hz relate to the maximum speed I can run the motor and still have precise positioning. Thank you

  12. CC-link no digital output

Hello, I have set up a new CC-link to add I/O to our existing factory PLC (Q03 series CPU). The CC-link system comprises of a master station (QJ61BT11N) and a remote device station (STlite STL-BT1) with several DI, DO and AD modules. Parameters are as per the STlite quick start guide example except no. of occupied stations is 3. In PLC Parameter I/O assignment the master station is a intelligent type and occupies 128 points from 0D00. Digital/analogue inputs are being read in the CPU and there are no error lights on either the master/remote stations. However digital output commands are not registered at the remote device station (LED lights on the module show which DO is active). Any help is greatly appreciated, I'm new to this and I've been hitting my head against a wall for a while on this one now. Cheers
  13. Hi guys, been using this site for a long time, it has come in handy alot. However I have recently taken on my first servo project, heres an overview of the project We have a filling machine that has a separate dosing system to the filler head. It used to keep the dosing in time by adjusting a 0-10v signal to an inverter to make sure that a flag makes a sensor in a set window. I have installed an encoder on the filling head and an mpl servo to the dosing. I have then used an MAPC instruction to follow the encoder, the cam is 0-360 and it follows a straight linear line. I have installed of this as a temporary set up on one of the filling machines (we have 2) and it is working perfectly. I have now installed this on the second machine as a permanent set up with a panelview plus 7, L71 cpu. However it is giving a very strange problem on first power up, the encoder is giving the exact same position as before it was powered down. however as soon as the MAPC executes the servo axis  faults, giving an overspeed fault. the servo doesnt even look like its attempting to move (however it is through a 10-1 gearbox). if i then home the encoder it then runs absolutely perfectly until it is powered down again. I am beginning to think it may be to do with the master lock and cam lock position, as the cycle stop position of the two machines are different. however I just cant seem to get my head around i the difference between them.   Hopefully that makes sense any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks Rhys   c1_dosing.ACD

  18. Beginners Servo Help Required.

I have been programming Omron plc's for a while but have not used any servo drives. I have customer who is free issuing the following equipment for a project he wants programmed.: cj1m cpu21, r88d-gt04h, r88d-gt08h, r88m-g40030h, r88m-g7503h-s2. The small drive is connected to a simple ball screw moving a stop. The second drive is connected through a gear box and chain drive full details not known to date.  I have read the cj1 manuals and will be generally using  pls2 commands for the position movements.  Are the drives plug and play? If I connect the drives leaving the parameters as out of the box defaults should the drives operate using the pls2 command. In this condition I assume it is 10000 pulses per rev of motor. I can scale positions with maths in Plc and send the required pulses. Any guidance appreciated to confirm I am on the write track. I assume I could also use the electronic gearing parameters. Any examples using 5mm ball screw!
  19. Hello Dears, I am studying to control position via Mitsubishi device Now, I have Q172 CPUN and MR-J2M(MelServo) to control position. But, I didn't find manual that explain command and parameter to do it and it has the example to do it. who have experience to control position, pls help me to overview it. Thanks so much!
  20. Hi... i want to ask about QD75D4, how to change rotation direction in positiont data ? If position data number 1 is CCW and position data number 2 is CW.   I try give value 100 (hope run CCW) and -100 (hope run CW) on posiition length but not respond.   Parameter axis #1 Control system = 2:INC linear axis   Any setting mistakes ?   Thank you
  21. Please suggest me about these issues: Issue: No Rotation 1.     The motor links are slack or release. 2.     Distant issue is stuck in the glide. 3.     The motor load is extreme. 4.     The bearing are shabby. Issue: Overheating 1.     The rotor is in part demagnetizing cause extreme motor present. 2.     Motor voltage is exceeding the highest value. 3.     The duty cycle is extreme.
  22. I am adding a remote device to an existing cc-link network. The master station is an A1SJ61BT11 and the CPU is A2USHCPU-S1. The CC-Link network currently has 20 remote I/O stations and I am adding a remote device. The A1SJ61BT11 has parameters written to its internal memory. In order to add my new remote device, I think I need to only change two parameters: First, I need to change parameter address H1 from 20 to 21 since my device will be the 21st. Second, I need to change station information parameter address H34 from 277 to 4373 to enter it as remote device. I looked at the example in IB(NA)-66721-J(0310)MEE, section 6.3. In the example, they are setting up the parameters for the first time. However, I am only changing two of the parameters. I followed the example except I only entered rungs to change the parameters for H1 and H34. My question: If I run the parameter setting program to only enter parameters for H1 and H34, will it affect the other parameters the original programmer entered? Could they go back to default? Any advice? Thanks in advance
  23. Here is a link to a blog post that will use Excel VBA to communicate to the Omron Host Link. It program NETComm.ocx for the serial driver. Here is pat of the blog... In Part 1, we used VB6 to communicate from the computer to the PLC. We will now use Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) to accomplish the same task. NETComm will be the serial driver and Excel will be the program that we will use. Using Excel we will have access to the Excel Object Model so we can utilize worksheets, ranges etc. Please refer to Part 1 (How to Implement the Omron PLC Host Link Protocol) for the details of the wiring of the serial port and protocol sequence. Continue to the blog post... Thought that I would share. Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you, Garry

  25. Is it possible to read (and maybe write) the software limit values of a G5 servo from NJ code? It appears that PDO entry 607D would allow this, but how can I read/write to it? I don't seem able to map that entry to I/O. Thanks.
