  1. Hi guys, I'm in another project with another brand on PLC and this time I thick I hit a pretty solid wall. Long story short, I need to change a -10 +10v signal send to a DC motor drive based on a "recipe" selected with a 10 positions camswitch. I've never programmed schneider PLC, except the zélio one who are pretty simple to understand. Apparently Modicon are much more complex to program with the knowledge I have. Is there documentation available somewhere I can use to understand how to code analog output.
  2. Hey there forum guru's!!! I am trying to read through the manuals for an NX-HAD401 High Speed Analog Input Card.  It is not very clear as to where you assign your variable in order to grab a channels analog input value.  Can you point me in the right direction? I am thinking it is in the "Analog Input Values 1 to 10" and if so why is it set up as an array?  Is it because it takes the average of the samplings and uses the result as the channels input value? I am sure I will have more questions but this may clear up a few.

  4. FINS Communication with C++

    Hi, I'm having a little trouble connecting to a PLC from my program. I thought my previous post a few months ago fixed it, but apparently it did not do much. Here is my code: And here is the resulting reply from the PLC after converting it to hexadecimal So far, I've narrowed it down to the issue that my program is sending 64 instead of the 18 that was specified by the FINS command. I assume that the received error is due to the fact that the PLC did not receive the correct instructions from my program. The "End" is not sent by the PLC, it is a personal note for me to know where the received message ends. My goal is to simply receive signals from D00 to D68. I imagine that the received string should be in the form of: 00 C0 00 02 01 01 00 01 00 00 01 01 [Response Code] [Data] Can someone help point out where I can start looking for why my program is sending 64 instead of 18? I do think I am messing up something simple here, but I'm not sure where to start. EDIT: To clarify the models, I am connecting over Ethernet to an Omron CP1L-M40EDT with CP1W-CIF41 Thank you in advance!
  5. Delta PLC Analog Wiring

    Good day all, I recently working an assignment to read analog data from sensors. I connected everything just as what the manual for sensor stated. My PLC is DVP20SX2 and the sensor data i want is 4-20mA. The analog sensor has two wires, Analog Output + and Analog Output GND. I connected the + to I0+ and the GND to the VI0-, but when I work online using the ISPSoft, I can't get any data. My doubt is the wiring. Can anyone guide me on this? Is my wiring wrong? does analog works the same as digital, where we have to connect to same COM?

  7. Hello everyone, As the title suggests I am trying to display on a GOT1000 the real time frequency that the inverter is running at. I have attached my CC-Link settings and the associated programming as well. I tried using the example program from Mitsubishi but I got lost. From my understanding I should be seeing the output frequency in W3C4 however, I am not receiving any data. Any help would be appreciated.

  9. IC200ALG264 Analog Input module

    Hello all, Thanks for the forum which has provided me with a lot of help overtime. I'm posting my first thread since I can't seem to find an answer to my issue. I'll quickly explain the situation: I'll be installing a RTD sensor to a GE Fanuc IC200ALG264 analog input module using a 4-20mA converter. Everything is fine except I can't seem to understand the polarities of the Fanuc inputs. I'll explain better: the module has an IC200CHS022 for the terminals, 15 terminals total, and the manual is reporting a "number" and a "connection" for each terminal. Now, the "number" seems to correspond to the visible pin of the terminal. But the positive and negative symbols are represented on the "connection", which I can't seem to wrap my head around what it means. Attached are abstracts from the manual and a photo of the terminals. Please tell me where to connect positive and negative outputs of the 4-20mA converter. Thank you.   12. Hello! I am new at PLC programming. I am using TM221CE16R PLC with TM3AI8 analog input module and SoMachine Basic v1.6. I am trying to scale analog input value. I am using 4-20 mA pressure sensor. I managed my wiring so that I get raw values in SoMachine Basic. But I don't know how to scale these values to usable values. My sensor works in range 0 - 16 bar. What is best way to get values? Is it PID function block or multioperand function block using equations to get range 0 - 16? I will appreciate your help.   Thanks in advance!

Siemens Field PG M3 - PLC Programming Rugged Laptop for Sale   Condition is Used   This is a Siemens Field PG for PLC Programming.   Purchased several years ago as part of an auction lot and has sat in my workshop since, I don't do much Siemens so this is up for sale - This is what I know about it :-   The machine has Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit installed (Machine has Windows 7 Ultimate on the base but been upgraded at some point) 8GB ram installed It has a windows XP VM installed which runs the Siemens Programming software (Virtual Box) There is a folder on the desktop containing the original installation files, so would be easy to return back to the host machine if required. All software appears to be licensed (see pics)    Has Step 7 and Step 5 installed   Negatives - Missing the back flap & Battery not being recognised thus not taking on charge (I think this is a just BIOS update needed but not looked into it too much)   In very good overall condition, a few light marks but that's about it, still looks very good.   Comes with the original branded rucksack    This was a really expensive bit of kit in its day and still stands up as an excellent PLC programming machine   Open to sensible offers - I am located in the UK so worldwide postage will have to be calculated seperately   I have powered it up and it works well with no issues found, the PLC software all seems to work and appears fully licensed but as I am not the original owner and don't know the provenance of the machine or licenses this machine is sold with no returns or warranty provided.

    Hi every body, could you please help me; i have a mitsubishi plc serie iq-rwith the followings modules:powersupply r61p, r01cpu , rx40c7 inputs , ry10r2 outputs , r60adv8 analoginputs and r60da4 analog outputs. i am newbe with mitsubishi plc ;i would like to learn using the analog output of the R60DA4.for exemple i would send a digital value to the ch1 and convert it a voltage that i can mesure on the output of channel1.i have tried but i didn't succeed.i am using gxwork3.i have configured channel1 as +10v -10v output, normal mode , normal output;then i made a simple program in sfc to try this conversion but i get nothing in the output of channel1. i found that the digital value should be sent to the adress D11 wich is the adress of channel1.here you will find the file i made with gxworks3.could you please help me.     Hi all, I am trying to set up a PID loop for a project I'm working on, and I was hoping someone could take a look at it for me. Most of what is written comes from the Q, L programming manual, but I've changed a few things so that the program can write changes to the SV as needed.   20. Hi Friends,            I am in a requirement to control huge nearly 300 channels Analog in a system. That is through PLC i  need to give a Voltage output for 250 channels. Which Configuration will suitable for this requirement.        Is it possible?    Any difficult is their in controlling this much Analog output in PLC?   Kindly advice me..  
  21. Analog range

    CP1L-L14DRD CP1W-AD041 I have my configuration words set to #80BB for both output words with the intention of having 0-10 input. With my input voltage at 5.25 I get 6300 the maximum range. I entered the bit wise in my calculator 1000000011011101 and it converts to 80DD. Tried both those options with the same result. Can anyone shed some light on what the problem is?
  22. Hello there, Today i have commissioned my first project with OMRON make PLC. Model: CP1L-EM40DT1D. (CX-Programmer) I have 2 built in 0-10V Analog Inputs on the plc. for analog input no-1 i get the digital value of 0-1000 in specific plc register address corresponding the 0-10V. (Factory setup) But today on site, i have noticed that some miner value of 0 to 50 is always coming and fluctuating very fast in that register, however the transmitter are genetaring 0.0V only (I have checked using digital multimeter with high precision) PLC and Transmitter are already grounded and all the cable connections are tight as well. so how to overcome this high fluctuating value ? is there any setting to filter the input ?

    Good Day. Someone could help me to convert following ST code to FBD? I can make a program in ST language. I am trying to figure out how FBD works.  IF Var_1 THEN Var_2:=true; Var_1:=false; END_IF; IF Var_3 THEN Var_2:=False; Var_3:=false; END_IF;     Note: Var_1 and Var_3 are controlling from PC through Modbus TCP. 
  24. This is a bizarre one... CompactLogix, 1769-IF8 with 1492-AIFM8-F-5 wiring system. My client has reported several instances where one of his flow rate displays is frozen at its maximum value.  Each time, I have gone to the site, found that the value in the analog input tag is at full scale, and measured more than 20mA at the input - as much as 28mA!  I measure it using a clamp-on meter and I measure it at the input module (1769-IF8) and the external, pre-wired terminal block (1492-AIFM8-F-5).  I cycle power to the PLC.  No change.  I cycle power on the transmitting device.  No change.  I disconnect and reconnect the input (signal wire at the module or the terminal block) and everything goes back to normal.  This has happened on multiple channels on multiple input modules and with two different types of transmitters. I didn't install this system, but it seems to have been done properly and it had been running fine for many years.  These problems just started happening out of the blue. Has anyone out there had any similar experience?  This is a new one for me after more than 25 years in the business.
